For those that haven’t gotten to play Doraemon Story of Seasons, now is the perfect time.

I am always on the lookout for great deals on games to add to my library, and share with my friends. Doraemon: Story of Seasons is certainly one of my favorite Nintendo Switch games currently available.

If you are unfamiliar with this game, it is a crossover between the mega popular Story of Seasons games, and the Japanese manga Doraemon. It is a super cute little adventure game with lots of farming and social aspects.

You play as Noby, the main character from the Doraemon series. Explore the town, make friends, and help build the community into a strong, unified and beautiful place to be.

Stardew Valley has clearly become one of the most popular Farming and Life simulation games since Harvest Moon. Serin Fate takes a fun new spin on the popular genre and even adds some Fantasy Life to it.

In Serin Fate you play as a Witch and therefore you are in possession of some magical powers. As you begin playing the game you will start learning new spells that can help you on your journey.

The small development team behind the game states that inspiration was taken from games such as “Pokemon, Harvest Moon, Runescape, and Chrono Trigger.”

    Farm, Craft and Explore!

Serin Fate offers a wide variety of tasks that remind me a lot of Fantasy Life that also offers a wide variety of things to do. In this game however, you can freely choose where you’d like to dedicate your focus and time towards to. Feel like crafting some new armor to protect yourself on your next adventure? or maybe instead build some furniture to restore your hut? The choice is always yours.

    Serin Fate

    Enjoy some zen time

If you don’t feel like going on an adventure to try out your latest crafted items, you can also choose to sit back, relax and do some gardening work. Much like Harvest Moon, Serin Fate offers a huge variety of tasks that we come to love from games like Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley and even Story of Seasons.

Explore the atmospheric world, collect materials by cutting down some trees or uncover some hidden gems spread throughout the world. Of course you can also cast your fishing rod in hopes to catch some of the many fish out there.

The options are endless which make Serin Fate a wonderful game on its own. It doesn’t try to be another game that already exists but only takes inspiration to create some very unique on its own.

Serin Fate is Available in Pre-Alpha Now!

Serin Fate is already available on Steam if you want to get your hands on this game today, you can! And yes, the developers are working towards a Mac and Nintendo Switch release as well.

If you enjoy games like Story of Seasons, Stardew Valley and of course Harvest Moon you are sure to find a new home in Peaceful Days. The game is developed by Nhat Nguyen and is now finally ready to enter early access on Steam.

I have talked about Peaceful Days quite a few times as Nhat kept adding new features to the game, such as the milk delivery job where players will have to pickup milk and deliver the bottles to NPC houses around the town.

Classic Harvest Moon games are the foundation of most of the farming games we enjoy today. Since the original creator of Harvest Moon moved on to create Story of Seasons, many other developers try to capture the magic the original farming games had. Farm Folks is one of the games that succeeded in doing so.

More than 1500 backers pledged over 90.000 AUD to bring this project to life via Kickstarter. The farming simulation / RPG game lets players grow crops raise livestock, build relationship go on journeys and so much more. The game throws you right into an adventure, as it starts out by sailing on a boat gifted to you by our generous brother. The destination is finding your true purpose in life.

The tides turn quickly as the main character of the game will find himself caught up in a vicious storm. The waves, wind and rain turn your beautiful boat into nothing but few pieces of wood, washed ashore the player will have to start a whole new life on the shores of Softshoal island – the main location in the game.

From here on it is up to the player to build a new life. You will start to meet the citizen of the island who will guide and help you through this new adventure. Of course it wouldn’t be a Harvest Moon inspired game if there wasn’t farming, there are more than 60 juice, delicious crops you can grow – water, harvest eat and sell them!

Besides the traditional farming, players will also be able to enjoy, fishing and adventuring. One of the cutest aspects of the game are the adorable animals you can raise and take care of.

Farm Folks is currently available for PC in its early stage. The developers plan to release the game on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch afterwards. Check out the cute gameplay trailer for Farm Folks below!

You can wishlist Farm Folks on Steam right here.

    Farm Folks Features

    • It wouldn’t be much of a farming simulator without farming, would it? Farm Folks features the time-tested farming mechanic in which players can purchase or forage seeds and begin to grow their farm into a bountiful and rewarding resource.
    • it’s our goal to introduce somewhere around 60 juicy crops for our players to rake in that sweet, sweet digital profit. Crops and other grow-ables will be divided into 4 categories – spring, summer, fall, and winter. This means certain crops can only be grown in specific times of the year, read more on farming below.
    • Animals are an important part of any world, giving the land life and personality. Plus, they’re just dang cute! The animals and critters of Farm Folks are a big part of our game, and we want to make sure that the player feels a strong bond with their pets and livestock.
    • Otto, the local fisherman of Port Meridia, would call it a crime if you couldn’t bait your rod and cast it to the blue in a place like this! Fishing is one of the most relaxing activities in Softshoal, and a popular pastime in Port Meridia thanks to the surrounding seas and rivers.
