Dragons have been becoming so popular these days and so are their reptilian cousins, the dinosaurs. We here at myPotatoGames have found a couple games you can play right now, as well as one new one in early development that we will be keeping a close eye on. Some dinos may be ferocious but others can also be cute and lovable, and we want to take care of them forever! Well that dream is now a possibility, see how below.
The game is created by indie developer WashBear Studio, based in Canada. It is available on Steam Early Access here and continues to receive regular updates and added features. The most recent additions to Parkasaurus is the Workshop, where you can change dino skins (rainbow-colored woohoo), add new dinosaurs, add buildings and decorations, and the DinoBook, a guide to mini objectives, and a little insight into the Parkasaurus lore. Most importantly, yes those dinos in the trailer were wearing hats. We here at myPotatoGames are especially fond of that cheese hat. This is just the perfect game to play while we wait for Planet Zoo to release in November.
Parkasaurus challenges the player to plan, design, and construct exhibits that maximize both their Dinos happiness and the park guests’ willingness to spend money! Starting with only a dream and an abandoned park the player will discover new technologies, new attractions, and a special bond with all their Dinos. It’s all captured in stunningly beautiful modernized 3D flat design graphics. In Parkasaurus, fortune is a real possibility and money management is an absolute necessity.
This game has officially just received the green-light to move toward the development phase and therefore we have little to no information other than the dinos will be cute and tamable. Right now we have to make do with the occasional Twitter posts such as: “Here’s an important lesson for any dino rancher! Do you have the skills to tame and earn the trust of wild dinos.” You should also check out the adorable GIFs of dinos below and give them all the support they need!
It’s a casual prehistoric-themed farm/social simulation game where you can catch, collect & ride dinos on your ranch. Build dinosaur pens, keep them happy, and upgrade your farmhouse. Each dino will have different decor needs and preferences for their pens. There will also be a range of colors available for the dinos. Each species will have a specific pool of colors that you can find naturally in the wild.
If you can’t wait to play games with dinosaurs in them, then you can actually play Fossil Hunters right now on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PS4! This game was created by indie developer Reptoid Games, based in Canada and you can go to their official website here. Sure this game isn’t really about live adorable dinos but you can assemble their bones, solve puzzles, and explore underground caverns with your friends!
Fossil Hunters is a casual action-adventure game about digging for fossils and building your own dinosaurs. You are an adventuring Fossil Hunter who has traveled to a remote, mysterious dig site to discover the most incredible fossils the world has ever seen! Discover and assemble your own fossil creations and avoid cave-ins, monsters, and traps while you explore exciting underground environments. Find secrets, treasure, and more as you uncover clues to the whereabouts of the fossil hunters who came before you, and endeavor to reach the very bottom of the caves.
Furthermore, if you want to tame more dinosaurs right now, check out our earlier article on PixARK, the cuter version of Ark. Hope you enjoyed that ride!

This year EA Play was moved to Saturday, June 8th, 2019 and Sunday, June 9th, 2019 to the Hollywood Palladium. Players will be able to get their hands on games like Apex Legends, Battlefield V. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, and other great EA Sports games. Today EA just announced the new expansion for The Sims 4 and we here at myPotatoGames are super excited that it’s a tropical themed one. Island Living will be coming to PC and Mac on June 21st, 2019 and on consoles July 16th, 2019.
Vacation or live on an Polynesian-inspired island full of lush greenery, colorful butterflies and flowers, palm trees, coral reefs and tropical fish, and of course the beaches. Now your Sims can enter the open water and go swimming or do some water sports. Watch out for the volcano, befriend adorable dolphins and play with them, and hang out with the friendly locals! You can watch the live-stream here and check out everything we know below about Island Living.
A lot of new items have been added so we can also look the part for this amazing island experience. There’s swimwear, skirts, flower hair adornments, etc. Most importantly, you can create yourself a Sim mermaid! Style your mermaid from head to toe with many fin options, scales, skin colors and more! The creators have also mentioned that these mermaids have mysterious powers and you can become more in touch with the sea.
The furniture and decor has a Polynesian style which the developers sought council on to really get things right. You can decide to live on the hills or the coasts, and you can also decide what style home you want whether it be ‘cabana beach’ or a more high-end modern approach.
Sims can do tons of exploring on this island such as discovering multiple new alcoves. On the beaches you can go suntanning in the sand or on all of the lounge chairs, and you can build sand castles and pick up seashells with your family. There are unique traditions on this island and it is possible to join in on a kava party, festivals, and even barbecues with your neighbors. Unlock new behaviors with everything you choose to do.
If you want to make a difference on the island and this closed ecosystem, and see it change over time, you can choose to be a conservationist! The creators have mentioned that they feel passionate about helping the environment and chose today, World Ocean Day, to make this announcement. There are even elemental spirits that will either be pleased or upset with your efforts. In order to earn Simoleans, you can take on jobs with the hours you choose, such as life guards and diving instructors, or go fishing.
The Sims have entered into a partnership with the amazing cause It Gets Better for this Pride Month. New and inclusive content will be coming to The Sims 4 on June 18th, 2019 and then later on mobile. For example, gender neutral washrooms.
A Stuff Pack will also be releasing very soon that includes Moschino fashion. Dress up in hoodies and more along with a new available career choice! Now you can be a part-time freelance photographer to capture all of these new looks.
Later this year the creators have teased that a new expansion will be coming this Fall 2019, and gave us the title only; Realm of Magic. Stay tuned with us for more information on that!

Raise a family, farm the land, run shops, and explore the world as its inhabitants age around you by heading over to Steam now!
Now that the dust has settled from the Steam Early Access release back in 2018, the developers, PixelCountStudios, have begun taking everyone’s feedback and adding it their own plans. Thus, the Kynseed Roadmap was made. Below we have written up this map for you which covers both the short-term view of updates to come as well as a long-term view of the entire game. As you can see, some updates have already been implemented and completed which adds many more features and content to Kynseed!
Finally, it is important to note that this Roadmap is flexible so as to anticipate things that the developers can’t possibly predict. Each new batch of updates can take an estimated time of 3-4 weeks each and that is subject to change. The developers mention that catching up on bugs, working on behind the scenes engine systems, or addressing critical pieces of recent community feedback will be their priority.

Indie games are more often than not the hidden gems of gaming and Lil Tribals makes no exception. This indie title is all about making friends, building a community and creating your own village.
Lil Tribals is created by a tiny indie studio which consists of three passionate developers, Jesse Toyota, Jenny Luu and Shirley Tong. The indie title follows Bumi and Jamu who were left by themselves after a disaster struck that destroyed the surrounding villages. The two friends then decided to start building a whole new village to welcome all the people affected by the event.
This is where the story starts off and the player will have to create a whole new village for other characters to find a new home. You will need to gather resources and play a new village, that will hopefully become the new sanctuary for many new villagers to be recruited along the way.
The indie game already features many activities such as collecting resources, building, and even painting you very own tribal mask, a feature that reminds us of the clothing creation/painting tool in Animal Crossing: New Leaf – something we can pour hours into!
Lil Tribals is currently in Alpha, which is an early stage in the games development cycle. Many new features will be added going forward, and bugs can still be expected to be part of the game at this point. The developers have already made an early version available which you can start playing for free on PC today. The game also supports (and recommends) the use of a controller. Check out the cutesie gameplay trailer below and make sure to follow the developers on Twitter to stay up to date on Lil Tribals!
After disaster struck the surrounding villages, the tribes were left without homes and searching for shelter. While searching for a new home, Bumi and Jamu discover a deserted campsite. Instead of leaving, they decide to start a new village, welcoming all the villagers without homes. It will take a lot of work, but maybe one day their little village will become something great.
A 3rd person village management game with city building, survival, and social elements. The game is currently in alpha, but provides the player with the core concepts:

Equilinox is a relaxing nature simulation game which allows you to create and nurture your own living ecosystems. To create an ecosystem you place plants and animals into the world, each of which has its own life-cycle, behaviour, and requirements so you need to make sure each species has a decent habitat with sufficient resources. The game was created by Karl Wimble, the solo indie game developer of ThinMatrix. It was released back in 2018 but has had many bug fixes, tweaks, and new features added since, which you can see down below.
Creative Mode, a sandbox mode, was just added to Equilinox today, May 31st, 2019. You now have the freedom to put whatever you want and however much of it you want in your landscape without any restrictions or points needed. You can put things such as 10,000 swarming bees, Super Mario pixel art with mushrooms, millions of multicolored sheep, or a bunch of angry spitting camels. However, all species have to have been previously unlocked in your Normal World. Although. Although, you will have complete control of the day/night cycle (forward, backward, pause) and will be able to get some really nice screenshots in-game. You can take a look at what to expect with Creative Mode in the creator’s YouTube video below as well as a summary.
Flies and carnivorous plants have been added to the game. These plants are able to grab passing flies with their long “tongues” before consuming them.
Meerkats are the first burrowing animals able to dig a network of holes and tunnels in their territory and use them for transport and to hide from predators. They can often be found standing on their back two legs to keep an eye out for danger. Two new plant species were also added for you to unlock. Desert grass provides a new food source for desert biome animals, and the marigolds are pretty flowers which can live in higher altitude woodland areas.
Eagles are now available in Equilinox. These birds live in the mountains but can swoop down to nearby biomes to go hunting for smaller animals. When they catch their prey they carry it back to the nest to feed their young. Furthermore, jellyfish came with the same update as this one. These strange fish will sting any fish that comes too close and can be genetically modified to be harmless or very effective killers. Also, the jungle has one new bush species which blooms spectacularly only once a year.
The most recent addition of species added to Equilinox are dolphins! These aquatic mammals dive in and out of the water when they’re happy.
The developer had mentioned in his latest devlog video that he intends to add pandas to a later update but is already starting to think about moving on to another project entirely. You can catch up all the news you have missed or purchase this game now on Steam here. For other related news, check out our latest article on Planet Zoo and become the very best zookeeper!

Robert Tatnell , developer of Hokko Life, is hard at work and adding new features and designs every day in his studio, Wonderscope, based in Stockholm. If you haven’t already heard of this game, you can get caught up with us here. We here at myPotatoGames are so excited to play this game and wanted to share with you all of the progress that has been made thus far. Therefore, below we’ve given you the recap from the developer himself for 2018 and a look at his latest updates from March 2019.
Below are the updates from March which include: improvements on the tools for customizing furniture, improvements on conversations with the villagers, and new information on shop interiors and inventory, and more.
The developer has been testing different “drawers” that contain all the pieces you can add to your creation; much like in a real-world workshop. Improvements to furniture creation were made by adding a very handy menu system so as to be able to categorize certain paints and materials.
There seems to be many options of material designs to work with and apply to your furniture which include: wood, metal, earthen, cushions, paint, and dyes. You will also be able to point and click anywhere, alternating between placing an object and editing it. As mentioned previously by the developer, you will also be able to scale the size of your own furniture when creating it. Moreover, you can see in the image that certain shapes are provided.
Dialogue options are being reworked to give less of a “randomly generated” feel in favor of a more personalized approach. This ensures there’s more interesting variety in dialogue than there was before by giving you a selection of replies.
If you’re an Animal Crossing fan, then you probably enjoy chatting up the locals every day. Therefore, this new feature is sure to please! The overall dialogue system is still in the works but so far it’s exciting to have the option to choose different text and get different options every now and again. The developer ensures that there will be a little more variety in the player and character conversations. You can also see that it’s possible for you to change and create the outfit the characters are wearing and to take requests for items! One can only hope that they are also given audio of adorable nonsensical gibberish for dialogue.
The interior of the shops will now have all of their inventory laid out and on display. You can walk up to each item and interact with them before buying. The contents of the shops change every day, so you can look forward to checking what’s new as often as possible. Shopkeepers will have set hours and will otherwise have the store locked. You can find them roaming the town or enjoying certain activities when they’re not working. Robert Tatnell also added new animations for mining and fishing which you can read in more detail with the link to his official website here. There, you’ll find all his devlogs which include all the details of his journey from 2018 to present.
