Islands, villagers, and jellies – oh my! Alchemic Cutie wraps them all into one cute package. Developers Vakio and Viridian Software along with slime-loving publisher CIRCLE Entertainment are behind this new wholesome adventure RPG and it is now coming to Nintendo Switch.
About Alchemic Cutie
The game is set on Wimba Island, a bright pixel world that reminds me a little bit of Littlewood or even Stardew Valley’s Pelican Town. The game features an open world to explore with beautiful areas such as beaches, forests, the main village, and a Jelly Shrine!
In Achelmy Cutie you will be taming slime-like creatures called “jellies.” There are over 4,000 visual styles for jellies and each jelly will have unique traits and statistics.
They also have needs like hunger, energy, and happiness. You can show off your jellies by entering them into different competitions, how adorable is that?
Befriend the many villagers of Aimba!
You can even meet Wimba’s villagers to form new friendships or rivalries, whatever your preference is. The town is filled with unique characters to meet and engaged with.
The World is yours to explore!
One exciting and unique feature is the world map to help you navigate, the map expands as new locations are discovered. What makes this feature unique to similar games is that, once a place has been visited, you can use the map to fast travel there.
No more running back and worth and loosing valuable time to get your daily tasks done!

Having poured many hours into Stardew Valley myself, I can certainly say that I am always stoked to find a new game that follows the same theme. There is just something so peaceful and rewarding about running your own digital farm; tending crops, feeding and loving the animals, tilling and paving for fine tuning.
While Stardew Valley has certainly the standard when it comes to simple, cute and addictive; there are many games out there that bear some resemblence and certainly deserve their time in the light. So hold on to your straw hat, cuz these are some cute farming games that just might blow you away!
My Time At Portia
My Time Portia is wonderfully charming life sim that is as beautiful as it is relaxing. Since being ported to the Switch, My Time At Portia has gone through some major updates to make it currently one of the best games on the console (personal opinion). For the ones who are not familiar with Doraemon Story of Seasons, it is a crossover game that combines the best out the beloved farming sim Story of Seasons and the more adventure driven Doraemon. There has been a wave of news from around the world showcasing the most adorable Animal Crossing New Horizons Pre-Order Bonuses. However fans in the west were left in the dark until now!
While a leaked shows that Target is going to offer a journal with any Animal Crossing New Horizons purchase, there has not been an official word on how this will be handled. GameStop also mentioned that they will be offering a pre-order bonus with a purchase of the game but have yet to confirm what this gift will be.
Best Buy Animal Crossing New Horizons Pre-Order Bonus
Best Buy came forward today as the first major US retailer to announce an Animal Crossing New Horizons Pre-Order Bonus. If you have yet to place your order, you might want to consider doing so with the giant tech retailer.
The pre-order bonus will include a cute little Tom Nook phone badge. How fitting given that New Horizons will be featuring the all new Nook phone! If you happen to pre-order through Best-Buy, they are also currently offering a $10 in store reward with any ACNH order – Check it out here.

Best Friend Forever is almost here for Nintendo Switch, and is too cute to miss.
For those that missed it, Best Friend Forever is the first dating SIM game where your pet helps you find love. First, you must find the right doggo to help you on your quest for love. Then, you mingle with the local singles until you find your perfect match, again.
The game begins with the acquisition of your very own adorable pupper. You must do your best to help nourish and care for your new bestie, so that they may help you find love. You will need to feed, pet and generally do everything to care for this animal as you would a living one.
The town of Rainbow Bay is full of wonderful people, many of whom happen to be single and friendly. And guess what, the entire town is totally dog friendly. Take your friend everywhere you go, and he/she will help by interacting with you and the people you meet.

Nintendo is offering a great deal on some of the best indie games of 2019 until midnight on the 28th.
As you very well know by now, I find that some of the best games currently available on the Switch are indie titles. From the currently uber-popular Stardew Valley to the soon to be smash hit Little Witch In The Woods, indie games usually have the perfect combination of simple yet cute graphics with a rich and compelling story.
Nintendo is currently offering a sale on some of my favorite indie games for this year. If you follow myPotatoGames closely, you will certainly recognize a few names. Cuphead, Baba is You and even Unravel Two, just to name a few. Check out the list for yourself, there is sure to be something for just about everyone in Nintendo’s indie sale!

Back in October I reported about a Nintendo Live event where you could meet your favorite Animal Crossing characters. Nintendo returns to Jump Fiesta with an adorable Animal Crossing New Horizons booth where you can win unique Animal Crossing Merch and more!
Attending fans will be able to experience Animal Crossing in real life as Tom Nooks new travel agency will guide fans of the series through the Island Getaway package. The tour starts by briefing fans on how to purchases the deserted Island getaway package. Once you begin the tour you are greeted with an introduction video showcasing some of the new Animal Crossing New Horizons feature such as the NookPhone and crafting system.
Animal Crossing New Horizons Pamphlet Reveals New Comic and Mini Screenshots
If you happen to attend the Jump Fiesta event you will also be given an Animal Crossing New Horizons Pamphlet that features some new screenshots – even though they are tiny, they are packed with cuteness and some new characters are now confirmed to be in ACNH in addition to the already confirmed villagers.
Once the tour is completed you can take a photo with your favorite Animal Crossing character in a lovely Animal Crossing New Horizons setting. This tour looks absolutely stunning and everyone who takes it is entitled to play the lottery in hopes to win some adorable Animal Crossing Merch. I am in awe!
