If you followed the development of Mineko’s Night Market you might know that the developers have taken a well deserved catnap back in 2019 and stoped development for some time. Even though on March 2nd, 2021 it was announced they returned to development, not much info was shared, until today!
Mineko’s Night Market is an upcoming cat-themed crafting adventure game that celebrates Japanese culture and is essentially about friendship, choices, and of course, cats. The indie game is being developed by Meowza Games, and being published by Humble Bundle, who also publishes games like Forager and Ikenfell.
Playing as Mineko, a girl who has moved to a superstitious fishing town inundated with cats, you will uncover secrets whilst assiting Mineko in becoming a successful young entrepreneur. This can be done by completing tasks, undertaking quests and gathering resources in preparation for the weekly night market.
Players can craft a variety of odd items, toys, and trinkets, which can then be sold to townsfolk (who are now your customers) at Mineko’s night market stall. After you’ve finished selling your items, you can explore the Night Market yourself, where you can play mini-games, eat unusual foods, and purchase collectibles.
The game allows you to explore distant lands by unlocking different types of transport (which include buses, bullet trains and cat carts). Each land offers new people to meet and unique things to do, dependent on the time of day and season.
There are 16 uniquely themed markets every year which all feature a stage event that you can partake in. Examples of events include Taiko drumming, karaoke competitions, sumo suit wrestling, and more!
The better you perform at the market, the bigger and better the market will become, which may well attract new townsfolk and even celebrity guests!
There is no exact date yet but we are looking at a 2023 release date. The game is already confirmed for Steam ( wishlist here ) and Nintendo Switch.

Lake is an indie game that is guaranteed to bring you joy and relaxation in form of a fun and chill simulation game. Set in Providence Oaks in the beautiful state of Oregon long before cell phones and modern technology was invented, back in 1986.
You step into the role of Meredith, a mail delivery woman where your job is to deliver mail to the town folks. You start your day by hopping into your small postal service truck and drive around in beautiful environments next to lakes and tall trees.
As you start your routine you will stop at the cabins along the road and drop off mail and packages. As you approach the properties you may also encounter and meet the quirky, fun and unique people who populate the village. You will learn about the people you deliver mail to daily and eventually become a part of the community you serve.
As relaxing and laid back as the game is, choices you make actually effect the ending of your story. Lake features three different unique outcomes and these are entirely based on the choices you make throughout the game.
Lake The Game is now available on PC, via Steam where it is also currently on sale. It will also be available on Xbox One / Series X.

You follow programmer Kanii and graphics artist Kumade who are trying to make an indie game together. Much like in the sense of Eric, creator of Stardew Valley. The only big difference is, Kanii and Kumades game is not selling and fans are not playing their indie game.
The story picks up when Kanii is desperately trying to find a way to sell the game but Kumade is ready to makes a big decision.
Of course just like the developer of this game, I am not going to reveal more of the story as you will have to play for yourself to find out how the story is going to unfold.
Goodbye World is a charming indie game with a deep story that is as fun as it is emotional to follow, especially in a time like right now where many of the best games are made by small indie developers.
