Nintendo has released an exciting new trailer for the upcoming game Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.

For those that missed it, Nintendo announced not too long ago that they are bringing a remastered version of Super Mario 3D World to the Nintendo Switch, and with it will come an add-on called Bowser’s Fury. In Bowser’s Fury, players with team up with friends in local or online co-op, alongside Baby Bowser, to defeat a quite-enlarged and overly enraged Bowser.

    Super Mario 3D World

This epic remaster will release solely on the Nintendo Switch on February 12th, exactly on month from today, and will cost $59.99. The trailer below finally gives players an in-depth look at what to expect from the remaster of what is still considered one of the best Mario games of all time.

    Nintendo Blurb

“Pounce and climb through dozens of colorful stages! Mario (and his friends) can use power-ups like the Super Bell, which grants catlike abilities, like climbing and scratching. Work together locally* or online** with up to three other players to reach the goal…and to see who can get a high score.”

    Super Mario 3D World

“The Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury game features the same great co-op gameplay, creative levels and power-ups as the original game, but also so much more. Additional details about what fun things this game has to offer will be revealed soon!

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit released today, and came with an all new launch trailer.

For those of you that live under a rock, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is what happens when you mix a Mario Kart game with real life. You can control an RC car featuring Mario or Luigi, and race them around tracks of your creation, in your own home! It is the Mario Kart game we have all been waiting for, and now it’s here thanks to AR technology.

Mario Kart Live - Home Circuit

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit released today for the Nintendo Switch, and costs $99.99 per racer. Currently, only Mario and Luigi are available, but I could definitely see Nintendo adding more if this game sees the success that it deserves. Availability will depend on the area of live combined with the popularity of the game therein.

Mario Kart Live - Home Circuit

Nintendo has made it quite easy to find an available game using their website retailer finder. There you will find a list of retailers in your area that will carry the item, and it will also tell you whether or not the item is still in stock at that location.

It is looking like Mario Kart Home Circuit will be everything we hoped it could be.

For those of you that grew up with Mario Kart in your household, I am sure that you were just as excited as I was when Nintendo announced that they would be releasing a real life version of Mario Kart, using RC cars. An idea so amazing that it is a wonder that it took them this long to implement.

But just how well can this idea work in practice. From what I imagine, it seems like it would be quite difficult to work out all the bugs of mixing the real world and video games. Outside of augmented reality, physical video games are still a touchy subject, as it requires gamers to have other equipment for a hobby that usually enjoys the freedom of only needing console and controller.

A hybrid we can look forward to.

That being said, with the recently released overview trailer for Mario Kart Home, I can say that this might be one hybrid that we can really look forward to. It appears that the developers have pulled out all the stops, and covered their bases when it comes to making sure that the game isn’t ruined by oversight.

The game appears to run quite smoothly, and has a pretty simple system for setting up tracks, and then racing them. Upon launch, we will only have access to two racers, Mario and Luigi. Assuming that the game does not flop, Nintendo will surely be releasing more racers in the future.

    More info

It looks like the only way we will be able to really see how the game works, is to purchase it when it releases on October 19th, 2020. You can choose between the Mario or the Luigi version for $99.99 each you get a kart, track tiles and, of course, the game itself.

For a limited time, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can play a battle royale version of the classic Mario games.

Part of the big celebration of Mario’s 35th Anniversary, Nintendo announced that there will be yet another new Mario game coming to the Nitenndo Switch. This one, however, will be quite a bit different than Super Mario 3D All-Stars or Super Mario 3D World. Super Mario Bros. 35 puts an all new spin on this classic franchise.

What is Super Mario Bros. 35

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the genre, battle royale usually pits a large amount of players against each other in an all out war to be the last person standing. Initially reserved for the first-person shooter genre, this game mode has been evolving to take on the likes of games such as Tetris, and try out whacky styles like Fall Guys.

    Super. Mario Bros. 35

Much like Tetris 99, Super Mario 35 will have each player playing solo on their own centered screen with the enemies surrounding. The goal of the game is to bop as many baddies as you can to send more trouble to your enemies, while dodging the trouble that they send to you in return. The ultimate goal being to be the last person in the group of 35 to not be taken down.

    More info

This epic installment in the Mario series will only be available until March 31st, 2021, and will become available for Nintendo Switch Online members on October 1st. For more information about the game, check out the official Nintendo website.

Mario has been bringing smiles and frustration to homes all around the world for 35 years now!

Most of us grew up with one or more Mario games at our disposal. Nary a household could be found that didn’t either have Super Mario Bros. or Mario Kart. In one way, shape or form, we’ve all been at the helm of this mustachioed master as he bops endless baddies for our amusement.

In a way, Mario has just as much helped to shape our society as some of the more major events throughout history. At an early age, Mario teaches us that if we just keep trying, and learning from our mistakes, we can overcome just about any obstacle. This lesson has been taught through countless video games spread across every platform that Nintendo has put out (and some it didn’t; i.e. emulators, mobile games and game mods).

    Mario Odyssey review

    The man, the legend.

Over the years, Mario has evolved and found himself the centerpiece of many of medias greatest achievements, including giving John Leguizamo a role in what goes on to be critically hailed as one of the worst movies ever made about a video game.

That being said, I personally thoroughly enjoyed the movie. And, like many of you, have loved just about everything that has had the name Mario ascribed to it through the years. Mario has now even put his own spin on the world of LEGO with a recent collaboration, and will soon be physically racing around in our own homes!!

So I would like to extend a huge thanks to Nintendo for creating such a light hearted and wonderful protagonist, and say a huge…

    HAPPY 35th ANNIVERSARY MARIO!

Celebrate Mario with a deal on games.

For those of you that also love Mario, and wouldn’t mind a couple more Mario games to your Switch library, Walmart is currently offering 33% off of four different Mario games.

    • Super Mario Maker 2
    • Yoshi’s Crafted Wordl
    • Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
    • Mario Tennis Aces

And don’t forget to check out how Nintendo celebrated Mario this year, by releasing a new remaster bundle of three fan favorite Mario Games; Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy.
