Even though managing budget and traveling can be hectic, the developers emphasize that the game is meant to be a relaxing and joyful experience.

Wanderlust Travel Stories is heading to Steam on August 28th. You can already wishlist it now.

These have been some of our most anticipated games as of late and we’ve noticed that our Potato Family is also eager for the release of these games! We’ve put together some links for you below to wishlist along with the most recent updates to tie us all over until we get the chance to play! If you’ve only just heard of these incredibly adorable games now, or if you’ve missed our other articles on them, we’ve also added those links for you!

    Snacko

Snacko, the game where you play as a cat, is an adorable farming simulation with unique puzzles. Below is the announcement from June that we are most excited about but if you want to read their entire devlog you can do so here. Snacko still has a tentative release date of 2021 for PC and the Nintendo Switch. If you missed our last month’s updates on this game, you can read our article here.

An entirely new building system is in the works which includes their new camera rotation! Now you can see all your wonderful decors from all angles and rotate your items to place however you want! Take a look at the video below to see how it will work. We’ve also listed everything else for that pertains to your furniture and decor items.

    New Features:

    • world-aligned grid snapping – this means no matter where you are on the map, you can always make a perfectly straight line, even if the building area is offset from the others.
    • rotate freely – rotate on 45 degree angle increments by holding CTRL and sliding your mouse…just like in the Sims! Part of October’s update will also be adding additional support for controllers, although it won’t be fully polished
    • free build mode – my personal favourite: you can go off the grid and rotate at any degree you want! Although the default is set to snapping since we feel like most players would prefer that, you can toggle on free build mode to place things wherever you’d like
    • placing multiple things on surfaces – as long as there’s enough room, you can stuff as many things on top of a surface, such as a table or counter, as you’d like. No more messy snapping algorithms that limit how you can decorate your kitchen counters when you can just use free build mode!
    • dyes – certain objects, indoors or outdoors, can be dyed with items and their patterns changed. Dyes can be crafted or purchased, and items with different patterns can be purchased from certain NPCs. For example, you can keep the style of your bed frame but swap out the blanket pattern by purchasing a new blanket…you can dye it afterwards, too!

    Alchemy Story

Alchemy Story is a magical farming simulation game where you’ll have to turn the poor townsfolk from animals to humans again! We’ve played an early version of the game on itch.io which you can purchase here, or you can read about here in our review. You can also wishlist the game on Steam here so you’re notified of the Early Access release which is expected this August 2019. If you purchased it earlier on itch.io, you’ll get the Steam code for free when it releases.

Last month’s update Penelope Fineyarn and mines where added, now we get to take a look at newly added Madeline Fineyarn in this new devlog! Once you help her out, this cute tailor will open her boutique in Rosehill and you’ll be able to shop for new outfits! Another new area added is the Market. You can now unlock eight market stalls in the town center and place your ingredients for sale. You can add fish to the list of things to sell (five different kinds) as you can now go fishing anywhere with a body of water. Finally, a map and a “guide me” feature has been added so you can follow along to where you’d like to go!

    Ooblets

What can we say about this wonderfully unique simulation and adventure game? Ooblets is about growing and training these adorable creatures on you farm to then follow you in exploring strange lands and doing dance-battles with other trainers and wild Ooblets. There is still no release date as of yet but you can wishlist it on Steam here and expect the game to also release on Xbox One simultaneously. You can catch up with our last article here or read on for the latest devlog (which you can also do here).

Now there’s a rare weather event to catch Gleamies, the rarest variation of each Ooblet type. This sparkly rain brings out a higher chance of running into local Gleamies for you to challenge and looks beautiful too. Below you’ll also see the newly added Ooblet, Spuddle!

    Button City

This game about a fox and his friends trying to save their local arcade is still in early development so we do not have a release date or confirmed platforms but what we do know is that it’s darn cute. A couple of months ago we introduced to you the characters along with their gaming rivalry here but now we have a little more information from their new Patreon page here about how to travel around this beautiful pastel-colored world. They also recently announced that they are hiring 3D artists if you happen to be one and are reading this now.

Use the Zoomie to get to other places in the world super quick. When you play the game you’ll be able to press a button or use a finger gesture to zoom out of the level, enter the level selection stack, and pop into a new place. What you see below are the actual floating islands to which you’ll be navigating so this new form of fast-travel, the Zoomie, is a way to interact with this type of design choice.

We have a sneak peak of the concept art for a new character, Peppermint Pepperbottom, who’s the one behind the wicked scheme to shut down the arcade. You also get to see some lovely art of the downtown street that’s going to have tons of little shops. As of now there’s a market, pizzeria, book store, and a music shop!

Stay tuned with us here at myPotatoGames for the latest and greatest on wholesome games!

Roller Coaster Tycoon has been one the most popular Tycoon games of all time and the fun continued with the same developers but a different name – Planet Coaster. Harvest Moon fans might be familiar with such name change as the former farming series is now called Story of Seasons. Today Frontier Games announced their latest tycoon game Planet Zoo in which player will build, decorate and create their very own Zoo.

Planet Zoo is a Tycoon game with a level of detail Roller Coaster fans would come to expect. The game features tons of customizations, and if the Theme Park Tycoon games are any indication, you will be able to create buildings from scratch, decide every trees and items location, build huge areas for your adorable animals to live in and just so much more.

    Elephants roaming in Planet Zoo

The first Planet Zoo trailer shows off some of the customization levels in the game. But beyond the tools allowing us to create our dream zoo, the visuals of the game are also breathtaking. Amazingly beautiful animals with authentic animations help create an immersive world to play in.

One of the most, if not the most important part of the game is to keep your animals happy and according to Frontier Games, the developing studio behind the game, this is a difficult task. Players will have to make sure each animal has what they need to be happy. This means that decoration, environment, climate and more will play a role in the happiness of our fury ( or non fury ) friends.

If you are as excited as we are to start building our own zoo, you might be happy to find out that you can already wishlist Planet Zoo on Steam. The official release date is currently “Coming Soon”. We will be sure to cover any updates going forward!

For more nostalgia gaming, check out the newly “reborn” The Sims Online game, in which you can play The Sims with your friends online.

The Good Life is an upcoming life simulation game co-developed by SWERY and Yukio Futatsugi. In the good life the player will jump into the role of Naomi, a journalist from New York who moved back into a small British town called Rainy Woods, in order to pay off her huge debt. As we mentioned in an earlier preview this sounds all too familiar, with some major Tom Nook shills.

As development of the game goes along, more details about the quirky game come up. The new story trailer reveals weird quirks about the game, such as the fact that players will be able to play as a dog or cat at night. However, we suggest you check out the rather interesting story trailer below, to get a better sense of The Good Life.

The Good Life is scheduled to release on PC and PS4 sometime later this year. There has been no word on a concrete release date, or any other platforms support at this point. If you want to check out the kickstarter page here. In the good life the player will jump into the role of Naomi, a journalist from New York who moved back into a small British town called Rainy Woods, in order to pay off her huge debt. Sounds familiar? We are getting some major Tom Nook vibes!

The only way for Naomi to settle her debt is to do what she does best, taking photos around town and document whats happening around her. The people who live in Rainy Woods are some of the most bizarre people, and mysterious things start happening around Naomi quickly. If the mystery of this game sounds intriguing, perhaps you might want to consider to help fund the game. The developers of The Good Life are currently seeking funding on Kickstarter. A whopping $647.000 is needed to keep developing this uniquely twisted game. SWERY has already tried to seek funding on FIG last year, but fell short of it’s 1.5 Million funding goal. The game is currently in development for PC (Steam) and Playstation 4.

You can check out the new kickstarter trailer below. If you want to help fund the game, check out the kickstarter page here. For more life simulation games, check out The Sims Mobile, that just released a couple days ago.

Tamagotchi has been around for what seems to be forever. It’s been 20 years since the West first got to enjoy the Tamagotchi. First released as a physical toy in the mid 90’s, it quickly became a phenomenon with many virtual pet games that followed. Nintendogs was another very successful virtual pet game released on the original Nintendo DS. Now Bandai Namco has gone a step further, and with the power of smartphones, they have released a brand new Tamagotchi experience to take with us wherever we go.

My Tamagotchi Forever is an adorable take on the original principle of the Tamagotchi.  Taking a first glance at the game, Animal Crossing fans will notice that the actual Tamagotchi pets look like something you would meet in the world of Animal Crossing. But this time around My Tamagotchi Forever packs a lot more features and activities to do. While these two games are entirely different, there are some similarities, and it seems as if Bandai Namco tried to capture the spirit and cuteness of Animal Crossing in their latest mobile game.

in My Tamagotchi Forever players will need to babysit their Tamagotchi nearly around the clock, unless your is Tamagotchi sleeping. It needs to be fed, taken care of – to make sure it’s not getting sick, be played with and so much more. You get the idea, it’s like a needy puppy who always seeks for your attention. Love or hate it, the Tamagotchi is just too cute to not fulfill any of it’s wishes.

For the first time the game also packs a whole town to explore. Players will be able to collect items and coins to customize the town. These collectibles are placed around Tamatown ( the name of the town ). You can find them inside buildings, around bushes, or with some of the villagers who may hide them.

Besides the usual nursing a pet, and the new Tamatown experience, players will also be able to engage in multiple mini-games. Hide and Seek, and candy crush like games just to name a couple of them. If you are intrigued and ready to adopt your new Tamagotchi, you can download My Tamagotchi Forever on the Google Play Store and on iOS App Store for free.

For more news on cutsey games, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp just received a bunch of new Animal visitors, check them out here. And The Sims celebrated their return to Mobile recently as well.
