Moving Out is developed by SMG Studio in collaboration with Devm Games but now they have announced today that they are partnering with Team17 as their publisher! Team17 has published amazing games such as Overcooked, Automachef, Yooka-Laylee, and more, so we’re very excited that they’ll be helping out this hilarious cooperative action and simulation game! Moving Out is now coming out sometime in 2020 on PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam), Xbox One. If you’re going to PAX West this weekend, you can even try the game for yourself at Team17’s booth on the show floor! The luckiest among you can receive these wild free plushies.
Below we have a new trailer in the form of a training video to becoming a F.A.R.T. and we are so here for it. Looks like we can customize the heads of our characters (i.e. a lizard’s and flower-pot head). Also new in the trailer is the rounding up of farm animals, because farmers can move out too. Expertly move furniture with friends, get creative, and enjoy the beautiful frustration of this physics-based game! Moving in this game also seems to be quite the dangerous affair with the running through traffic and being chased by ghosts so we’re in for a good time.

With PAX West 2019 starting tomorrow, August 30th, 2019 in Seattle, we’ve been keeping an eye on the Indie MEGABOOTH. Maybe we were just hungry at the time but we happened to find a few indie games releasing sometime next year that look absolutely adorable and mouth-watering. If you’re attending this large gaming convention, you can find Cake Bash at booth 37 and Boomerang Fu will be featured among 9 other indie games at PAX 10 Showcase. Besides being able to see gameplay footage from these tasty games, you will have access to other treats such as pins. We’ve WHIPPED up a list of games you’ll certainly KNEAD to save your DOUGH for.
Boomerang Fu
Boomerang Fu is a frantic physics fighting game. Choose from an adorable cast of food characters and slice up your friends with boomerangs and a ridiculous range of stackable powerups. Each match of Boomerang Fu can be a finely-balanced ballet of blades or a comedy of errors. Simple controls let newcomers grill, chill and tenderise their opponents within seconds, while advanced players will uncover the hidden depths of this lost martial art by learning to deflect attacks and curve boomerangs around corners. And everyone can use the environment against their foes, setting off traps, hiding in bushes, or pushing one another into treacherous koi ponds. Cake Bash
Fight to be the tastiest cake! A party game for up to four players with very unique hazards – bash your friends, dash away from danger and have a delicious time! Cake Bash is a manic party game where the goal is to make yourself as irresistible as possible. Cover yourself in chocolate, jelly beans and all manner of sugar-studded goodies to become the tastiest cake, but watch out – your rivals will do anything to stop you, whether it’s by clouting you with a spork, knocking you into pigeon poop, or covering you in all manner of gunk! The game is developed by High Tea Frog and published by Coatsink, the publishers behind the adorable game PHOGS! Cake Bash is baking until early 2020 for consoles and PC. Cranked Up
In this platforming game, an evil Hawaiian pizza rules the world. He has kidnapped your favorite cup of coffee and threatens to cover all the food with pineapple. Your mission will be to save the cup (and the world at the same time). Discover a quirky universe, with colorful characters and a script written by a 6 year old child. A clever rocket system allows you to move, but despite its simplicity it remains challenging. You have to activate the right rocket at the right time, otherwise you risk going back in the wrong way. Once mastered you can then go from roof to roof, jump chasms and create your own way to the coveted coffee. Cranked Up is developed by BBlack Studio and is releasing sometime in 2020 on Steam Early Access here.

One of the greatest multiplayer cooking simulation games, Overcooked 2, probably needs no introduction. The developers Ghost Town Games and the publishers at Team17 have revealed the 3rd and final DLC of their Season Pass. Each DLC can be purchased separately but the DLC so far included in The Season Pass are priced at £14.99/€16.99/$19.99 and include Night of the Hangry Horde and Campfire Cook Off. Now that pack also includes Carnival of Chaos which will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One on September 12th, 2019!
As per usual, this DLC will include new chefs, new kitchens, and new recipes! This time the theme is that of a literal and figurative circus which includes carnival foods such as hot-dogs, doughnuts, and maybe popcorn. In the reveal trailer we see a strong-man and jugglers, as well as one of the players blasting out of a cannon! This game will probably have us all breathing fire! Get it, fire-eaters? We here at myPotatoGames are also loving the adorable pupper Kevin in the corner hanging out with a balloon animal.

Boundless is a subscription-free MMO maintained by optional in-app purchases. Hunt, trade, craft, build an empire with friends and become Boundless. This action/adventure RPG developed by indie studio Wonderstruck and published by Square Enix released on Steam and PS4 (PSN) back in 2018. Now there’s been a large and significant update since July 16th, 2019 so you can get back into the game online and enjoy the Harvest Era! Our bread and butter just so happens to be farming here at myPotatoGames so we highlighted that new addition below!
Farming
The developers stress that Boundless has very unique farming a variety of different angles. Even the crops themselves should be pretty interesting. For example, some of the things you’ll be able to cultivate include;
- Organic crops, including the classic Earthyams and Starberries, but also a set of new items. Some of these will grow from the ground, but others will grow from hanging vines, so think vertically when planning your farm!
- Inorganic fuel crops. Combustion Fraction and Kindling Mass can be cultivated in underground setups, grown away from the sunlight of the surface. These subterranean farms will need to be planned very differently from overground farms.
- Goo – when searching Gem or Lucent Exoworlds, players will be able to gather Kernels from Goo. These are then planted in, and will grow down from, a cave roof. Goo Pigments are harvested from these, If they have been planted in Gleam they’ll even take on its colour. These are then used in Colour Sprays – a whole other system which we’ll discuss in a moment…
Use the new farming tools such as The Hand Tiller to prepare the soil for crops, and the two new Fertilizers which will help increase the yield of said crops. There are many modifiers in place which will affect the success and productivity of a farm, such as soil type, nearby vegetation, and proximity to water. The right combination of each of these will allow crops to grow faster and more abundantly, so green-fingered Citizens will have plenty of room for experimentation. There are also new Skills to build in farming, allowing characters to become specialists in this area of the game. Irrigation is one of those important factors, whether that be with water for above ground crops, or lava for some of the more exotic offerings.

Nintendo announced during their Nintendo Direct at E3 2019 that Luigi’s Mansion 3 is coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime this year. Today they’ve specified the perfect release date for our spooky ghost-catching game; October 31st, 2019. Luigi receives a dream vacation package with Mario and friends to a luxurious hotel. Once there however, King Boo reveals everything had been a ploy and now everyone is captured! Each floor of the hotel is its own unique level but this time, you don’t have to do it alone!
If you’ve read our last article on Luigi’s Mansion 3, then you know all about Gooigi. If not, a local friend can play as a green blob version of Luigi and have their own unique abilities to solve puzzles and access specific areas. For example, Gooigi can slip through metal fences and walk through spikes. As Luigi, you can unlock 3 new abilities: Slam, Suction Shot, and Burst. Burst being a truly exciting new move as you can damage several ghosts at once when surrounded.
Don’t forget to also check out the details about ScareScraper, the online multiplayer mode which includes voice chat right here! Play with up to 8 players and either catch all of the ghosts or find all of the toads within a limited time. With all of these cooperative features perhaps you’ll want some new joy-cons along with your shiny new game. Both joy-con colors announced will be releasing on October 4th, 2019 for $79.99. The Good Life is a debt repayment daily-life RPG co-developed by SWERY and Yukio Futatsugi, along with their teams at White Owls and G-rounding. Languages will be in both Japanese and English with the possibility of others as subtitles. You can still help fund them on their Kickstarter campaign here as they are very close to their big stretch goal; bringing to game to the Switch. The Good Life will release this Fall 2019 on Xbox One (as well as Xbox Game Pass), PS4, and PC. Look forward to snapping tons of photographs to earn yourself some money, and to discover this strange town’s secret as well as uncovering a mysterious murder!
About the Good Life
Play as Naomi, a journalist from New York who moves to a backwoods British town called Rainy Woods in order to pay off her massive debt. The only way for her to escape from debt hell is to take pictures of happenings in the town and report on them. Of course, ‘the happiest town in the world’ is not your average town…
The inhabitants of the happiest town in the world are some of the most bizarre people you’ll ever come across. You’ll live alongside them as you solve mysteries and experience a hearty helping of craziness. We’re sure that you’ll eventually come to love all the mystery, horror, and good old charm that this town has to offer.
The townspeople are also hiding a big secret…
In the moonlight, all the townspeople suddenly transform… And suddenly, the town is filled with cats and dogs! Once a month, everyone who lives there transforms into either a cat or a dog. Naturally, Naomi and the player will also turn into a cat or a dog. What happens in the town depends entirely on you! How the townspeople behave, how their lives play out, and how the story ends… It’ll all change based on your decisions.
You’ll be able to select whether you want to transform into a cat or a dog at the very beginning. But if you get far enough in the story, you may reach a point where you can freely switch between them…? Turn into a cat and climb up to high places, scratch walls, and steal fish and chips from kitchens… Or turn into a dog and dig holes, follow scents, and swim in rivers and lakes… It only happens once a month, so make sure you enjoy it to your heart’s content!
More Information
Note that the gameplay video above has some crude language dialog and is not geared toward younger children. However, the game is very relaxing and mostly centers on open-world exploration and taking pictures. You can take photos of anyone, anything, anywhere, and even see in-game what’s trending to earn yourself more money. Interact with every object that you see and place them wherever you want to take your own unique photos. Some photos will be requested from villagers to complete quests and push the story forward. You might even have to get crafty as some townsfolk will stop what they are doing if they can see you. Furthermore, upgrade your camera to take better quality pictures!
