Guinea Pig Parkour is a comical hand-drawn 2D platform game currently in development.

Squishy, fluffy and fuzzy guinea pig goodness! If you like tiny rodents getting into shenanigans, or are a fan 2D platformers by awesome indie developers, then we’ve got the perfect title for you. Guinea Pig Parkour is a 2D platform game that takes inspiration from such classic titles as Alladin and Earthworm Jim. However, this title puts a new spin on things by adding its own unique humor, as well as a cool 90’s themed level design.

The hand drawn levels add to the overall humorous tone that is one of the themes of Guinea Pig Parkour. We had a lot of fun with watching the hilariously drawn protagonist slam a drink of coffee and go zooming! The whimsical movements in the game are not restricted to the character, either, as we can see the environment you interact with behaves in much the same manner. The level designs, from what we could see, have a very silly feel, and look almost like they’re straight out of an episode of Rocko’s Modern Life. We can’t wait to see more!

With the super cool graphic design, and what looks to be some classic gameplay styling, we will certainly be keeping an eye on Guinea Pig Parkour. For more up-to-date information on this cute critter title, be sure to follow them on Twitter by clicking here, and don’t forget to check them out on Discord. If you like what you see, and would like to help the game reach its full potential, you can support Guinea Pig Parkour on Patreon by clicking here. Me – A Tale of Paws and Leaves is an adorable RPG puzzler.

There have been many games coming out lately that help players learn about and deal with the range of emotions that we experience throughout our lives. From the emotional rollercoaster that is a long distance relationship in “A Fold Apart“, to overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles in “Celeste“. The virtual world has truly been going after the heart lately. The same can be said for “Me – A Tale of Paws and Leaves”. This is another wonderful title that gently guides us through the turmoils we face from day to day.

In “Me – A Tale of Paws and Leaves”, you play as a fox named Me, and must explore the land around you with the help of your trusty butterfly, Ani. Ani will be you adorable yet slightly verbose best friend. The game is experienced through memories, seemingly to aid in the idea of overcoming that which looms over us all, a fear of death.

Although tackling some pretty hard hitting and emotional issues, the game never loses its sense of humor. The beautiful graphics also give a sense of peace and wonder as you explore with you overly-wordy partner. Me also has the ability to control the seasons, which adds a nice touch to the varied gameplay. For instance, you will actually have the choice to take a nice swim across a pond in your path, or simply freeze it and stroll right over.

Me – A Tale of Leaves and Paws is currently still in development by indie studio Grown Arts. For up-to-date information about the development of “Me – A Tale Of Paws and Leaves”, be sure to follow them on Twitter by clicking here. We couldn’t be more excited about this pup-alicious game! Check out the cutsie video below.

The game of courses features lots and lots of dogs, but besides having fur friends running around Pupperazzi also comes with a couch-competitive gameplay mode, this means you can compete with a friend to get the best snaps of the funniest, cutest dog in the game. All the cute pictures you take in the game can easily be shared with your friends via social media, this should make for some great fun!

Here Comes Niko is an absolutely charming adventure game!

The currently-in-production indie title, Here Comes Niko, looks so cute we couldn’t help but talk about it! What information we could find showed us a darling protagonist with an affinity for bouncing around on her belly, and even using herself as her own fishing lure! Just like the delightful Niko, we were immediately hooked right in!

Catch some fish with the help of Fischer!

    More anthropomorphic friends!

Right away we noticed that the characters you interact with in the game just happen to be talking animals! If there is one thing we can’t get enough of at myPotatoGames, it’s anthropomorphism. We feel right at home in chatting with kitties or finding out the daily plans of a lazy llama. Here Comes Niko appears to have graphic influence from Paper Mario, but with a more light and colorful feel.

Last year, you may remember us announcing a 3D animated series based on the heartwarming adventure game of Rakuen.

Rakuen is a beautiful adventure game that features a hospitalised boy, who travels to the fantasy world of Rakuen with his mother. Upon its release, Rakuen was a firm favorite here at MPG, despite flying under the radar a little at first. Since then, however, the game has received overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, earned a rating of 9.5/10 on Polygon, and received a Metascore of 84/100 by Metacritic. Priced at £6.99/USD$9.99, the game offers very good value for money.

    Rakuen

On August 10th 2018, Laura Shigihara (the developer and publisher of Rakuen), posted a surprising and exciting trailer to her channel, announcing the future release of a 3D animated Rakuen series, entitled The Farmer in the Sky.

The cute trailer gave us a sneak-peak of what to expect in the animated series, which is set in the whimsical world of Rakuen. Since the trailer’s release, The Farmer in the Sky has been in development by Laura Shigihara and animator Slamacow.

However, fans of Rakuen will be pleased to know that the wait is over, as the first episode of the series, (entitled ‘Too Many Minimoris’) was posted on the YouTube channel of Morizora Studios three days ago on the 13th May. The Rakuen Steam page has confirmed that there will be more future episodes, and therefore to subscribe to the channel.
