Developed by Sunhead games, Carto is a chill puzzler with much adventure, and some relaxing tunes to explore to. You take on the role of a courageous young lady on a journey home. You must shift and change your map, which is segmented into squares, to create a new world and help those that wish to aid you in your quest.
Carto will release tomorrow for the Nintendo Switch, and will cost $19.99 through the Nintendo eShop. The game will also be releasing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC&Mac via Steam.

With heavy focus on creating a relaxing atmosphere, Carto is hand-drawn and has wonderfully tranquil music to match the lush and soothing environment. This is an indie adventure for (nearly) all the senses. It’s set to be a fun and emotional journey with a cast of whimsical characters to meet and help along the way.
Originally announced for Steam and Humble, Carto has also recently been announced to be released on the PlayStation 4 (hence, the trailer above).
No mention of Switch release yet, but I’ll keep an eye out. For more information on the game, see the publishers post in the PlayStation Blog.

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]e recently wrote about the upcoming Steam release of Cartoon Network game Steven Universe: Save the Light. But Cartoon Network (CN) and Outright Games have announced that it will also be coming to Switch. The game will be ported to Nintendo Switch alongside OK K.O as part of a boxed retail CN bundle.
Join the Crystal Gems on the ultimate quest! A mysterious new Gem has stolen a powerful weapon. Only Steven and his friends have what it takes to stop her. “Save the Light” is a unique RPG hybrid that combines real-time and turn-based combat.
Based on Cartoon Network’s hit show, this game stars pint-sized K.O. as he fights Lord Boxman’s evil bots to save Lakewood Plaza Turbo. In this story-driven adventure meets cartoon-brawler, you’ll complete quests, unlock moves & collect cards of your Plaza pals as you fight to become a true hero.
The game bundle will be available for retail purchase on 30th October in North America and 2nd November in Europe. It will be available to purchase for the suggested retail price of $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99.
Being the first time either game that the two games appear on Switch, they will also be available to purchase separately from the eShop. So those who wish to go digital can purchase Steven Universe: Save the Light for $24.99/£19.99/€24.99 and OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes for $19.99/£17.99/€19.99 from the 30th October.
Ready for a quirky life sim where you run a summer camp where absolutely nothing strange happens ever? Then give Camp Canyonwood a try! You are the newest camp counselor and you’re in charge of running and maintaining this cozy campsite. It’s a little bit neglected, so you’ll need to fix it up some while managing your campers. Restore the beautiful campground to its former glory and teach your young campers valuable skills they can take home with them. Just keep an eye out for some weird activity!
Camp Canyonwood is beautifully hand-drawn with a look reminiscent of old Cartoon Network cartoons. Take part in fun camp activities like fishing, archery, stargazing, and more. Be careful on your adventures as you need to carefully monitor the health and well-being of your campers, as well as keep an eye out for grumpy bears and chubby raccoons! If the campers are unhappy, their parents won’t pay at the end of summer, and you need that money to upgrade the campground. There are tons of decor items you can collect. Choose different tent and cabin styles to spruce up the place, too.
And remember, nothing strange ever happens at camp. There’s totally never any ghosts or UFO sightings.
Camp Canyonwood is currently available on Steam!
A Tiny Sticker Tale by developer Ogre Pixel (the same devs who made Lonesome Village) is a cute and cozy little adventure game with a heartwarming story. Play as Flynn the donkey, as you explore Figori Island. You’re there to search for your father. Things aren’t quite what they seem, though, as everything is a sticker! You’ll complete quests and manipulate your environment to solve puzzles by using the stickers you collect. Move a bridge to get across the river. Find a bird’s egg. Even decorate your very own home with cute decorations!
There isn’t much of a story to A Tiny Sticker Tale, actually. You start the game by hopping off a boat onto Figori Island. There, you speak to a rabbit NPC who teaches you how to manipulate the stickers in the world, but also mentions you’re looking for your father. That’s it. That’s all the backstory and information you get about why you’re here in the first place. Of course, having a story at all isn’t necessary for a successful game, and I don’t think the lack of story impacts this game. Nevermind that the game is a solid two hours of gameplay, so it’s not bogged down by too much exposition or cut scenes.
A Tiny Sticker Tale is simple to learn and easy to play, which makes it a great little palette cleanser between heavier games. You move around the island, collect stickers, solve puzzles, and complete quests that are often fetch quests. That’s it! There’s no complicated mechanics. Nothing is hard to understand or do. It’s a great game idea that I thoroughly enjoyed. It’s reminiscent of my childhood and using sticker books for entertainment.
The characters you encounter add life and warmth to the world. They each have a reason for needing help that makes you feel good about performing good deeds. But what really adds to the overall heartwarming feel of A Tiny Sticker Tale are the graphics and soundtrack. The cartoony nature of the art is charming and adorable. They’re inviting and easy to look at, while the soundtrack sits perfectly in the background accompanying you on your journey.
Overall, A Tiny Sticker Tale is an enjoyable experience. It’s a cute little game worth the few hours it takes to play!

Here’s another slightly spooky game perfect for this Halloween season! With its whimsical, cartoonish art style and light combat encounters, this game rides the line between spooky and goofy. Originally released on the Atari 2600 in 1982, the Steam version of Haunted House is an updated, re-imagined retelling of the original. You can even pre-order a special edition of the original game here if you’re interested!
In this modern Haunted House, you play as Lyn Graves, beloved niece of famous treasure hunter Zachary Graves. Lyn visits her uncle’s home with her closest friends, only to find the house overrun with ghouls and monsters. Those creatures quickly grab her friend and spirit them away, leaving Lyn alone to free her uncle, friends, and contain the monsters! To do this, she needs to find all of the pieces to a shattered magic urn and put it back together.
As you sneak through Haunted House, you’ll encounter procedurally generated rooms, walls that shift and move, and unique encounters. Each room you encounter will be a brand new experience. If you’re knocked out, you’ll restart at the foyer and face a totally new floor layout and enemy placement. You need to sneak, creep, and dash through the hordes of monsters and ectoplasm to find your friends and uncle. Think on your feet to complete challenges as you face them. As you find your friends, they become playable characters with their own set of stats. These different skills can come in handy as you delve deeper into the haunted mansion. So, who you adventure with will come with its own new experiences!
Haunted House is available now everywhere! You can find it on Steam, Epic Games, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation.
