Melbits World is a cooperative puzzle platformer by Melbot and released for the PS4 as a PlayLink title back in February 2019. Thanks to the developers, I was lucky enough to test Melbits World Pocket the mobile version of the game. This was without the multiplayer feature and not to be confused with the mobile companion app for the PS4 game. I really enjoyed customizing my adorable virtual pixies with accessories and leading them to the end of several challenging levels.

Therefore, when Melbot recently announced that Melbits World is out now on PC (as of December 16th, 2019) and coming to the Nintendo Switch on December 19th, 2019, I got really excited to delve back into this charming world. A world all about “spreading the good vibes across the Internet.” Now due to the collaboration with publisher Plug in Digital, you can get the Melbits World on Steam (controller support only) for a 34% discount until December 23rd, 2019, and the Nintendo Switch version for only $12.59!

In Melbits World there are 4 worlds, each one with 9 levels where you can dodge evil viruses, collect seeds, rotate platforms, and utilize springs. It’s a family-friendly game you can play with up to 4 players and collaborate and communicate with each other! Pile Up is a cooperative 3D platformer for 1 to 4 players where you play as adorable customizable boxes (Boxlings) and navigate colorful cardboard worlds! Now the developers, Seed by Seed, have made a wonderful announcement that they will be pairing up with publishers HandyGames (El Hijo) and be able to make Pile Up the best it can be!

Not only will you be able to Wishlist this game on Steam, but now it will also be coming to all consoles! Sometime in 2020 you’ll be able to play Pile Up on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and PC! I’m personally very excited by this news and can’t wait to play!

What we know so far is that there’s a hub world leading to several themed levels that have adorable boxy animals and puzzles to solve by coordinating with friends and using fun items. The developers have even added mini-games you can play together such as the action-packed Boxball, Pile of Dunk and Tic Pile Toe! This 3D cooperative (1-4 players) physics-based puzzler is about using your adorably tiny hands to connect with your friends and create new shapes. When playing it in single-player mode, you can swap between pieces. Grabimals, developed by SAD & SON, will be releasing sometime in 2020 for PC and Nintendo Switch.

As you can see from the images below, there are 6 different puzzle types you may encounter while playing. There’s the Gap where you’ll need to become a bridge, the Build where you form an object like a chair, the Ride where the example is trying to stay on a mechanical bull, the Shadow where you’ll be recreating shapes via your shadows, the Catch where you grab and hold objects, and Play which looks like a fun Jenga party!

    About Grabimals

Grabimals merges the concept of building and playing into a brand new experience where players control a party of unique creatures and connect them together to solve a wide variety of puzzles.

Nintendo announced during their Nintendo Direct at E3 2019 that Luigi’s Mansion 3 is coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime this year. Today they’ve specified the perfect release date for our spooky ghost-catching game; October 31st, 2019. Luigi receives a dream vacation package with Mario and friends to a luxurious hotel. Once there however, King Boo reveals everything had been a ploy and now everyone is captured! Each floor of the hotel is its own unique level but this time, you don’t have to do it alone!

    Luigi’s Mansion 3

If you’ve read our last article on Luigi’s Mansion 3, then you know all about Gooigi. If not, a local friend can play as a green blob version of Luigi and have their own unique abilities to solve puzzles and access specific areas. For example, Gooigi can slip through metal fences and walk through spikes. As Luigi, you can unlock 3 new abilities: Slam, Suction Shot, and Burst. Burst being a truly exciting new move as you can damage several ghosts at once when surrounded.

Don’t forget to also check out the details about ScareScraper, the online multiplayer mode which includes voice chat right here! Play with up to 8 players and either catch all of the ghosts or find all of the toads within a limited time. With all of these cooperative features perhaps you’ll want some new joy-cons along with your shiny new game. Both joy-con colors announced will be releasing on October 4th, 2019 for $79.99. May we suggest the purple and orange colors to get you in the Halloween spirit and for a nice treat?

During today’s Nintendo Direct at E3 2019 in Los Angeles, Nintendo revealed some new features for the upcoming Luigi’s Mansion 3 coming to Nintendo Switch this year.

Luigi is invited to a luxurious hotel with Mario, Peach, and the others. But of course, not long after Luigi arrives, things take a dark turn for the gang. The other guests turn out to be ghosts and they are rather aggressive! Luigi has to save everyone and face every challenge thrown at him. There are many floors to this hotel with each one having uniquely themed designs, ghosts, and puzzles. For example, the floors range from a medieval castle to a museum/production studio!

Luigi now has a new Poltergust G-00 to take care of these enemies with some new capabilities. These capabilities are: Slam (slam the ghost to the ground), Suction Shot (attach the plunger to stuff and pull – effective against ghosts with shields), and Burst (a powerful air-pressure release to get rid of multiple ghosts at once). It should be pretty satisfying to gain experience t unlock these new abilities.

    Multiplayer

The game will receive a cooperative mode which includes the best invention from the lab yet; a green blob that is Gooigi. You can alternate between the two to use both their skills. Gooigi can slip through metal fences and walk through spikes. However, Gooigi and water do not mix so stay away from those bathrooms. You can also pass the joy-con to a friend so you can both play at the same time in the main story; one is regular Luigi, the other as Gooigi.

Another new feature is the ScareScraper which offers offline and online play for up to 8 players. Catch all ghosts before the timer runs out or find lost Toads throughout many procedurally generated floors.

The game did not get a specific release date but is still scheduled to come out later this year. Stay tuned with us here or follow us on Twitter for more Nintendo and E3 2019 updates all week long. See below for some gameplay video with Nintendo Treehouse.
