Rolling Hills is a super cute life-sim about running your own sushi restaurant in a town full of anthropomorphic animals. All of the inhabitants are amazing and friendly, and even fix up the restaurant to give to you for free. In return, they would like a little help sprucing up their town.
Rolling Hills is still in development, and the devs are pushing for a release of sometime this year. So far the game is only announced for PC, but will most likely come to console, if all goes well. And looking at some of the recent changes, my guess is that we will eventually see Rolling Hills on the Nintendo Switch.
The developers have been working diligently on many upgrades to the overall aesthetic of the game. The buildings have recently gone through some fine tuning in an effort to really make the town come to life. It is mentioned that there is an effort being made to “make things cuter, smaller, and more detailed.”
The feel of the environment has changed to that of a more simple style, allowing the town to see more progress, as opposed to an already pretty developed zone at the start. With all of these lovely upgrades being made to the game, it appears that Rilling Hills will definitely have a nice comfy home in the life-sim genre.
Rolling Hills is coming to Steam sometime this year. The developers are also considering a console / Nintendo Switch version of the game. I have reached out to the small team to see if they can share any more details on platform and release date!
For more information on the recent development of Rolling Hills, as well as the opportunity to help the game grow, you can see the full devlog on their Patreon page.

Since I last played and reviewed Littlewood here, the sole developer Sean Young has made many improvements to this adorable farming simulation game. I rather enjoyed the pixel style graphics of the game, getting to know all of the villagers and fulfilling the requirements for them to move permanently, as well as shaping my whole town to my liking. The game is available now on Steam Early Access and continues to receive updates, such as this most recent and rather large feature added; Tarott Monster.
Now we can start collecting various Tarott Cards and do battle with certain villagers during big competitions that are annually held in Dirboros! The story behind these cards has to do with the fact that there are real monsters sealed away in them since the Dark Wizard’s defeat. There are 5 duelists to beat with varying elemental cards and they are as follows: Bridgette (Fire), Alister (Earth), Maya (Water), Lucius (Light), and Erika (Dark).
Not only will it be satisfying to collect these spooky, whimsical, and cute little cards but if you can manage to defeat The Big Five, you’ll receive some never-before-seen items such as badges, furniture like lamps and tables, as well as cool-looking statues to put on display! Meet your challengers at the new Card Shop and see if you have what it takes to win! Also, how fun is it to have a game inside of a game?!
This update is now live and Sean Young has Tweeted that his next focus for the game is to implement “Littlewood’s Pet System”. Below you can see an image of a cat and a dog which I am all too excited to learn more about! Don’t forget that Littlewood has also been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch so there’s a lot more coming our way.

The latest Nintendo Direct was set to feature game releases in 2019, yet Nintendo didn’t shy away to surprise fans with some more information about the Animal Crossing New Horizons Multiplayer mode and more.
In the nearly 5 minutes of new gameplay we received, we learned that Animal Crossing New Horizons Multiplayer mode will allow 8 players to come together online hang out in a town and enjoy many activities together. Planting trees, fishing, exploring and more are all part of the fun. The big N also promised that only a little bit of the games feature have been revealed and that we can look forward to many other surprises and game features we didn’t know would make it into the game.
If you want to play with your friends and share a single console you can do that as well! If you own a Nintendo Switch and a single copy of Animal Crossing New Horizons you will be able to play with up to 4 friends using only one console and one copy of the game. However, you may need an extra pair of Joy-Cons. Nintendo also did not clarify if the game will support split screen, or if all players have to stay close together with player 1 – the owner of the town – leading the way.
In New Horizons local multiplayer mode, players will be able to provide a home to friends for the very first time. While it was possible do so in New Leaf, it was restricted to only one player at any given time. This time around players can play at the same time, on the same system and both have their own home placed on the same island.
Animal Crossing New Horizons is betting big on multiplayer, something that has made New Leaf so enjoyable for many years after its release. Trading with players from all over the world and exploring other towns breaths news life into the game even 7 years after its initial release.
We are truly excited to be sharing our island and goodies with players from around the world. Animal Crossing New Horizons will be coming to Nintendo Switch on March 20, 2020.
If you are looking for other Animal Crossing like games, we recommend you take a look at Hokko Life a farming and village simulation game that takes place inside a cute town filled with even cuter animals.
If you haven’t already, or simply want to indulge in it again, you can watch the entire Animal Crossing New Horizons Gameplay footage from the latest Nintendo Direct right here.

Animal Crossing New Horizons was finally revealed at this years E3 and fans have finally started to digest the disappointment of the delayed release. To shorten the wait a little bit, popular youtube channel BitBlock has put together an amazing video showcasing every single new item in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Every mainline Animal Crossing game introduces a bunch of new items, furnitures and more. New Horizons is no exception, with dozens of new items already found in the reveal trailer and extra gameplay footage from Nintendo Treehouse, we can only imagine what else the big N has in store for us. We’re not even halfway through the year and the games keep on coming! There have been quite a few announcements from us of indie projects in the making or with set release dates that you may have forgotten. We at myPotatoGames have compiled a list of our favorite games and most recent news with their dates and platforms so you can mark them on your calendars!
If you haven’t the time to play all of these wonderful titles, we’ve narrowed them done by categories so you can decide what you like the most in your games. Most games will fit in multiple categories but we’ve let you know where the main focus seems to lie.
We wanted to emphasize that there will be games where you can either be a cat or pet and play with cats. Most games below are about farming and exploring but cats will always get a special mention from us!
Many games are either being remade/remastered or simply being ported to the Nintendo Switch which is definitely still exciting. Rune Factory 4 Special for example was originally on the Nintendo 3DS and will be getting the new addition of the Newlywed Mode. Click on the links in the titles for more.
The Legend of Zelda may not be getting a new core game anytime soon but there are still great things in store with the series! Link’s Awakening, a remaster from the original Game Boy game, looks quite charming, and the Cadence of Hyrule spin-off is an interesting choice for a mash-up. Tunic, has a cute lovable fox that looks like Link and was heavily inspired by the series.
If your favorite part about farming games are raising the animals or you like to be able to capture or befriend monsters/creatures, then these games are for you! In Ooblets, you get to actually “grow” said creatures in your garden.
What makes an Animal Crossing game so great is all of its features combined with customization, decorating, and performing daily activities. However, what really stands out is its socializing aspect. In these games you will be able to interact with all of the townsfolk and make new friends!
You might enjoy being able to build or create objects with items you have found by foraging and traversing wondrous landscapes. If so, check out the games below.
These games offer many things to do on your farmstead with crops and animals to care for. These are games similar to the ones we all love; Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons. However, Atomicrops has added the use of guns and fighting off mutants in your gardens so click below for details.
Platform games have a lot of precisely-timed jumps and puzzles to solve to progress further in the levels. From Etherborn’s anti-gravity mechanic, to Super Mario Maker 2’s ability to create your own courses, these games all offer more than your average games in the genre.
It’s a little harder to describe these games as they have combined elements and genres together to form quite a unique gaming experience. Untitled Goose Game is one such game where you play as an annoying goose, and sneak up and play mean tricks on villagers.
Hopefully you have found this guide helpful and don’t forget to click on the links provided for more information on every game. Stay tuned as we announce more new and exciting games coming our way!
Getting a great deal on games is always a good thing. And if there is one thing that we can expect when another holiday rolls around, it will mean more sales from all of our favorite retailers.
This year, Nintendo’s Valentines Day sale happens to bring down the cost on some cute games that I am quite fond of. First, there are few great LEGO games currently on sale, like LEGO Worlds now for only $11.99.
Possibly the greatest deal for this sale, though, would be the complete LEGO Harry Potter Collection for only $19.99. That is a lot of magical goodness for a great deal. Not to mention how LEGO tends to make every game/movie franchise just that much more silly.
There are a few other cute titles available on sale, but the overall list is a bit unimpressive. However, I am always keeping an eye out for other great sales. Especially since Nintendo never seems to keen on lowering the prices of their games.
Visit the official Nintendo Website to see the full list of games on sale!
