The adorable and kooky survival game The Survivalists just got a new huge content update.
From the first moment I booted it up, I knew I was in for a treat. The Survivalists is the perfect survival game for anyone who is into the whole laid back genre.
The flow of the game is actually kinda relaxing, and the survival aspects aren’t too taxing. Not to mention that your primary assistant in the game can be a real life friend of yours, or a slew of monkeys that you have trained to do your bidding.
The Survivalists is the perfect survival game for everyone. My only gripe at launch was that the game seemed to be a bit lacking in content. Aside from focusing on endgame and hanging out with monkeys, there wasn’t much to do.
Since then, the developers have been working very hard to add more and more all the time. From farming to a difficulty increase on monkey catching (it was super simple), the developers have added much by way of content.
In the latest update, the developers are bringing a whole ton of new features and content, including new trinkets with the ability to equip up to four now. Not only that, there are four new NPC’s spread throughout the open world to offer quests for great loot. This is just a bit of what is in the update, so if you haven’t tried it yet, now is the perfect time. Check out the trailer below for more details.

Here are some of the newer games to Nintendo Switch that maybe you’d like to give a try!
There is no doubt that we are all always looking for the next best thing when it comes to expanding our games library. There are so many wonderful gems out there, it can sometime be difficult to keep up. Especially in recent times, its not always easy to stay tuned with all the great games being released, so I put together a list of the best new Switch games that everyone should try!
Miitopia
Miitopia is set to be a comedy filled adventure game that stars you and your family and friends. You can create your Mii to look exactly like you, or with the amazing customization options, just about anything in the world that strikes your fancy. Once you have a player that truly speaks to your character, you are ready to help your loved ones on a grand journey to find the mad, face-stealing antagonist, the Dark Lord.
Spirit – Lucky’s Big Adventure
In Spirit, you will play as Lucky, a courageous little girl that loves riding horses and exploring the world around her. With help of two brave and rambunctious friends, it will be up to you to find all the treasures in Lucky’s treasure map. And, of course, all of your exploring will be done on horseback.
Alba: A Wildlife Adventure
For those that may have missed this super charming little indie, Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is a game about exploring and enjoying the natural world around you. You take on the role of rambunctious youngster with the wholesome goal of documenting and protecting the environment. Alba is a brave young activists with aspirations of the highest order.
Very Very Valet
For some reason or another, the worlds greatest problem (one we all new was coming) at the moment is parking spaces. The world of the Valet has become a hostile one, and it’s a driver eat driver world out there. You will play the role of a puppet (with some “Fosters Home” vibes) Valet who must master the art of parking cars, and out maneuver up to three other players in a couch co-op battle.
Horse Club Adventures
The title of the game pretty much tells it all. You play as an adventurous young lady who, with the help of some friends, must run and care for their very own Horse Club. This ranges in duties for general horse care like feeding and bathing (and even hoof cleaning), all the way down to exploring a vast open world, and maybe even a little racing.
The Colonists
The Colonists is a nice, chill settlement building game with loads of charm. You control a fleet of cute little robots that are tasked with creating a new community on an unknown planet. Harvest resources, refine them, then use them to build a bustling city full of life and love. It is touted as being a relaxing game that takes much inspiration for games like The Settlers, so expect many detailed settlement-building features from this adorable indie.
New Pokemon Snap
The original Pokemon Snap was released for the Nintendo 64 back in 1999. Some of you may be too young to remember, but it was a huge hit and a major success in the Pokemon series. Certainly a unique game within the franchise, it is a first person “shooter” where the player adventures through unknown lands taking pictures of Pokemon in their natural habitats. The primary goal being to fill up Photodex with as many Pokemon as possible.
Spongebob: Crusty Cook-Off
SpongeBob: Krusty Cook Off Extra Krusty Edition goes beyond the traditional cooking game formula. In this title you will not only be the chef in a fast paced restaurant kitchen but you can also decorate and enhance the restaurant of SpongeBob SquarePants.In addition you are also free to explore Bikini Bottom, the home town of our lovable sponge friend. New restaurants will be added frequently and there are many areas for you to explore.
Potion Party
In Potion Party, you are tasked with running an Alchemy Shop. You will need to gather materials to craft potions that you may then sell. The more money you make, the more things you will be able to buy to upgrade your shop, resulting in a higher customer base. You will also unlock characters with different abilities that can help your shop grow even faster.

The new update for Cozy Grove brings lots of quality of life changes that really smooth things out.
For all you Cozy Grove players out there, there is a new update to the game that fixes a lot of little this-n-that’s that players have mentioned need changed. Mostly just bug fixes, but there have also been a few adjustments made to how your player, and NPC’s, interact with the world around them.
For those that have not yet had a chance to try this one out, Cozy Grove has been described as Don’t Starve meets Animal Crossing. It is a life sim game that focuses on helping others, and restoring light and color to the world.
The wonderful hand drawn graphics give the game a real homey feel. And the relaxing pace really helps it carve out its home in the genre. The spooky theme is really what sets it apart from games like Animal Crossing, but you still never really lose that warm/fuzzy feeling.

The super cute adventure indie game Here Comes Niko just got an adorable new trailer!
Here Comes Niko is a light, breezy, and charming platforming and adventuring indie game currently in development. The studio behind this game is called Frog Vibes, which is made up of two team members; Stijn is the creator and music composer, and Lisa is the lead artist.
Together they have come up with a bright and colorful world full of animal islanders (a them that I personally never tire of) that need your help to complete tasks. It is a lighthearted an joyous adventure that I absolutely can’t wait to try.
Since the game intends to have a release date sometime next month, the developers wanted to give gamers a closer look at what makes their game so special. And, of course, you can bet that they have already announced that their adorable game is going to be releasing on Nintendo Switch, but not until a little further down the road.

Eric has just announced that the Stardew Valley Board Game will be seeing a restock in the near future.
For those that may have missed it, not too long ago the creator of Stardew Valley released an official board game based on his smash hit game. The board game has been instantly adsorbed by Stardew fans all over the world, and has been praised for its depth and varied gameplay. The level of features give the Stardew board game a level of replay-ability that is actually reminiscent of the digital version.
In a recent Tweet, Eric announced that the company behind the creation o f the board game itself has been working very hard to ensure that there is a new shipment of games in the works as we speak. The production team sites recent global events as the reason for the hold up, which is more than understandable.
So for all you who missed out on the first run, and who refuse to pay those dirty scalpers a single honest penny, rest easy knowing that a new batch is surely on the way. For more information on the game itself, you can see my coverage here, and also check out the trailer below.

There is now a mod for Stardew Valley that allows you to see your fish before you catch them.
Time to once again boot up the best farming simulator ever for another run through. Only this time, you will actually feel inclined to to spend your days by the water, doing more fishing than ever before.
Nexus Mods has published a new feature (created by user shekurika) for the game that allows you to see all the little fishies before you catch them, greatly reducing the grind that is usually associated with Stardew’s fishing mechanism.
The mod uses the fish tank sprites as a visual representation to show the players what fish are currently catchable in the area. As some fish do not have sprites in the game yet, you can still expect some surprises (that is until those sprites are added to the game).
This new addition could not have come at a better time, as players are still very much enjoying update 1.5, which is still slated for a release on mobile. The new update conveniently brought in the beach biome, which can now be even more fun with this new mod.

Eric has just announced that, while still in the works, update 1.5 is indeed still coming to mobile.
Stardew Valley is growing and expanding its reach every day. Now that it is available on nearly every console, it is about time to get the update on the same level. To that effect, Eric has been working very hard to make sure that the update is properly ported to mobile. In a recent Tweet, Eric mentions that he had to outsource to a new company to get this update where it needs to be, and working correctly.
For anyone who needs a quick reminder, there is quite a bit of new content in update 1.5. The full list of changes and additions is actually quite lengthy, but if you would like to see everything that has changed with 1.5, you can see the devlog here. The page spells out every item and instance of change that came with the 1.5 update for PC, and as there is currently no exact page for the console version, this is as close as we get, for now.
You can be pretty sure, however, that most (if not all) the PC changes will also be for console and mobile (if they apply).

Now is your chance to get he ultimate edition of this adorable and amazing farming and life sim game.
Since being released on Switch and PS4 two years, lovers of the series have been thoroughly enjoying the Complete Special Edition of Harvest Moon Light of Hope. Just last year the developers also brought the game to XBOX and PC, so players also around the world have had their chance to get their hands on this gem. If you still haven’t, Steam currently has the Complete Special Edition at half off!
The Special Edition of the beloved farming franchise comes with features specifically tailored for consoles. The new character Soleil is a welcome addition for anyone who enjoys playing with friends in the Co-Op mode. Soleil will be able to help take care of your farm and is controlled by another player.
Furthermore, the Harvest Moon Light of Hope Special Edition Complete also packs all four DLC that have been released for the game so far. These include Decorations & Tool Upgrade Pack, Divine Marriageable Characters Pack, New Marriageable Characters Pack, and Doc and Melanie’s Special Episodes.
