Stardew Valley is still going strong even years after its initial release. Now ConcernedApe has launched the official forums where Stardew Valley fans can come together.

Its been more than 3 years since Stardew Valley first launched and the game has come a long way since then. It released on multiple consoles and even on mobile phones. But there was no official place where fans of the game could be amongst each other and exchange stories, ideas or just hang out. Think of this place as a virtual Pelican town for fans of the game!

You can sing-up for the forums right here and join the conversation with many others.

Erik has Cleary stayed busy over the years since he recently announced that he was working on two more games in addition to continuously releasing free content updates to Stardew Valley itself.

Meet ConcernedApe In Latest Video Feature

A local TV station has released a small feature about ConcernedApe to highlight the amazing work he has done on one of our favorite farming simulation games. Check it out below!

Seablip is a Stardew Valley inspired game about living the pirate live and exploring a vast open world.

Stardew Valley is an extremely popular indie game and created by only one single person, you may know him as ConcernedApe. Jardar is the developer behind Seablip an upcoming indie game that already met its funding goal on Kickstarter today.

Jardar openly says that “It is not a secret that I (Jardar) love Stardew, and I love the mood and feeling it creates. My music is finding a lot of inspiration from Stardew.” He aims to capture the spirit of the beloved farming game for Seablip.

    The Seablip Island

Every pirate needs something to call home, while your ship is most likely the place you will spend most of your time, you can also call the island Seablip your sanctuary – you gotta stash those treasures somewhere!

You start out with just a few inhabitants and as you continue to play the game, you will grow the island and attract more people who want to live on your island. You will be able to build homes, dig for treasure chests and live the best pirate life you can possibly imagine!

    Going on a Journey

Pirate life is all about going to sea and exploring the vast ocean and huge open world. Your ship is your pride and precious, you can upgrade it and make it become the best version of itself.

Add and enhance your ship as you gather resources to make it more powerful and withstand any encounter with other maybe not so friendly pirates.

It is your job as the captain to recruit crew-mates and make sure they are happy and safe. Your crew-mates may slip off the deck when its raining so perhaps keep them safe inside the boat at times.

Choose to be good or Evil

Jardar mentioned that in Stardew Valley players have choices over how they like to approach the game, go with evil and big cooperations like JoJo-Mart or choose to buy from local traders instead.

He tries to capture this feeling by giving choices to the players.

In Seablip you live on an island that in the old days was a powerful and glorious trading center for merchants, but has for a long time ago been abandoned. Now it is only you, your grandma, a grumpy lord/owner of the island, and a small trade outpost from the good guys “Whale Trading Company“.

    Seablip Release and Platforms

If you are excited about giving Seablip a try don’t be shy to check out the Seablip Kickstarter page, there is still time to participate!

Seablip is currently slated for a release on Steam for PC and Mac in early 2021. You can follow Jarad and the progress on Seablip on Twitter!

ConcernedApe or some may know him as Eric is the sole developer behind Stardew Valley. In a recent statement it was made known that he is currently working on two more games.

Eric was the sole developer on Stardew Valley since the game gained so much in popularity he has formed a very small team behind the game so that he could focus on adding new features to our beloved farming sim.

The latest 1.4 update touched nearly every aspect of the game and even added a new end-game mystery. The entire update was made available for free to everyone owning the game already.

A Game set in the Stardew Valley Universe

Eric is currently working on two more games, it is honestly hard to believe that he is still able to grab some snoozes at night. One of the two games is set in the Stardew Valley Universe, though not a farming game at heart.

Yes, I’m actually working on a couple of new projects. One takes place in the world of Stardew Valley, but is not a farming game. The other, I’m not 100% sure about the world yet, but it will tie into Stardew Valley in some way

    Twitter @ConcernedApe

He also mentioned on Twitter that he tries to avoid revealing a lot of details about the games at this point, as he wants to make sure the core gameplay is set before revealing the game.

As humble as he is, he explains that:

I’m not setting out to make the next indie smash hit, I just want to make another game that I enjoy and am happy with. And to share some of my art & ideas with the world. If it becomes popular, I will be happy, but it’s not my focus

    Twitter @ConcernedApe

    Stardew Valley Support Continious

Even though Eric is hard at work making two more games he will continue supporting Stardew Valley with updates and bug fixes in the future. I am beyond excited to see what the two new games entail!

Witchbrook and Little With in the Woods

    Witchbrook

Witchbrook is considered the Stardew Valley of magic published by Chucklefish but not developed by Eric is slated for a release sometime this year.

Little Witch in the Woods is another adorable indie game where you play as a cute Witch!
