Games that revolve around cats doing anything are sure to be just about as cute as it gets. Throw in a little bento box preparation and you have the recipe for an absolutely darling mobile game. Inbento is a little puzzle game about kitty-cats packing lunches, bento style. The object of the game is to match your lunch with the example given, the ultimate goal being to provide your family with wholesome nutrition.
The soft color scheme and the wordless storytelling make this mobile game a more heartfelt and relaxing approach to puzzlers. However, do expect there to be some not-so-relaxing moments, as the game has launched with over 100 levels. There are even bonus stages for those that master the basics. Inbento is currently out on iOS, and will be releasing on Android shortly. The game costs only $2.99, and offers a completely ad-free experience. For more information on Inbento and other titles by Afterburn, you can check out their official website. For more adorable cat games, don’t forget to check out Calico.
Mineko’s Night Market is an upcoming cat-themed crafting adventure game that celebrates Japanese culture and is essentially about friendship, choices, and of course, cats. The indie game is being developed by Meowza Games, and being published by Humble Bundle, who will also publish upcoming games Forager and Ikenfell.
The exact date for the games release is yet to be determined, though the creators recently announced that more news are coming and the game is currently in full time development again. If you are just as excited about this cat-tastic game take a look below for everything we know so far about the game!
Playing as Mineko, a girl who has moved to a superstitious fishing town inundated with cats, you will uncover secrets whilst assiting Mineko in becoming a successful young entrepreneur. This can be done by completing tasks, undertaking quests and gathering resources in preparation for the weekly night market.
Players can craft a variety of odd items, toys, and trinkets, which can then be sold to townsfolk (who are now your customers) at Mineko’s night market stall. After you’ve finished selling your items, you can explore the Night Market yourself, where you can play mini-games, eat unusual foods, and purchase collectibles.
The game allows you to explore distant lands by unlocking different types of transport (which include buses, bullet trains and cat carts). Each land offers new people to meet and unique things to do, dependent on the time of day and season.
There are 16 uniquely themed markets every year which all feature a stage event that you can partake in. Examples of events include Taiko drumming, karaoke competitions, sumo suit wrestling, and more!
The better you perform at the market, the bigger and better the market will become, which may well attract new townsfolk and even celebrity guests!
Some features of the game include:
The price of the game is still TBA.
The Nintendo website claims that the game is ‘coming soon’ to the Switch console. As the PC and Mac versions were in the works first, based on recent news it’s likely that a release on all three platforms is happening sometime in 2020 or 2021 – this.
Yes! The following items can be purchased whilst you (im)patiently await the game’s release:
I also had a chance to wit down with Brent, developer behind the game for an exclusive interview last year. For some more sneaky details on Mineko’s Night Market, make sure you check out the interview here.
Mario Kart has been an extremely popular franchise for a very long time now. With much competition from games like Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled and Garfield Kart: Furious Racing, Meow Motors scratches a different itch with a strong focus on our beloved furry cat friends.
Meow Motors is everything you would come to expect from a Kart Racing game. You drift and turn in hopes to claim the victory and much like Mario Kart you can also equip weapons to make your opponents life just a little harder.
In Meow Motors every cat has its own kart that you can use to speed through the many tracks. There are also a total of three different game modes which you can compete in. Drift, in which you have to drift as best as you can through tight corners, Strike where you will need to destroy as many frags as possible and Circle Race which is the traditional racing mode.
The game also features 4 player split-screen multiplayer where you can compete against your enemies across various tracks and game modes.
Meow Motors is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam! Check out the most adorable announcement trailer below!

Father’s Day is tomorrow so we here at myPotatoGames wanted to take a moment to appreciate the various types of fatherly figures IRL and in videogames. Even if you were created and not born by conventional means like Mega Man, a dad can still be someone that looks after you. Even Tom Nook is an uncle/guardian or perhaps even a mentor to Timmy and Tommy. He’s actually quite the misunderstood fellow too, so we hear. So let’s take a moment to appreciate dads and vote! Happy Father’s Day to our Potato Family!
If you’re still looking for that perfect gift for your gamer dad, we got an awesome list of ideas for you here.

The currently-in-production indie title, Here Comes Niko, looks so cute we couldn’t help but talk about it! What information we could find showed us a darling protagonist with an affinity for bouncing around on her belly, and even using herself as her own fishing lure! Just like the delightful Niko, we were immediately hooked right in!
Right away we noticed that the characters you interact with in the game just happen to be talking animals! If there is one thing we can’t get enough of at myPotatoGames, it’s anthropomorphism. We feel right at home in chatting with kitties or finding out the daily plans of a lazy llama. Here Comes Niko appears to have graphic influence from Paper Mario, but with a more light and colorful feel.
With the inclusion of such items as a parasail, we can see this this cat-tastic title is sure to be stocked to the brim all kinds of entertaining exploits. Run, jump, climb, bounce and fly about the cutesy world in an effort to complete each and every task at hand. Whether you are playing volleyball with a kitty or climbing trees to collect whatever may be atop, Here Comes Niko looks like it will be a sure delight to play.
Here Comes Niko is currently in production, and we were not able to find an estimated release date…yet.
