The Sims 5 or better known as project Renee is giving us the first look at the new city area.

The Sims 5 is currently developed under the code name “Project Rene”. many rumors over the past years have pointed at a new Sims game featuring multiplayer, many new innovative features as well as as cross platform gameplay – that’s right The Sims 5 might be playable on mobile phones as well as console and PC.

Today a Sims 5 Twitter insider account shared some exciting new images with us that directly show off the new city and even some apartment buildings currently in the alpha build of The Sims 5 / Project Rene.

The somewhat small city might not reveal much at this point but it does give a another look at the art style EA and Maxis are going for. In addition we can also see apartments where a play has decorated a few rooms. This specific area feels a lot like apartment buildings in The Sims 3.

Something that especially The Sims 5 community might be excited about is the presence of vehicles, we may be able to to own and drive cars again to get around town!

Take a look at some of the screenshots below. While looking at these images please do keep in mind these are screenshots from a very early alpha build of The Sims 5 / Project Rene. EA and Maxis decided to let us be part of the development process therefore visuals may not be final.

    The Sims 5 Graphics

The Sims 5 graphics may indeed be a little bit more simple compared to previous installments in the franchise. This could be done in favor of cross-platform gameplay. EA and Maxis aim to deliver the same gameplay experience for The Sims 5 / Project Rene no matter what device you play on, including mobile phones.

To achieve a seamless experience the game would need to be designed for less powerful devices from the ground up. Keep in mind that at this point anything other than what EA officially shared is speculation.

Following many rumors The Sims 5 is finally confirmed to be in development featuring the most innovative customization tools of any Sims game so far.

EA and Maxis were proud to let us have a look at the very early build of The Sims 5. The developers made very clear that development is at a very early stage and the release of the game may still be year away.

However, the first look at customizing furniture is incredible although it is showing a lot of similarities to Animal Crossing inspired game Hokko Life where you can make your own furniture from the ground up.

Maxis showed how you can customize beds and couches to a detail not seen in previous Sims games. Change the pillow size, color, rotation and more. In addition to being able to let your creativity free roam, you can also invite friends to you join you build your home or even play with with them comparatively together. The Sims with multiplayer is something that had been rumored for a while and many players have been wishing for it for years. For the players who enjoy playing alone this is of course still an option as well.

The Dust Up Kit, Country Kitchen and Throwback Kit are three unique bundles that all come with new and different items.

SimGurus have also confirmed on Twitter that these new kits don’t have any impact on future development and releases of Stuff and Expansion packs and are simply a new addition to spice up your game with a few new items.

All three kits have a different focuses. The Dust It Up kit features new ways to keep your home clean and helps you get ready for the big spring cleaning.

The Sims 4 is still going strong even years after its initial release. Maxis just released another free update adding tons of new features to the game.

    Welcome back Firefighters!

The Sims 4 latest and free update adds long requested content such as the old but now new Firefighters NPC. If you accidentally set your kitchen on fire, you don’t need to rush and find a fire extinguisher but instead give your friendly neighborhood firestation a call and they will ( hopefully ) fix your problem within minutes!

    Free window placement!

Finally! To give your creativity even more freedom a new build mode feature has been added to the game. You can now place windows anywhere you like on a wall. Prior to this update windows would snap onto a grid not allowing you to freely place the window on any height you like! With the latest update there are almost no limitations anymore!

    Ladders are here!

    the sims 4 ladders

There have always been stairs in The Sims and even elevators to create beautiful designs and make your design ideas come to live. But some areas such as tree houses may call for a ladder or other designs call for something that doesn’t take as much space as stairs or elevators. Ladders are the solution and can be placed and used anywhere to climb up to a second or even third floor!

More, more and so much more!

The latest patch for the game has brought tons of more features including a breakdown of your household bill, new NPCs, M-A-C Cosmetics, changes to the inventory and more! You can read the full patch notes right here!

The update is now available for free to anyone who owns The Sim4 Base game.

Take a dive down into Hokko Life and meet the adorable town folks in this upcoming life and village simulation game!

Animal Crossing games have become more and more popular over the years especially with New Horizons upon us! So it is just natural for indie developers to take some inspiration from the beloved village simulator. Hokko Life is a game I have had my eye on for more than a year now and I couldn’t be more excited that the Hokko Life Reveal Trailer is finally here!

Animal Crossing Inspired – But Shines All Its Own

Before take a tour through Hokko Life I would like to iterate that games inspired by other games is something that should be encouraged and not frown upon on. Stardew Valley, a game heavily inspired by the original Harvest Moon games has managed to push developers to make better, bigger and more engaging farming games.

Solid completion for the Animal Crossing franchise is a healthy for the future of the entire genre as well as for the Animal Crossing franchise itself.

An example of franchises not having enough competition is The Sims a game that has amazing potential but never or barely ever evolved out of its original state from the first game in 2000 due to a lack of competition – this may change with Paralives!

    Meet Hokko Life!

Hokko Life does exactly that, as indie developer Robert openly describes Hokko Life as “Think Animal Crossing meets Lego and you’re a reasonable way there!”. However the game adds a lot of new and fresh content to the beloved genre.

    Hokko Life

Hokko Life captures what makes Animal Crossing special. A game in where you decide what to do, where your creativity is the only limit and where you live in a perfect little adorable town.

    Endless Customizations in Hokko Life

Robert is the solve developer behind the game and while he is creating an expansive town simulation game he has also puts a lot of focus in adding a level of customizations never seen in any games like this before!

“Players will be given the power to create furniture, cakes, flower decorations and more through an intuitive construction kit. By combining different pieces, paints and accessories you can create whatever objects your heart (or a villager) desires!”.

This is exciting news for everyone who loves to design and create their own little town. The extra level of customization adds more depth and the feeling of actually making your home your sanctuary!

You can even share your creations, ideas and designs online with other players around the world. The developer is striving for a way to make every town look unique and giving players the tools to create their very own furniture without it being too overwhelming to use.

    Hokko Life Reveal Trailer

The first trailer for Hokko Life has finally been revealed and not only shows off extremely adorable villagers but also – what appears to be super easy to use tools to make your own furniture and decorate your very own home. I am beyond excited to start playing Hokko Life!

You can wishlist Hokko Life on Steam already for a release sometime this year! Follow Hokko Life on Twitter here.

    More Hokko Life News

I was able to sit down with Robert for an exclusive interview last year, if you’d like to get some more information on the game, make sure you check it out right here.

And here is everything we know so far about the adorable upcoming indie game Hokko Life.

Two Point Hospital is a quirky hospital sim builder developed by Two Point Studios and published by SEGA. For those of you who recall playing EA’s Theme Hospital back in the late 90’s, Two Point Hospital will have you feeling nostalgia as the two games are very similar with Two Point Hospital feeling just like an updated version.

Today SEGA announced that Two Point Hospital will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch! The game that has more than 97% positive reviews on Steam will now be heading to the big screen.

There are a whooping 15 levels in Two Point Hospital where you build various rooms, hire staff to run them and once you have everything you need, the game will run itself while you watch – if that is something you desire.

But the game really shines when you start micromanaging and treating your patients, making sure there are enough seats in the waiting room and enough doctors on call to treat all the patients.

There are a few other options like making your hospital look visually appealing, making sure your patients don’t get bored, putting sanitation centers to insure the cleanliness of the hospital, and training your staff, but these aspects are also very limited. The simplicity of this game-play led for a very relaxing afternoon but I felt like the game needed more context to keep me playing it.

Two Point Hospital will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch later this year! Check out the fun new announcement trailer below.
