It appears that a new Nintendo Switch model with increased battery life is in the works.

It appears that the Nintendo Switch just keeps on getting sweeter and sweeter! We just had the announcement of the release of the Nintendo Switch Lite, and now we are getting yet another new model of the console. This model will be the same design as the original, but will feature quite an extended battery life.

Just how much longer is the new battery life? The original Switch model (HAC-001) has a battery life of 2.5 hours to. 6.5 hours, depending on the game being played. The new Switch model [HAC-001(-01)] has a battery life of approximately 4.5 hours to 9 hours. Obviously, higher tier games will leave you in the former of the two playtimes.

This is not quite the Nintendo Switch Pro that everyone is hoping for, but it sure lays the ground for more awesome upgrades to this wonderful console. While there has been no official reveal of this model quite yet, we will be sure to keep an eye on this and bring more information as it comes.
