Animal Crossing Switch is one of the most anticipated game of 2019. No official information have been released since the official announcement where Nintendo declared the existence of the village simulator. Today a rather official video emerged declaring the unfortunate delay of Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch. But rest assured, Animal Crossing Switch is not delayed.

Rumors have been circulating around Animal Crossing Switch for months now. With names like Animal Crossing – Welcome Home, Island Life and others appearing almost on the daily. Fans of the game are holding their breath for this years E3 where Nintendo will hopefully show us some gameplay and provide us with a release date, just like we received for the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield.

The video that was released today features development head Shinya Takahashi who apparently talks about Animal Crossing Switch and it being delayed due to quality issues of the game as seen in the cleverly written subtitles of the video.

However some internet troll trying to upset the (understandably) impatient Animal Crossing community, used the Metroid Prime 4 video in which Nintendo announced that the game would undergo a complete reboot due to the company being unhappy with the quality of the game.

So no, do not panic, Animal Crossing Switch has not been delayed. While there is a chance it could still be delayed, Nintendo recently confirmed in a call to its investors that Animal Crossing Switch is still slated to be released in 2019 along with Pokemon Sword and Shield and other Nintendo games.

You can watch the troll video below.

It has been confirmed that Nintendo will have Animal Crossing Switch coverage at the E3 conference.

At this years E3, Nintendo plans to hold a Direct that will cover the release of all the popular games coming to the Nintendo Switch. Many wonderful titles will be making an appearance at the Direct, including the ever-illusive Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Switch! You read right, the news we have been dying for is just around the corner.

Looks we will finally be learning everything that we need to know about the release this auspicious title! This news couldn’t come at a better time considering that we may also be seeing a smaller, and less costly, version of the Switch on the market soon! The combination of the two will breathe new life into the Animal Crossing community like nothing before!

Other titles on the list for discussion are Mario Maker 2, Pokemon Sword and Shield and The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening. Although all titles will be amazing additions to our Nintendo libraries, it is the imminent news of AC Switch that has us at myPotatoGames reeling with joy! The news will be aired at 9 a.m. PT on June 11th, right at the start of the E3 conference.

    We can’t wait for E3!!!!

We’re not even halfway through the year and the games keep on coming! There have been quite a few announcements from us of indie projects in the making or with set release dates that you may have forgotten. We at myPotatoGames have compiled a list of our favorite games and most recent news with their dates and platforms so you can mark them on your calendars!

If you haven’t the time to play all of these wonderful titles, we’ve narrowed them done by categories so you can decide what you like the most in your games. Most games will fit in multiple categories but we’ve let you know where the main focus seems to lie.

    Games for Cat Lovers

We wanted to emphasize that there will be games where you can either be a cat or pet and play with cats. Most games below are about farming and exploring but cats will always get a special mention from us!

Games that are Remakes or Switch Ports

Many games are either being remade/remastered or simply being ported to the Nintendo Switch which is definitely still exciting. Rune Factory 4 Special for example was originally on the Nintendo 3DS and will be getting the new addition of the Newlywed Mode. Click on the links in the titles for more.

    Games for Zelda Fans

The Legend of Zelda may not be getting a new core game anytime soon but there are still great things in store with the series! Link’s Awakening, a remaster from the original Game Boy game, looks quite charming, and the Cadence of Hyrule spin-off is an interesting choice for a mash-up. Tunic, has a cute lovable fox that looks like Link and was heavily inspired by the series.

    Games with Monster/Creature Pets

If your favorite part about farming games are raising the animals or you like to be able to capture or befriend monsters/creatures, then these games are for you! In Ooblets, you get to actually “grow” said creatures in your garden.

    Games for Animal Crossing Fans

What makes an Animal Crossing game so great is all of its features combined with customization, decorating, and performing daily activities. However, what really stands out is its socializing aspect. In these games you will be able to interact with all of the townsfolk and make new friends!

    • Littlewood – May 2019 – PC and Nintendo Switch
    • Sunvale – TBD 2020 – PC, Linux, Mac, and potential for consoles
    • Hokko Life – TBD – PC and potential for Switch and mobile

    Games with Crafting/Building & Exploration

You might enjoy being able to build or create objects with items you have found by foraging and traversing wondrous landscapes. If so, check out the games below.

Games with a Large Focus on Farming

These games offer many things to do on your farmstead with crops and animals to care for. These are games similar to the ones we all love; Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons. However, Atomicrops has added the use of guns and fighting off mutants in your gardens so click below for details.

    Games with Platforming or Puzzles

Platform games have a lot of precisely-timed jumps and puzzles to solve to progress further in the levels. From Etherborn’s anti-gravity mechanic, to Super Mario Maker 2’s ability to create your own courses, these games all offer more than your average games in the genre.

    Games with Unique Twists

It’s a little harder to describe these games as they have combined elements and genres together to form quite a unique gaming experience. Untitled Goose Game is one such game where you play as an annoying goose, and sneak up and play mean tricks on villagers.

Hopefully you have found this guide helpful and don’t forget to click on the links provided for more information on every game. Stay tuned as we announce more new and exciting games coming our way!

The Pokemon Company has released a new video detailing what’s to be included in The Isle Of Armor expansion pass.

Pokemon Sword & Shield is the most recent game to be released in the Pokemon series, and it continues grow. The upcoming expansion pass, called The Isle of Armor, will add many new features, areas and Pokemon. The expansion pass will officially release on June 17th, and will cost $29.99.

In addition to new Pokemon, we will also see some Galarian forms of Pokemon that we are already familiar with. The Isle of Armor will be an all new location in the Galar region, and will include a new gym to conquer. The will also be a few new features added to the game, which were outlined by the Pokemon Company, and are as follows…

    The Isle of Armor

New features from the expansion pass.

Cram-o-matic — The dojo on the Isle of Armor houses a unique take on recycling in the form of a device called the Cram-o-matic. If players feed it four items, it will combine them and give out a new item in exchange. Trainers can receive any of a variety of items, including Poké Balls, PP Ups, and more. Some combinations might even produce rare items.

Tutor Moves — Completely new tutor moves will also be available on the Isle of Armor. Trainers can have their Pokémon learn them in exchange for Armorite Ore, a substance that can be found on the Isle of Armor through Max Raid Battles and other means. Burning Jealousy is a new Fire-type move that can be taught starting with these expansions. When it hits, it deals damage to all opposing Pokémon and burns all opposing Pokémon that have had their stats boosted during the turn. Grassy Glide is a new Grass-type move that can be taught starting with these expansions. This move has high priority when used on Grassy Terrain.

Max Soup — Max Soup is a special dish made from rare ingredients you can gather on the Isle of Armor. If a Pokémon with great hidden potential drinks Max Soup, it will become a special Pokémon capable of Gigantamaxing. Some Pokémon that Trainers are already traveling with may also gain the ability to Gigantamax.

    Isle of Armor Video

The Isle of Armor is one of two expansion passes that have been announced thus far. The second, The Crown Tundra, will be released sometime this fall.

For more information on The Isle of Armor, be sure to stay tuned to the Pokemon Company official Twitter account.
