Have you ever watched a post-apocalyptic movie or show and felt a spark of joy at nature slowly reclaiming vast cities? Well, Cloud Gardens might be perfect for you! It’s a chill game where you grow the plants that take over decaying urban dioramas. It’s a charming mix of sandbox toy, gardening sim, dystopian landscape builder, and puzzle game.
Cloud Gardens lets you engage in the freedom of sandbox mode with its lack of goals, or take on the multi-chapter campaign mode to complete tasks. Strike a balance between nature and manufactured by placing different items in the scene. The objects encourage plant growth, but each object needs to be covered in plant life before you can continue.
Once you’ve created beautiful landscapes, you can then download looping videos of them to commemorate your work and share it!

Detective Pikachu had a relatively positive reception when it was released. It was a top-selling 3DS game in the US in March 2018, and was in the top ten 3DS games in June and July. It also landed in the top 12 on the UK’s 3DS chart. Overall, it received fairly average ratings from various critics. However, it did spawn a fun movie, and now a sequel!
Detective Pikachu Returns finds you in Ryme City with the coffee-loving Pikachu and his human partner, Tim Goodman. A jewel theft occurs that sends the detective duo down a mysterious path. It’s up to you to find out why Harry has gone missing and what is causing the Pokemon-related incidents around Ryme City.
Use Detective Pikachu’s ability to speak directly to Pokemon to gather clues and information from the monster companions you encounter. Some of them will even help you out using their special skills, like Growlithe who can track scents. Tim will interact with the humans to gather information, and together, Tim and Pikachu will solve multiple cases across the city in Detective Pikachu Returns!

Trade Tales opens with you winning a small farm lot in a brand new town through a lottery. You’re eager for a fresh start and decide to take this opportunity to prove yourself and build a new life. You’ll embark on an exciting journey in a brand new town rich with culture. Forge new friendships, assist the locals, and even discover your unique talents. Then, take time to explore different skill sets that can earn you money like fishing, farming, foraging, and mining.
But Trade Tales seeks to set itself apart from all the other life sims out there by allowing you to craft your own experience, and it just might achieve that. Along with the usual farming and fishing, you’ll be able to engage in trading, offering services, applying for jobs, or even start your very own business! You can then use your money to upgrade your home or invest in other businesses. Here’s the list of business opportunities you’ll find in the game:
The unique features don’t stop there, though. Trade Tales has set an ambitious goal of setting themselves apart, and they haven’t skimped on the features to do it. There is a smart AI dialogue system that allows you to chat with NPCs as if they’re real people. This allows you to experience captivating conversations that have endless possibilities. You won’t find the same set of recycled lines every time you speak to an NPC.
You’ll even have access to modern tools like smartphones and computers, cameras, and drones. All of which will aid you in your Trade Tales journey. The smartphone comes with useful apps that allow you to communicate, research, shop, navigate, and more. Plus, the mines offer a challenging puzzle experience instead of the mind-numbing repetition of breaking rocks.
Trade Tales will have unpredictable outcomes that add a bit of realism to the game. Business endeavors may not always yield profit, and mismanagement can lead to the closure of your business. You might even lose your entire field of crops to a super typhoon. Fall in love and even have romantic rivals, adopt pets, or even win the lottery. There’s so much to do!
Whatever you choose to do, and however you end up playing, Trade Tales promises a unique gameplay with the ability to lead your own life. Even when you finish the main story, there’s more for you to do and experience!
Coming to PC and Switch
Unfortunately there’s not release date information for this great game. However, it is supposed to come to PC and the Nintendo Switch. Hopefully we’ll see it soon! You can find Trade Tales on Facebook to follow along with their development.

Farm, Learn Magic, Befriend the Town
In Wylde Flowers, you play as Tara as she starts her new life in the town of Fairhaven, located on a small rural island. She may be a city girl turned farmer with little outdoors experience, but she has the can-do attitude needed to help Gramma Wylde take care of the family farm.
Learn how to plant and care for crops, mind animals, and gather materials like mushrooms and wood. You can also learn to fish, craft items, and much more!
Wylde Flowers features a diverse multicultural cast of characters. Get to know each of them through talking, quests, and story moments. Each one has a compelling backstory and even personal mysteries to discover. You may even find romance and love in one of them! Or if you prefer, platonic relationships and friendships are available and equally fruitful.
Rural life isn’t the only new thing for Tara, though. She’s also learning to become a witch! You will learn how to fly your broomstick, craft potions, control the weather and the seasons, and turn into a cat. Join the local coven who will guide you in your lessons.

Wylde Flowers is already available to play on Apple Arcade and is now also available on Nintendo Switch and Steam. There is currently a free demo available on Steam, too.

In this adorable new entry to the franchise, join Doraemon, Noby, and friends on a brand new planet for some more farming fun. Use different gadgets to help you grow and harvest crops, tend to the animals, and much more. Spend your days building and designing your farm or fishing on the beach. Explore the underwater areas to harvest pearls. Even fly above the clouds to discover special farms where you can grow and harvest rare crops.
Perhaps even more exciting about this Doraemon Story of Seasons game is the addition of co-op play. So, play solo, or kick back and relax with a friend as you both design, farm, fish, and explore to your heart’s content!
Doraemon Releases November 2nd
Bandai Namco published a new trailer to announce the upcoming release of the game. You will be able to get Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom starting November 2nd, 2022. It will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Steam.
You can find the previous Doraemon Story of Seasons game on the Nintendo Switch store, Steam, and the Playstation store (where it is on sale for $14.99 until 9/1/2022).

Publisher Team17 and developer Wonderscope just released a new announcement trailer for the release date of Hokko Life! A lot of new features and updates have been added since receiving the feedback of fans and now the game has it all! You can craft, mine, fish, catch bugs, build, gather resources, farm, and befriend the anthropomorphic animal villagers!
The greatest game feature is the extensive item editing and customization options! You get to design and place every single building in town, including homes, from the exterior to the interior. Redecorating is made easy as you can freely move anything anytime anywhere. The same goes for individual items such as furniture! You can modify every separate piece of decor with different shapes, sizes, colours and textures.

Run, Glide, Scale Cliffs to Find Treasure on Draconia
A new spin-off from the DRAGON QUEST franchise, DRAGON QUEST TREASURES, was showcased in more detail in the last Nintendo Direct Mini. The story revolves around siblings Mia and Erik before the events of DRAGON QUEST XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.
Players will meet creatures Porcus and Purrsula, and brought to Draconia, a land with the Seven Dragon Stones and tons of treasure. There, you’ll be able to befriend and recruit monsters! Each of them have unique treasure-hunting abilities to reach new areas and help find items such as statues, artifacts, and other valuables!
It’s confirmed in the new trailer that you’ll be able to alternate between playing as either Erik or Mia. You’ll also be bringing your haul back to your base for appraisal. With the profits you can upgrade and expand your home and level up your Treasure Hunting Level.

Race, Dodge, and Eat Strawberries as Kirby with your Friends
Nintendo has just released a trailer for a short-but-sweet new Kirby game coming very soon. Kirby’s Dream Buffet is a colorful racing obstacle course multiplayer game like Fall Guys but all food/desert-themed. Yum!
What we know so far is 1-4 players can roll around in sets of 4 matches with a final round being “a fruity fight atop a floating platform.” It does not specifically say whether the multiplayer is only online or if it’s local. However, the disclaimer at the bottom of the game listing saying “sold separately” has me thinking it’s the former.
While dodging things like giant ice-cream cones, gaining speed and power-ups, etc, you’ll also have to collect strawberries along the way. Reaching the end of the levels will tally up and reward the tubbiest Kirby and its adorable. The trailer below shows that there are Waddle-Dees in the race but they look like they’re only NPCs and not playable characters.
