Witchbrook has been in development for some time now. The game created by Chucklefish, the previous publisher of Stardew Valley, revealed a brand new look for the game today!
For anyone who may not have heard about Witchbrook yet, in this game the player will take on the role of a student inside a magic school, something a Harry Potter fan might be familiar with. During the course of the studies, players will be on a path to discovering who they really are.
The game will take the player on a journey through various activities that all help you work towards a successful school life. Withcbrook offers a lot of side activities next to the very busy study schedule that players will have to master.
Witchbrook is often considered the Stardew Valley of magic this of course came from the fact that the company making Witchbrook used to publish Stardew Valley but the visuals of the game also used to be quite similar as well. Take a look at an older screenshot of Witchbrook – it was still called Spellbound back then.
The game has come a long way from its early development state to today. While there isn’t a release window yet, or any word on what platforms we might get to play the game on, development on Witchbrook is well underway as seen in the evolution of the visuals alone – and I can’t wait to get my hands on this magical game!
The new screenshots as seen below demonstrate a much more colorful look as well as a slight camera change giving the game more of an isometric view similar to the original The Sims game.
Witchbrook has no official release date yet but there are plenty of things we already know about the game. Head over here to find out a lot more about this magic school game!

Cubenary, the developers of Witchery Academy, have just released an all new video showing a little more gameplay for their upcoming magical indie game. The new video gives us a close look some of the activities that we will be able to partake in, like bug catching and planting seeds for our farm.
The new footage comes in the form of a Tweet from the developers. As of yet, this is how they have shared most of the info about their game. The Cubenary’ official site currently only shows information on the developers previous game, Fantasy Little Jobs, a VR game about doing odd jobs in a fantastical world. So it appears that the developers are being especially selective about what they share from their currently-in-development title.
Witchery Academy is a fantasy life role playing game where you must complete tasks in a school for witches and wizards. Learn all the ins and outs of the magical world; like potion making and mastering a wide array of spells.
You will also have to do some garden tending, to make sure your horticulture skills stay sharp. Plant, grow and harvest all sorts of delicious goodies right at school. You will have to leave the building and explore the surrounding area to meet other students, and do a little questing.
Witchery Academy has everything one would want in a cutesy title about learning the ways of magic. The cute and colorful graphics give the game a totally chill feel that I can’t wait to experience for myself.
The new footage of Witchery Academy was shared as part of an indie game promoting Tweet with a specific hashtag on Twitter, #PitchYaGame, where developers can share their work with the loving indie community.

Magic will always be a major focal point in the video game world. Everyone wants magical powers, and playing video games is basically the closest any of us will get. While the Harry Potter franchise seems to have the genre totally covered, every now and then we see a magical game that just instantly pulls our attention and keeps it there. Witchery Academy certainly looks cute enough to grab my attention, and theme is one that I am quite fond of.

In Witchery Academy, you will also have a companion to take care of. The companion is of the feline persuasion, and you will be able to feed, play with, and (of course) pet your special little kitty. Bond closely with your companion, and you never know what great effects that might have on your day to day grind of magical schoolwork.
Not much has been shared by the developers, Cubenary, as the game is still in early development. Given what they have shared so far, I can already tell that Witchery Academia is one adorable, magical indie game to keep an eye.

Stardew Valley has clearly become one of the most popular Farming and Life simulation games since Harvest Moon. Serin Fate takes a fun new spin on the popular genre and even adds some Fantasy Life to it.
In Serin Fate you play as a Witch and therefore you are in possession of some magical powers. As you begin playing the game you will start learning new spells that can help you on your journey.
The small development team behind the game states that inspiration was taken from games such as “Pokemon, Harvest Moon, Runescape, and Chrono Trigger.”
Serin Fate offers a wide variety of tasks that remind me a lot of Fantasy Life that also offers a wide variety of things to do. In this game however, you can freely choose where you’d like to dedicate your focus and time towards to. Feel like crafting some new armor to protect yourself on your next adventure? or maybe instead build some furniture to restore your hut? The choice is always yours.
If you don’t feel like going on an adventure to try out your latest crafted items, you can also choose to sit back, relax and do some gardening work. Much like Harvest Moon, Serin Fate offers a huge variety of tasks that we come to love from games like Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley and even Story of Seasons.
Explore the atmospheric world, collect materials by cutting down some trees or uncover some hidden gems spread throughout the world. Of course you can also cast your fishing rod in hopes to catch some of the many fish out there.
The options are endless which make Serin Fate a wonderful game on its own. It doesn’t try to be another game that already exists but only takes inspiration to create some very unique on its own.
Serin Fate is already available on Steam if you want to get your hands on this game today, you can! And yes, the developers are working towards a Mac and Nintendo Switch release as well.
If you are on the lookout for more games focused on magic powers and witches, checkout Witchbrook the Stardew Valley of magic! Or Little Witch in the Woods an adorable upcoming indie game!
Islands, villagers, and jellies – oh my! Alchemic Cutie wraps them all into one cute package. Developers Vakio and Viridian Software along with slime-loving publisher CIRCLE Entertainment are behind this new wholesome adventure RPG and it is now coming to Nintendo Switch.
The game is set on Wimba Island, a bright pixel world that reminds me a little bit of Littlewood or even Stardew Valley’s Pelican Town. The game features an open world to explore with beautiful areas such as beaches, forests, the main village, and a Jelly Shrine!
In Achelmy Cutie you will be taming slime-like creatures called “jellies.” There are over 4,000 visual styles for jellies and each jelly will have unique traits and statistics.
They also have needs like hunger, energy, and happiness. You can show off your jellies by entering them into different competitions, how adorable is that?
You can even meet Wimba’s villagers to form new friendships or rivalries, whatever your preference is. The town is filled with unique characters to meet and engaged with.
One exciting and unique feature is the world map to help you navigate, the map expands as new locations are discovered. What makes this feature unique to similar games is that, once a place has been visited, you can use the map to fast travel there.
No more running back and worth and loosing valuable time to get your daily tasks done!
Alchemic Cutie is coming to Steam and itch.io sometime this year as well as PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One! In celebration of PAX East a brand new trailer has been revealed. Check out the adorable game trailer below!
