Doraemon is an upcoming Nintendo Switch Game introduced in a Nintendo Direct earlier this year. Doraemon Nobita no Bokujou Monogatari, or Doraemon: Nobita’s Story of Seasons – is a crossover game between Doraemon and the beloved Story of Seasons gaming series.

In the Doraemon Story Of Seasons players will be jumping in the role of a young boy named Nobita (who also features in Doraemon’s original manga and anime), the Story of Seasons aspect of the game sees players growing crops, raising animals, and improving their farm, which is located in a town called Shizen Town. The game also features the Harvest Goddess and other regular characters from the Story of Seasons Franchise, as well as Doraemon and his friends.

It was only yesterday that we received news about the next Story of Seasons Switch game, as well as more details about the spin off game Doraemon Story of Seasons. Fans are wondering if the adorable game will make its way to the west after its release on June 13th of this year.

Today a rumor has emerged that a localization trademark for the game might be underway. As Malaysian retailer Impulse Gaming wrote on their Facebook page a Chinese version “will not be too far away from the Japanese version.” Furthermore the retailer states that other territories such as the US, an English version is currently planned and slated for a release in Q4 2019.

While we are still waiting for an announcement from Marvelous, the studio behind Doraemon Story Of Seasons, the Malaysian retailer has often been proven right in the past and given the popularity of the Story of Seasons franchise, it is to assume this game will make its way to the west sooner rather than later.

If you love farming game as much as we do, make sure to check out Alchemy Story, an indie game inspired by Story of Seasons, Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing with the most adorable visuals, cute animals and so much more! Marvelous games has finally dropped the ball on the long awaited and much anticipated Story of Seasons Switch game. The farming sim was first announced when the Nintendo revealed the Switch back in 2017. Since then Marvelous has been extremely quiet about the next installment in the series.

While no details for Story of Seasons Switch have been revealed (sigh) the studio at the very least acknowledge the game is still in development, as after years of silence fans were wondering if the project had been cancelled. This update comes as a relief as even we at myPotatoGames started speculating when the game could get released on the Switch.

In the interview with Gematsu, Marvelous also discussed the upcoming crossover game between Story of Seasons and Doraemon – Doraemon Story of Seasons. The studio revealed that the project for the crossover game was founded by Koji Nakajima, who prides himself of being a huge fan of Harvest Moon: Back to Nature – one of the highest rated games in the Harvest Moon franchise.

Furthermore Marvelous revealed that Doraemon Story of Seasons features a real storyline unlike the original Story of Season which is designed to be more of a sandbox farming simulator. The main focus of the crossover game will be on family and the love for one’s family. Check out some more details from the interview below!

    • Doraemon Story of Seasons is a project that was launched by Bandai Namco’s Koji Nakajima, who was a fan of Harvest Moon: Back to Nature.
    • Unlike past Story of Seasons titles, Doraemon Story of Seasons has a proper main story (as opposed to just working on the farm).
    • The theme is family, and the main story focuses on love for one’s family.
    • Working on the ranch is the player’s main task, and at first the farm work will be quite hard.
    • Doraemon’s secret gadgets will help resolve the things that “inconvenience you” in Story of Seasons.
    • The “At Gungun,” which causes crops to grow immediately, is an expendable item, so it cannot be used carelessly.
    • Other than Doraemon Story of Seasons, work is underway on a new Story of Seasons game, according to Marvelous’ Hikaru Nakano.

Doraemon Story of Seasons is coming to Nintendo Switch on June 13th of this year, with a western release still in the open.

A first commercial and some adorable screenshots have recently been released for Doraemon Story of Seasons. If you would like to revisit the initial announcement and reveal trailer for the game head right over here.

Farm, Craft, Build a Family, And More!

Cornucopia is another in a long list of farming RPG sims that have cropped up since the genre began. With its charming 2.5D pixel graphics, and an abundance of features, this game looks like a great contender for players looking for more farm sim fun.

Featuring the usual farming, crafting, cooking, and animal care, Cornucopia offers the same comfortable features players have grown to love. However, this game takes it a step further with the amount of choices available. Farmers will be able to plant 52 types of fruit trees, 15 types of berry bushes, and grow 52 different crops, including their different artisan varieties. You’ll then be able to sell your crops via shipping bin, or sell them at auction, or even cook them. There will be 200 cooking recipes for farmers to discover.

Besides farming, there’s logging, fishing, mining, and pet breeding. Cornucopia has 150 fish species for farmers to catch. Plus, pets will play a part in game play. Breed pets to discover all the unique genetic variations and colors available in game, and create your favorite pet. Then enter them into races against other pets, or use their help to fight 12 different monsters and 5 different bosses.

When you’re done with the hard work for the day, kick back with some crafting and decorating. Unlock furniture and decorations to turn your farm into your favorite getaway. Make friends with Cornucopia’s NPCs, too. Who knows, maybe one of the over 47 NPCs will catch your fancy! Romance them, go on dates, and unlock their romantic cut scenes. Even marry one, start a family, and decorate their room in your house. How will you live your Cornucopia life?

    Coming Soon!

This cute farm game, Cornucopia, will be released August 1st, 2023 and will be found on Steam. Be sure to Wishlist it on Steam to be notified when it releases!

A brand new remake of a beloved Harvest Moon game.

The next Game in the popular Story of Seasons franchise is called a Wonderful Life a remake of the immensely popular game Harvest Moon a Wonderful Life, and promises to go back to its roots with new enhancements to make a great game even better.

A Wonderful Life builds upon the strong foundation the previous game has already provided with a major new twist compared to most farming games.

Once you get married to your favorite villager, you can now raise a child with your loved one. As The developers stated once you have lived your life to the fullest, spent years farming, fishing, exploring the dig sites and making friends with the town folks then “ your child will be old enough to choose a career for themselves… Will they inherit the farm? Or will they find their calling somewhere else? Only time will tell. “

It truly feels like a new spin on farming games as most games in the genre don’t put s big focus on families in this way, only The Sims comes to my mind. I am very excited to see if it will be exactly like the original or if the developers have some surprises for us as Marvelous is known to improve certain features in their remakes.

Story Of Seasons a Wonderful Life Release Date

Pre-orders for the Japanese version are ready for downloading, while fans in the west will have to wait until 6/20. However, if you want to express your excitement, pre-orders are now open at BestBuy and most other retailers.

    More Story of Seasons fun!

if you can’t get enough of Story of Seasons, take a look at Doraemon Story of Seasons the Great Kingdom a beautifully looking game with rich farming and more!
