Following many rumors The Sims 5 is finally confirmed to be in development featuring the most innovative customization tools of any Sims game so far.
The Sims 5 is currently developed under the code name “Project Rene”. many rumors over the past years have pointed at a new Sims game featuring multiplayer, many new innovative features as well as as cross platform gameplay – that’s right The Sims 5 might be playable on mobile phones as well as console and PC.
EA and Maxis were proud to let us have a look at the very early build of The Sims 5. The developers made very clear that development is at a very early stage and the release of the game may still be year away.
However, the first look at customizing furniture is incredible although it is showing a lot of similarities to Animal Crossing inspired game Hokko Life where you can make your own furniture from the ground up.
Maxis showed how you can customize beds and couches to a detail not seen in previous Sims games. Change the pillow size, color, rotation and more. In addition to being able to let your creativity free roam, you can also invite friends to you join you build your home or even play with with them comparatively together. The Sims with multiplayer is something that had been rumored for a while and many players have been wishing for it for years. For the players who enjoy playing alone this is of course still an option as well.

Create Your Village, Craft Its Story
Once upon a time, the beautiful continent of Cataria was home to an ancient civilization. However, the continent disappeared one day, becoming lost to the world for centuries. After hundreds of years, Cataria has been found, and dozens of adventurers have set off to explore the continent and its ruins. People wish to find a new home and resettle Cataria, and uncover its mysteries along the way
You play as one such person. Choose between two ancestries in Ages of Cataria, humans or elves, find the perfect location for your new village, and craft its origin story. Humans are just that, human, while elves are elegant plant-like creatures. Each has their own set of attributes. Each also has their own unique building style, resource requirements, and lifestyle events. Villagers of Cataria all have their own personalities, skill proficiencies, and wellness levels. It will be up to you to manage their wellness so they stay comfortable and productive.
In Ages of Cataria, you’ll perform jobs around town in the form of mini games to boost your character’s productivity and skill level. From cooking to hunting, each job has its own unique mini game to be played. You’ll also get to experience character-driven quests with your villagers. These will be in the form of interactive visual novels that will help define your villager’s personalities and stories. Some quests are minor, while some are life-changing events. And of course you have stylistic control over your village! You’ll be able to customize your town’s buildings to fit your style.
Coming June 2023
Unfortunately, we’re a long way out from the release of this beautiful and unique game. However, it will be on Steam and Switch. It is currently open for pre-orders on the Cataria website, too.

Photography Game with Cute Animals and Scenic Island Landscapes
Can you even handle this much cuteness? Petit Island is a 3D open-world photography adventure game. You play as Lily, an adorable anthropomorphic cat, following in their “grandpaw’s” footsteps as a great adventurer! Customize Lily with different clothes, bags, and even fur colors and markings.
Explore a beautiful island, fish, find treasure, meet tourists and locals, and take photos! You’ll find lots of scenic areas and wild animals you can snapshot with your camera while making wonderful memories! You can even take photos with the NPCs, whom are just as cute as the ones in Hokko Life.
Wishlist Petit Island on Steam Now
Petit Island is being developed by Xelo Games and published by SOEDESCO (Lemon Cake). It’s in early development but you can Wishlist the game now on Steam here. Petit Island will also be coming to Switch, PS4/5, and Xbox One although there are no set release dates.

Here are some of the best games currently on sale for Nintendo Switch.
If you are like me, you are always on the lookout for great deals on games. It never hurts to save a few dollars while expanding on your gaming library. Luckily, Nintendo is pretty good at making sure there are always at least a few choice games available at discounted prices. Currently, there are a few wonderful gems that you can get your hands on without paying full price, and all are available through Nintendo’s website.
Harvest Moon One World
For those that may have not been paying super close attention, Harvest Moon: One World follows the success of Harvest Moon Light of Hope. In One World the player will be able to discover friendly, already known and new faces in the local town. However, this time around you can travel outside of your village and discover new places and people from all around the world. Harvest Moon One World is currently available for $39.99. More info.
Overcooked 2
For those not familiar with the franchise, Overcooked is a fast paced cooking party game that can get pretty darn hectic. The goal of the game is to make and serve as many good dishes as you can within the time limit, while avoiding increasingly ridiculous obstacles. The game is hailed as a wonderful family game, and a great time to be had by all ages. Overcooked 2 is currently available for $12.49. More info.
Crash Bandicoot Series
All of the games from the crash series that have either been made for or ported to Switch are currently on sale as well. There are two different bundles available, but both include all the games. The only difference that I can see in the bundles is that one comes with CTR, and the other does not. The Quadrilogy Bundle (4 games total) is now $41.99, and the Crashiversary Bundle (5 games total) is $59.99. More info.

Castaway Paradise is inspired by Animal Crossing but released its island adventure many years before New Horizons was even announced. Steam Deck is a Nintendo Switch like console for PC games.
If you are tired of waiting for your favorite indie games to release on Nintendo Switch, then the Steam Deck might be a great solution for you. Some games just never quite make it to Switch and the Steam Deck offers the convenience of the Switch but plays all your Steam games.
On the day Nintendo opens pre-orders for the New Nintendo Switch OLED model, Steam announces the first real competitor to Nintendos hybrid console – the Steam Deck.
Hokko Life, a recently released Animal Crossing like game is a great example. Many fans are hoping for a Switch release to enjoy the game curled up on the couch or even on the go, the Steam Deck provides the same amenities as the Switch but for PC games.
The Steam Deck packs a 7inch screen, two analog sticks, rear buttons and a 7-8h battery life with powerful hardware that allows you to play all aged and modern games. In addition Steam will also release a dock so you can hook up the console to the big screen and enjoy gaming this way too.
Release Date
Steam Deck will relese just in time for this years Holiday Season in December. The console starts at $399 and reservations open Friday July 16th, although some regions can already reserve one today – a $5 deposit is required.

Cozy Grove is an Animal Crossing like game and the latest update brings much requested enhancements to the title.
For anyone who is not yet familiar with Cozy Grove, it is an Animal Crossing inspired game taking place on a remote and haunted island where you meet and eventually help Sprits restore the island. You build your own home, go fishing, tend to your garden and so much more.
Todays update brings much requested enhancments to some parts of the game. Animal Crossing fans have wished and hoped to be able to craft multiple items at once and todays update in Cozy Grove adds exactly that. You are now able to craft any number of items instead of the previous 1 or maximum setting.
In addition you will now be able to increase the storage space in your closet, allowing you to hold even more garments.
The update touches a lot of parts of the game, some crafting items are now more expensive and a total of eight pets can become hungry on the daily now. The free update is now available so make sure you download it on your desired platform via “Software update”.

Cozy Grove is now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop, PlayStation 4, Xbox One as well as on Steam. At $14.99 this is a must play for any fan of relaxing and cute games.

Animal Crossing New Horizons fans have created a petition to ask Nintendo for better and richer content updates.
Animal Crossing New Horizons launched over a year ago and since then we have received multiple content updates some of them featuring new gameplay while others only add minor twists.
If you look at the history of the Animal Crossing franchise and compare it to the newest installment, it is obvious that some beloved features are missing. New Leaf, the previous game on Nintendo 3DS had multiple shops to explore. Leifs Garden shop, where you can get all your garden needs taken care of. Even K.K slider had its own club LOL where you could spend an evening watching him giving a great concert. Brewster another example opened a coffee shop in your town where you could actually work part time and serve hot delicious drinks to your villagers. One of my favorites where the island tours you could actually take a friend with you.
When New Horizon came out many of these things were not included in the game and while there were some leaks and mentions of Brewster making it into the game, we have yet to see such update. This is why many fans of the game consider the game incomplete at launch. Especially when you compare it to New Leaf which launched with all these features and only had one major content update years later after release, Welcome Amiibo that added the Amiibo support to the game.
Gaming has changed
Club LOL, Brewster And Leifs Shop in Animal Crossing New Leaf 3DS It is true that New Horizons is lacking some of the features we all have come to love and expect from previous games in the series. But looking at the gaming industry at a whole, this actually makes sense, from a cooperate standpoint anyway. Gaming is not entirely created only for the gamer anymore, instead it has become a mass product that has to appeal to as many people as possible, even people who don’t consider themselves “gamers”. Releasing content updates across multiple years keeps a game relevant and spreads news across social media channels over and over again even years after its initial release.
As Nintendo releases content updates every month, even if small, New Horizon makes the news on major gaming websites every time, creating more sales, bringing people back into the game and giving them the feeling there is something new to explore. When in reality all this content should have been in the game from the day it launched.
A good example is the ability to swim in the ocean a feature Nintendo held back to be able to make a splash a few months after its initial release adding a much requested feature.
In a way Animal Crossing New Horizons launched “complete” from the eye of Nintendo but fans of the series are certainly missing a lot of neat features that used to be in previous games. Leifs garden shop is now a temporary kiosk in the town plaza. K.K Sliders own club LOL has become a stool in front of the city hall. Brewster? He has not even showed up just yet.
This is why it is so important Nintendo gets competition in the village simulation market. Hokko Life for one is a great example of challenging Nintendo to do better.

Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral town just received a new update to address some minor issues in the game.
Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral town celebrated a huge success with the game becoming an instant hit on Nintendo Switch. With the title only being a remake new features or even a DLC pack are not expected so it comes at no surprise that todays patch only focuses on polishing the game further and getting rid of some small bugs here and there.
Update 1.0.3 addresses the trophy for owning 5 pets. In some cases players reported that the “Solomon’s Ring” achievement would not unlock correctly, this has now been fixed and you should see the trophy being available if you meet the requirements.
Gift specific dialogue changes
More importantly when you share a gift with a character for the first time and the person does not like the gift, the dialogue specific to that situation would not display, this has also been fixed and you will now be informed if the receiver does not like your present.
Marvelous games also fixed other minor text issues in the game such as Elly’s name not being shown correct after the Moo Moo Festival.
