Most of us grew up with one or more Mario games at our disposal. Nary a household could be found that didn’t either have Super Mario Bros. or Mario Kart. In one way, shape or form, we’ve all been at the helm of this mustachioed master as he bops endless baddies for our amusement.
So many fond memories of relaxing and hanging out with my small family unit as we traversed the many and varied levels of the Mario universe. From 2D to 3D, Mario has always been there to help us escape from real world problems, into the much more frustrating realm of digital world problems.
Well, Nintendo has put together a super cute little video, the Super Mario Bros. Medley, with accompanying music to take us on a stroll down memory lane. The video displays excerpts from the different mainline Mario games, in chronological order of course.

Over the years, Mario has had more games made with him as the focus than anyone could possibly count. Obviously, some much better than others. Well, Nintendo has been keeping track of exactly which Mario games were the biggest hits with the fans, and have put these games together in an all new nostalgia overloading bundle.

The three games chosen to be remastered for this amazing collection are Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. All absolutely wonderful examples of just how much love and effort was put into this epic platformer series. At the time of writing, this casual gamer has only gotten to enjoy Super Mario 64, as Mario was never a focal point of my gaming repertoire.
That being said, I have no idea how many countless hours I poured into Super Mario 64. Playing and replaying every level to complete the game to 100%, multiple times. No matter how many times you replay that game, it never gets any less fun. And given what I’ve heard about the other two games included in the bundle, I have no doubt that this is one Mario title that will be making its home on my Nintendo Switch.
This game is currently available to pre-order though the official Nintendo website, and costs $59.99. Super Mario 3D All-Stars will release on September 18th, 2020.

Nintendo announced a bunch of Mario related news in celebration of Marios 35th anniversary. Besides the announcement that Animal Crossing New Horizons would get a crossover event, some exciting news for Mario Kart fans has been revealed as well.
Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit for the first time turns karting into an AR ( Augmented Reality ) experience. You will be able to build a race track with inside your own living room, bedroom or anywhere else you like to take your kart.
Once you set up your custom track with the included tiles you can start racing using your Nintendo Switch. The karts used to race are remote controlled from your Nintendo Switch and include a little camera that projects your surroundings back to your Switch screen.
The special AR camera attached to the cars will also accurately place coins and power ups in your surroundings so that you get a full Mario Kart experience but the track will always be your real suroundings.
If you get hit by a turtle, your kart will actually spin and stop just like you come to expect from any frustratingly fun Mario Kart experience.
The game even features local multiplayer for up to 4 players so you can challenge friends and family to race you around the dining table! Take a look at the fast paced trailer below.
Home Circuit is expected to launch as soon as October 16th, 2020 and will even come in two different editions. You can choose between the Mario or the Luigi version for $99.99 each you get a kart, track tiles and of course the game itself.
Animal Crossing has seen previous collaborations with Mario as Pocket Camp received a Mario event and themed furnitures when Mario Run first launched on mobile.
Today Nintendo announced that history would repeat itself with a brand new Mario event coming to New Horizons. Nintendo was shy to announce any more specific details about what players can expect but promised that more information would follow, possibly in the upcoming Animal Crossing New Horizons Direct that will talk more about the Halloween update coming next month!
If the New Horizons crossover event is anything like the one in Pocket Camp we can look forward to a bunch of cool themed items and maybe we can even welcome Mario as a special guest on our islands?
Nintendo recently shared a video about what to expect in September and already teased the Halloween event as well!

Paper Mario: The Origami King has seen much success since release, and has fully lived up to all expectations of fans of the series. However, not too long ago a glitch was discovered in the game that can cause a player to have their saved data erased. Not something you want from a AAA game right at launch.
Well, Nintendo has heard the fans and has already released a new patch that will resolve this issue. Also allowing players that have encountered to issue to progress in the game seamlessly. Nintendo just released version 1.0.1 and is available to download for free for all owners of Paper Mario: The Origami King.
For more information on Paper Mario: The Origami King, you can check out the games official page on Nintendos website, where you can also purchase the game for $59.99, if you do not own it yet.

Mario Kart Tour is Nintendos mobile kart game that was released for both iOS and Android devices. It has (nearly) everything you would want from a mobile version of what is basically the greatest kart racing franchise of all time, Mario Kart. Even online multiplayer was added to the game an update just this past March.
Until now, players have only been able to play the game in portrait mode, which seems like an odd choice considering that it is a racing game after all. Being able to see turns coming up, and what’s around them, really comes into play quite often. Well, all that will be much easier with the update that releases tomorrow, July 21st.
Switching to landscape mode will also give you a new controller layout, which I can only image will be more spacious and make the game much more comfortable to play. Playing in landscape mode also gives the game more of a handheld console feel, rather than just another mobile game (which it is). However, you will still be able to play in portrait mode, if it makes you more comfortable.
For more information on Mario Kart Tour, you can check out the games official page on the Nintendo website. There you will also find links to download on your mobile device of choice.
