The developers of Kitaria Fables have released an all new trailer for their game!
For those that may have missed it, Kitaria Fables is an absolutely stunning life sim/faming/RPG game with tons of features and content! This is one wonderful indie that I have personally been keeping a close eye on. And with the success of their recent Kickstarter, I can say for sure that is going to be on game that should be in everyones games library.
In this farming RPG, you jump into the role of a kitten that may appear absolutely adorable, but packs a bunch of powers that are needed to fulfill the many requests villagers may ask you to help them with; and who doesn’t love helping villagers?!
You find yourself in a village where you can also own your very own home. Whenever you hang out at your house you can customize the look and feel of your cat-tastic character. But the fun awaits when you leave your four walls. Villagers of all kinds are populating the cozy village around you.
Now, the developers have released an all new gameplay trailer for Kitaria Fables to give players a closer look at how all the mechanics of the game will function. The developers also announced that the game would be releasing on on September 2nd, instead of September 3rd.

Pioneers of Olive Town got another DLC added to the expansion pass today.
Since release, fans of the series have been loving Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. From fishing and farming, to chatting and relationships, this is one title with everything we have come to love from the farming and life sim genre. Of course, what else is to be expected from one of the greatest farming sim franchises ever.
For those that may not have been paying attention, since release the game has also gotten quite a bit of DLC, adding all sorts of things ranging from new NPC’s to character outfits and in-game items. With this new DLC comes even more great costumes for you and the ten marriageable characters in the game.
The DLC will also include the “Legendary Sprite Dance” quest line. It is up to you to help the lesser sprites complete their sprite dance, without the knowledge of the Boss Sprite. An absolutely adorable endeavor that I can’t wait to try.

Here are some of the best games currently on sale for Nintendo Switch.
If you are like me, you are always on the lookout for great deals on games. It never hurts to save a few dollars while expanding on your gaming library. Luckily, Nintendo is pretty good at making sure there are always at least a few choice games available at discounted prices. Currently, there are a few wonderful gems that you can get your hands on without paying full price, and all are available through Nintendo’s website.
Harvest Moon One World
For those that may have not been paying super close attention, Harvest Moon: One World follows the success of Harvest Moon Light of Hope. In One World the player will be able to discover friendly, already known and new faces in the local town. However, this time around you can travel outside of your village and discover new places and people from all around the world. Harvest Moon One World is currently available for $39.99. More info.
Overcooked 2
For those not familiar with the franchise, Overcooked is a fast paced cooking party game that can get pretty darn hectic. The goal of the game is to make and serve as many good dishes as you can within the time limit, while avoiding increasingly ridiculous obstacles. The game is hailed as a wonderful family game, and a great time to be had by all ages. Overcooked 2 is currently available for $12.49. More info.
Crash Bandicoot Series
All of the games from the crash series that have either been made for or ported to Switch are currently on sale as well. There are two different bundles available, but both include all the games. The only difference that I can see in the bundles is that one comes with CTR, and the other does not. The Quadrilogy Bundle (4 games total) is now $41.99, and the Crashiversary Bundle (5 games total) is $59.99. More info.
Castaway Paradise
Castaway Paradise is inspired by Animal Crossing but released its island adventure many years before New Horizons was even announced. In Castaway Paradise you begin the journey on your very own tropical island. This is your land, your adventure! Do whatever you like, whenever you like! Which happens to entail many of the great features that we have come to expect from in-depth life sims like this one. Castaway Paradise is currently available for $11.99. More info.
Balan Wonderworld
Follow the journeys of two young adventurers as they try to solve the puzzles and uncover the mysteries of many different worlds in Balan Wonderworld. From the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog comes an all new 3D action platformer that is just so cute and colorful, it surely has a place in any gamers library. Balan Wonderworld is currently marked down from $39.99 to $19.99. More info.
Overcooked All You Can Eat
That’s right! An all new Overcooked! experience is ready to play on the recently released next-gen consoles. All You Can Eat is a combination of the first two Overcooked games, but with all DLC included, a 4K visual upgrade, and all sorts of other new goodies (levels, chefs, recipes) to make this the best Overcooked experience yet. The adorable farming and life sim game Hokko Life now has a farming feature.
For those that may have missed it, Hokko Life has been described as an Animal Crossing game for PC. However, it is definitely much more than that. For starters, in Hokko Life you can actually create your own furniture and in game items from scratch!
The creation mechanism in the game allows you to create anything that your heart desires, and use it as decor in the game. Some of the items you create will even retain their proper function, like using a chair as a chair.
Hokko Life also has just about everything one could expect from a charming life sim game. You get to explore your community, help out villagers, craft, fish, resource, make friends and generally enjoy life. All of the villagers also happen to be anthropomorphic animals, so there’s that.
The developer recently revealed all the new goodies added to the game. The info was given in the form of Tweet, which also contained a short video showcasing the new additions.
Hokko Life is currently available in Early Access on Steam.

The super cute park management and life sim game Haven Park is releasing soon on Nintendo Switch.
For those that may have missed it, Haven Park is a smallish life sim game that takes place in a gorgeous and flourishing natural park. You take on the role of an adorable little avian named Flint. Flint and his family have been living in and taking care of the national park of generations. It is now time for Flint to take the reigns, and be everything the forrest needs him to be.
This relaxing title is poised to fit right into my library of other relaxing life sim games. Haven Park will release on Steam, itch.io, and Nintendo Switch on August 5th, 2020. The developer mentions that the games takes much inspiration from other wonderful life sims, like A Short Hike and (of course) Animal Crossing.
The developer also mentioned that the game is now being published by Mooneye Studios, the same team behind the wonderful exploration game The Lost Ember. This was revealed through an announcement on Twitter, where the developer stays active and on top of updating fans with the games progress.
Haven Park will release for Nintendo Switch on August 5th, 2020 and will cost $8.99.

Miitopia can be much more of an enthralling experience than most people realize.
For those that my still be on the fence about whether or not to get Miitopia, the new trailer from Nintendo may just help you make up your mind. The new promotional video displays the games more Sim-like aspects, and how every player can add as much, or as little, depth to the gameplay as they would like.
For those that my have missed it, Miitopia is a wonderful adventure game that was made to be shared with friends and family. You create your character with the vast array of customization options, then choose the role you would have them play, and now you are ready to take on the evil Dark Lord with the assist of your loved ones.
The new trailer for Miitopia gives much more detail about the “roles” aspect of the game. The video shows the differences in the roles, and how they come into play throughout the game.
As with most games that enable character roles, it is important to choose the role that is most suited to your normal play style wench approaching RPG’s. Doing this will ensure that all players are having fun in the game, and are able to best help the team with their own personal attributes.

The charmingly cat-tactic farming and life sim game Snacko will now have building!
For those that have not been following this one, Snacko is an absolutely adorable farming and life sim game where you play as a cat, and it is coming to Switch. Snacko has everything one would expect from a wonderful farming and life sim game; like farming, fishing, crafting, decorating, exploring and now even building.
The developers revealed this new feature in the same place they usually tend to their loyal and loving flock, via Twitter. The devs shared a tweet that gives fans a very close look at how the building menu works, and even a sneak peak at a fence type that I would imagine will be in game.
Also announced recently is the teams newsletter that fans may now sign up for! So if you would like all the juicy news for Snacko as it is happening, sign up now! Currently, Snacko is slated for a Switch release sometime in 2022. Snacko will also be released on PC via Steam.

Pioneers of Olive Town just keeps on getting better and better.
Story of Seasons Pioneers of Olive Town is celebrating great commercial success but was unfortunately not released without any bugs or little things that just don’t make the game flow as smooth as fans were hoping for.
Shortly after the initial release of the game Marvelous promised to improve the game and released updates to make it the Story of Seasons game fans of the franchise have been waiting for so long.
After multiple DLC releases and updates Marvelous announced yet another update improving the game further. The next patch will enhance many aspects of the game, for example it will now be easier to see who exactly is running a certain festival – no more endlessly looking for the host!
Story of Seasons Pioneers of Olive Town Update 1.0.6
- Makes it easier to see who is running the event at festivals
- Adds an event for when the player participates in the Egg Festival by themself
- Add the ability to change your child/your animals’ names
The option to change your child/your animals’ names has been added to available blessings at the shrine - Improves visuals when completing town requests
- Improves visuals when upgrading tools
- Improves character behavior when talking to villagers who are eating, fishing, etc.
- Implements a new message when returning home at 2AM
- Fixes an issue where the game could freeze after the child adoption event when several events occur in succession
- Fixes an issue where the load screen could freeze when leaving a coop
- Fixes an issue where the game could freeze during the Mushroom Hunt when picking up a mushroom after changing the camera distance in a certain area
- Fixes an issue where the game could freeze when the player interacts with an animal immediately before it returns to its coop or barn
- Fixes an issue where the game could freeze when starting the game with no controller connected
- Fixes an issue where pressing the A button repeatedly while moving in front of an unrepaired farm facility could cause actions that use the A button, such as picking up items, to not work
- Other minor bug fixes
