The Sims 5 is confirmed and will bring people together.
The Sims 5 has been confirmed by EA and no other than the director of Studios at Electronic Arts has confirmed some early details about the next generation of the popular life simulation game.
According to Laura Miele The Sims 5 will bring franchise to the next level by adding a prominent social component to the game. In an interview with VentureBeat Laura talked about the future of The Sims “I think that’s one of our biggest opportunities with The Sims is the social connection component that we need to bring to this brand and this franchise. The team is hard at work on the next generation of that experience.”
The Sims 5 has long been rumored to be a cooperative experience where players can either be playing together and/or share their creativity in a marketplace.
EA and Maxis have already tried to bring The Sims Online with its infamous launch of the TSO ( The Sims Online ). It was considered to be ahead of its time and was later on shut down although it started gaining popularity after it was rebranded into EA Land.
The Sims Online came back to life as a fan project and has since then attracted thousands of Sims fans. You can check it out right here.
The Sims 4 was meant to be online
The Sims 4 was intended to be an online game but EA scraped that idea in favor of making it the fourth single player installment in the series. For more information and even some gameplay footage head over here.
