I recently posted about the three new seasonal items that players could purchase throughout June. Well whilst browsing through the Nook shopping catalogue (like the shopaholic I am), I noticed that there were two more seasonal items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
The two items cater for players in both the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere. This is yet another example of inclusivity in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it’s great to see. You can read more about this here. 🥰
The items are both available under the seasonal tab of the Nook Shopping section of the NookStop terminal. Alternatively, if you’ve purchased enough items from the Nook Shopping catalogue, you may have unlocked the Nook shopping app on your NookPhone where they can also be bought.
To mark the Summer Solstice, which occurs on the 20th June in the Northern hemisphere, there is now a crown consisting of sunflowers for players to buy. The Summer-Solstice crown costs 1,560 bells to buy, and is available until the 6th July
The Winter Solstice, also occurs on the 20th June, but in the Southern hemisphere instead. To mark the Winter Solstice, players can now buy a Winter-Solstice Sweater. The Winter-Solstice Sweater costs 1,200 bells to buy, and is also available until the 6th July.

The third iteration in the Cook, Serve, Delicious series is almost ready to be released, and will do so on all major platforms at the same time this fall. An exact release date is yet to be announced, but the game is still currently in early access on Steam, and has been accumulating some pretty great reviews thus far.
There is also a huge sale on the franchise currently available through Steam. The first two games are 75% off, while the early access version of Cook, Serve, Delicious 3 is 25% off. The early access version also now comes with the newly added Davidson County DLC, which adds 40 new levels, two new food truck attacks, and new features.
Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3 is set in a war-torn country that is what remains of the United States’ in 2042. But you can still make gorgeous-looking food from all over the world. Noodle bowls, ratatouille, ice cream, grilled-cheese sandwiches, poutine…oh my! The world of traveling cuisine has become quite rough in 2042.
In this version, you will occasionally need to defend your food truck from competitors. If you don’t, you could lose time on the way to the country’s new capital city of Nashville, Tennessee. There you must take part in a cooking contest to prove that you are the best in the world!
For more information on this delicious title, you can follow the developer on Twitter. You can also check out the game on Steam and GOG.

The Sims 4 is still going strong even years after its initial release. Maxis just released another free update adding tons of new features to the game.
The Sims 4 latest and free update adds long requested content such as the old but now new Firefighters NPC. If you accidentally set your kitchen on fire, you don’t need to rush and find a fire extinguisher but instead give your friendly neighborhood firestation a call and they will ( hopefully ) fix your problem within minutes!
Finally! To give your creativity even more freedom a new build mode feature has been added to the game. You can now place windows anywhere you like on a wall. Prior to this update windows would snap onto a grid not allowing you to freely place the window on any height you like! With the latest update there are almost no limitations anymore!
There have always been stairs in The Sims and even elevators to create beautiful designs and make your design ideas come to live. But some areas such as tree houses may call for a ladder or other designs call for something that doesn’t take as much space as stairs or elevators. Ladders are the solution and can be placed and used anywhere to climb up to a second or even third floor!
The latest patch for the game has brought tons of more features including a breakdown of your household bill, new NPCs, M-A-C Cosmetics, changes to the inventory and more! You can read the full patch notes right here!
The update is now available for free to anyone who owns The Sim4 Base game.

Hokko Life is an Animal Crossing inspired indie game that aims to capture the cuteness of the beloved village simulator and even adding a whole new level of customizations.
Hokko Life is desribed as a ‘cosy, creativity filled community sim game’. The game is being developed by Robert Tatnell who runs his own indie game dev company, Wonderscope.
Hokko Life begins with your player stepping off of a train. Having taken over your very own (albeit a little dusty and old) workshop, you are free to craft and create to your heart’s content.
The quiet village which you now call home needs your design expertise. Help create an endearing town for its inhabitants. Armed with paint and tools, you can design, build and decorate new homes for your new furry friends.
Robert has long talked about the level of customizations you can come to expect from Hokko Life. Not only can you change patterns and colors of your favorite furnitures but you will even be able to create some new designs from scratch.
This may sound complicated but in a recent tweet from Robert we got a first look at how to build your own designs. It is as easy as dragging and dropping pieces together to bring your creative vision to live!
Easy creative tools like this are very rare in video games and allow for players to really expand their creativity. It will be exciting to see all the different designs players come up as the game also features a market where you can share or even sell your creations to other players!
Hokko Life also just got mining and other new additions, take a peak at the latest here.
