Nintendo is currently hosting a sale on a bunch of games that have been recently featured in the Indie World Showcase.
The time of gift giving is upon us, and there aren’t many gifts that can top a cute new game to play on the Nintendo Switch. Add just a little more joy if that game happens to be an indie, you know, those games that are always made with the utmost care and love. Well, if this idea strikes your fancy, then Nintendos Indie World Showcase sale just might be for you.
Spiritfarer I checked out the list myself, and there are certainly a few cute games that I have been following for quite some time. Here are few of the myPotatoGames choices from the sale:

A new Indie World Showcase means a bunch of new indie games are coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Seeing as how we got an in depth look at Summer in Mara at the last Indie World Showcase, I have high hopes that this airing will bring news of even more absolutely wonderful Indies coming to the Nintendo Switch. The Switch already has a pretty expansive list of great indie games to peruse, from epic life sims like Stardew Valley, down to quirky party games like Moving Out.
While not everyone is in to the whole indie scene, I certainly find that there are some real amazing works of art being shared by the indie community. Where would we be without all those innovative minds taking the risks that some of the big studios refuse to take, resulting in some of the best games in human history.
Leaks / Rumors
For those that don’t totally dig Indies, there is other news with this Indie World Showcase. This Indie World Showcase was once again predicted, giving the hope that the predictions of an upcoming Nintendo Direct may be a reality. (deja vu much)

The adorable Summer In Mara features farming, crafting and living the island life!
Summer In Mara is a super cute indie game that I have had my eye on for some time now. You play as a adventurous young girl that lives on a beautiful tropical island. Explore the expansive world around you, do some farming, and help to make your little slice of heaven just that much better.
What is Summer In Mara?
With more than 300 quests to complete, you will certainly do your part to help better the island. The open world around you features over 20 islands to explore, with many friends to meet along the way.
You will even be able to customize your very own island! Build your houses where you want, craft everything you need to have a functioning town, or fill the whole thing with farmland, it is all up to you. There is even a day and night cycle, and weather effects that impact the world around you.
Indie World Showcase
At this yeas Indie World Showcase, Summer In Mara had its own time slot that gave us a look at how far the game has come in development. You can clearly see just how much love and devotion has gone into making this one epic indie game that won’t be overlooked.
For more information about Summer In Mara, you can check out the new page for the game on the official Nintendo website. This title will be a timed exclusive for the Nintendo Switch, and releases in Spring this year.

A new Indie World Showcase means all new great indie games are coming to the Switch!
There could never be enough cute indie games on the Nintendo Switch. From Stardew Valley to Untitled Goose Game, Indies seem to fit right in on the most family oriented console currently available.
In the last Indie World Showcase, we got at look at some pretty cool games. Sports Story, a sequel to Golf Story, and Sail Forth, a cute game about boating, were some of my favorites featured in the last airing.
Also, seeing as how this event was pretty much leaked by a rumor, that gives us a bit more hope about the same being true for a Nintendo Direct coming soon.
SkateBird was also at the last showcase! Nintendo recently announced via Twitter that the next Indie World Showcase will be tomorrow at 10AM P.T. To see the event live as it airs, just visit the corresponding page of the official Nintendo website.

Nintendo is offering a great deal on some of the best indie games of 2019 until midnight on the 28th.
As you very well know by now, I find that some of the best games currently available on the Switch are indie titles. From the currently uber-popular Stardew Valley to the soon to be smash hit Little Witch In The Woods, indie games usually have the perfect combination of simple yet cute graphics with a rich and compelling story.
Nintendo is currently offering a sale on some of my favorite indie games for this year. If you follow myPotatoGames closely, you will certainly recognize a few names. Cuphead, Baba is You and even Unravel Two, just to name a few. Check out the list for yourself, there is sure to be something for just about everyone in Nintendo’s indie sale!
And don’t forget that Nintendo is also offering great deals on a wide variety of other games in the eShop.
