The farming sim genre has exploded in the last few years, and it can get overwhelming with the number of choices that are out there. Not all games are alike, though in some cases they very much are. Some games do really well to set themselves apart with cool new features or gorgeous and unique art, though, and Moondrop is one of those.

Farm, Fish, and Restore the Town

Farming is tough all on its own, but in Moondrop, there’s an added element of difficulty. The mountain you’re building your farm on is ever-changing. And when the mists roll in, everything disappears! Otherwise, the mountainside has great soil for planting and is the perfect place to farm. Grow a variety of peculiar crops that need to match up with their neighbors to grow and flourish. Some plants will spread across the farm, clone themselves, or even eat the other plants. There are even crops that will help keep the mists at bay for a short time.

When you’re not busy tending to your crops, you can explore some of the winding trails the mountain has to offer. Discover new seeds, perks, and blueprints while adventuring. Each new discovery you come across in Moondrop unlocks new possibilities for your future farms. You’ll even solve puzzles to learn about the mysteries of the mountain. Or, just cast a line and relax with some fishing!

Unfortunately, the encroaching mists can’t be kept away forever. When they come, they wipe out everything. Return to the abandoned village of Oncewas to sell your peculiar crops, and help revive the once-thriving town. Rebuild run-down buildings to encourage villagers to return, and they can unlock new upgrades and skills for you to use on your future farms. Then, return to the mountainside and begin a new farm, embark on a new adventure, and see what you can discover!

    Available Now!

You can find Moondrop on Steam and Itch.io. In fact, it’s currently 20% off on Steam until July 13th!

For more farming, check out Big Farm StoryBrookhaven Grimoire, and Coral Island.

Embark on a Charming Adventure While Brewing Potions

Witchtastic is a challenging co-op game perfect for fans of Overcooked and Moving Out. With up to four players, you take on the roles of aspiring witches. Experience a charming adventure while serving up potions in a fast-paced, demanding game. And if you’re not up for co-op, you can play a single player campaign, too!

It is up to you and your friends to gather ingredients and brew potions to serve as fast as you can. The key to success in Witchtastic is quick and precise communication coupled with prompt action. On each level, find ingredients such as deadly nightshade, garlic, or mushrooms and throw them in the boiling cauldron to brew the correct potions. Master dozens of potion recipes all while experiencing different settings and levels. Travel through villages, forests, swamps, cities and snowy ruins.

Beware of the challenges and trials of each level, though. Sometimes the forests are haunted, the wolves are aggressive, and the swamps deadly. Thwart these dangers to successfully craft your potions. You’ll also get to use your handy broom to fly across the levels of Witchtastic to avoid obstacles. Your trusty companion Owly can provide much needed help and advice, too. Be sure to serve potions as fast as possible so you can collect gems and unlock new outfits and other cosmetics to customize your witch with.

This fun, frenetic co-op game is available now on Steam. You can also add it to your Wishlist to keep an eye on any updates or sales!

    Use Stickers to Solve Puzzles

A Tiny Sticker Tale is a wholesome little adventure game where you play as Flynn the donkey. Armed with your trusty sticker book, embark on a journey across Figori Island. Use your creativity and skills to solve puzzles and thwart the raccoon causing chaos. Engage in a short, but fascinating adventure full of details.

You have full freedom with A Tiny Sticker Tale. Each puzzle has a specific solution, but you can rearrange and decorate each scene however you wish for a fun little aside outside of the game’s story. Almost every item in each stage can be turned into a sticker to be placed into your sticker book for later use. Create a whimsical scene without the pressures of using real stickers you can’t move around!

You can find the demo for this wonderful game on Steam. I picked it up as one of the many, many demos I grabbed from the Steam Next Fest event, and I highly recommend it. It’s simple, but beautiful. A Tiny Sticker Tale features an absolutely gorgeous, living art style that is both inviting and attractive. I can’t wait for the full release of this sweet little game!

    Coming Soon

This adorable little sticker book adventure has no release date listed, unfortunately. However, thanks to Steam’s current Next Fest, you can find a demo for it to try out (which I recommend!). Don’t forget to Wishlist it, too. A Tiny Sticker Tale will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

For more adorable and wholesome games, try Mail Time and Alchemic Cutie.
