If you watched the Nintendo Direct yesterday, you probably saw the reveal trailer for the new Super Smash Bros. game coming to the Nintendo Switch. Even though we all expected to see a Smash game on the Switch eventually, getting the announcement in the direct was definitely surprising. For Animal Crossing fans, the direct might’ve been a bit disappointing since no announcement of a Switch version was mentioned. Now that Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Switch is announced and confirmed, we think this only increases the chances of getting a similar announcement for Animal Crossing Switch at E3 2018.

Super Smash Bros. always has a big announcement and a lot of the time, E3 is the place we see it. Now that the reveal is out of the way, that leaves more room for Nintendo to have another big reveal. Nintendo usually has at least one big surprise at E3, so we’re thinking Animal Crossing Switch could be one of them at E3 this year. Of course we’ll most likely see a new trailer for Super Smash Bros. Switch, but everybody is expecting that to happen.

An Animal Crossing Switch announcement at E3 2018 would be massive and a lot of Nintendo fans want to see it happen. Like we said before in a previous post, Animal Crossing has been announced at other E3 events in the past. Getting confirmation of it at E3 would be great! E3 2018 is only about 3 months away, so we don’t have to wait too much longer!

Keeping in mind that many Animal Crossing games, including Pocket Camp and New Leaf have been released in November. An Animal Crossing Switch announcement at E3 would make a November release highly possible.

To get caught up with everything shown in the Nintendo Direct, check out the full recap! Learn more about the newly announced Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch! Don’t forget to check out part 1 of our 5 part Animal Crossing Switch Dreamlist series over here. Check out the video below for more on Animal Crossing Switch potentially being at E3 2018!

Welcome to the first part of the five part series, Animal Crossing Switch Dreamlist! We have some great ideas for the next Animal Crossing game and we’ll be explaining in depth how each idea would work. Part 1 is all about the new system for moving in villagers!

The original Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing: Wild World, and Animal Crossing: City Folk all used the same way of moving in villagers. All three games used the wooden signs. These signs were placed randomly around your town and were there the second you started playing. These signs represented where a villager’s house could be. You didn’t have the ability to move these signs though, so you had to deal with the placement of them. Things changed in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The signs were removed from the game and villagers simply moved in wherever they wanted, even if that meant on top of your trees, paths, or just a bad spot in general.

In Animal Crossing Switch, we feel like you, as mayor of your town, should be able to choose where your villagers move in. No more signs or randomness to the game, you pick the exact location. When starting up your game while talking to Isabelle, she’ll let you know if someone new is moving in soon. If so, once you get into your game, head over to the Town Hall and talk to Isabelle. Then you’ll be able to show her around town and pick the exact spot you want the villager to move in. Then, after you do that, a fenced in area will show up, similar to how it does in New Leaf. This will let you know where the house will be placed and that you can expect a new villager the next day. If you choose not to talk to Isabelle in the Town Hall regarding the house placement, the villager will have the ability to move in wherever they want.

Choosing where villagers move in will help when it comes to planning out your town. You no longer have to worry about someone ruining your town layout. It will also make you want to keep playing often to make sure everything is going as planned. If you decide not to choose where villagers move in, that’s okay too. Some players might not care as much and will allow their villagers to move in wherever they please! We feel like this addition to Animal Crossing is needed for the players that have a good idea of what their town will end up looking like. Like we mentioned before, this system of moving in villagers isn’t mandatory so players aren’t forced to play this way.

That’s all for the first part of our Animal Crossing Switch Dreamlist, but we have four other parts coming very soon! For now, check out the recent announcement of a Nintendo Direct coming tomorrow! And, do you think Animal Crossing Switch will be announced this year? Check out what we had to say here!

A lot of Nintendo Switch owners are dying to get a new Animal Crossing game for their system. Even with the recent release of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, some fans are still wanting more. The reveal of Animal Crossing Switch could be here sooner than you might think. There’s a possibility of getting at least confirmation of Animal Crossing Switch in these next couple months.

    Nintendo Direct

It’s common for Nintendo to have multiple Nintendo Directs throughout the year. Sometimes it’s a direct focused on one game or franchise, and sometimes it’s a direct that could surprise us with anything. Nintendo usually has directs sometime in the spring so there’s a good chance we’ll see a Nintendo Direct between now and May.

    E3 2018

Even though Animal Crossing Switch could be shown off in a Nintendo Direct soon, we think it’s more likely to happen at E3 2018. E3 is the biggest video game event of the year. It’s the perfect place to introduce upcoming games to the fans. Animal Crossing Switch being revealed for the first time at E3 this year seems very possible. This also wouldn’t be the first time an Animal Crossing game was shown at E3. Animal Crossing: City Folk had a trailer at E3 2008 and Animal Crossing: New Leaf was first announced at E3 2010.

    What do you think?

We’re excited for these next couple months and are hopeful that an announcement of Animal Crossing Switch is coming. Do you think we’ll see Animal Crossing Switch in the next Nintendo Direct, or are you expecting to see it at E3 2018? Or maybe sometime after E3? Let us know your thoughts!

For more on Animal Crossing, the second part of the Spring Event in Pocket Camp has now started! And check out these custom Animal Crossing sticker packs too! Also, watch the video below for more Animal Crossing Switch speculation.

The publishers of Stardew Valley, Chucklefish, have been developing a new game called Spellbound. Chucklefish CEO Finn Brice recently talked with Red Bull Games to discuss more about Spellbound and whether a release for Nintendo Switch can be expected.

Finn Brice stated that the team took inspiration from Harry Potter, but mentioned that the world in Spellbound is much different that Hogwarts. The game revolves around learning magic in the school classes you’re a part of. Building relationships with characters and dating is also a big part of Spellbound.

The game is planned to release for PC, but might be coming to other platforms as well. “We’re all massive fans of the Switch at Chucklefish, and would ideally see all of our major projects hitting the platform in the future,” Finn Brice said.

We’d love to see Spellbound come to the Nintendo Switch! Are you interested in Spellbound? To learn more about the game, go here. And for all you Animal Crossing Fans out there, have you seen the customizable Animal Crossing Sticker Pack? Check it out here.

On the official Animal Crossing Twitter account, some screenshots were posted of Gulliver in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp! Not much is known right now, but it seems like Gulliver will show up in Sunburst Island. We’re not exactly sure when Gulliver will end up on the island, but we’d expect it to be sometime soon!

In New Leaf, Gulliver would show up on your beach and if you woke him up, he’d ask for you to help him remember where he was traveling to. If you were correct, you would receive a special souvenir in the mail the next day. It’s possible that Gulliver will need your help in a similar way in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

Recently, Celeste has become available in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and she brought a special item with her too. Also, check out these Animal Crossing sticker packs that can be made specifically for you!

A new special item, along with a new character is available in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp! You can now craft Celeste’s Telescope for 350 Leaf Tickets and once that’s done and it’s placed in your campsite, Celeste will come for a visit. The telescope item acts just like the Tom Nook’s chair and K.K. Slider’s chair items.

Also, if you have more than one of these special items in your campsite, you’ll only be able to see one character at a time. Celeste’s Telescope will be available until April 29th.

Windscape, a game that released on Steam back in September of 2016, seems to have plans for releases on other platforms, including the Nintendo Switch. A section of Headup Games’ website makes this a lot more likely. Windscape was originally going to release on the Wii U in 2016 but that version still hasn’t released and at this point, it probably won’t. This title seems perfect for the Nintendo Switch though!

In Windscape, you play as a girl living on a farm with your parents. The world of Windscape is made up of floating islands and eventually, you find out that these islands are breaking apart and falling from the sky. It’s your job to find out what is causing these things to happen and to hopefully put it to an end.

    Main Windscape Features:

Exploring – Windscape has a very simplistic but beautiful art style. Explore through the world taking on quests from different characters you come across, gather resources, and fight enemies in your way.

Crafting – Gathering resources is important because they can be used for crafting. There’s many crafting stations in key places of the world. You can cook different meals, create potions, make weapons, and more!

Dungeons – You’ll find some dungeons while playing through Windscape. Some are meant more for exploring and some are more connected with the story. One things for sure, you’ll be running into some challenging boss battles too.

If you want to try out Windscape, you can buy it on Steam for $16.99. To get a good look at Windscape, you can watch the trailer below. For some more interesting upcoming Switch games – the creator of Harvest Moon announced that he’ll be working on a new game called Little Dragons Cafe. Also, check out Kynseed, a sandbox RPG.

For more Switch news head over here to celebrate the consoles first anniversary, and see why it’s time for Smash Bros Switch now. And make sure you don’t miss out on Spellbound –  Chucklefish’s ( Stardew Valley’s publisher ) next game, that might come to Nintendo Switch.

    About Windscape

In Windscape you play as a young girl living on your parents’ farm, set in a lovely world made up of floating islands in the sky. As you discover the world you learn that something has gone terribly wrong – islands are breaking apart and falling from the sky! It’s up to you to discover the evil that is threatening the universe of Windscape.

As you travel the world(s) you will gather valuable resources allowing you to craft a plethora of items such as weapons, shields, potions, magical spells and much more. Some items will be just for fun while others are a necessity for your survival.

You will meet peaceful NPCs and vicious monsters both on the surface of each island as well as in the dungeons and lairs you uncover along your journey. While I want the islands to work in a non-linear manner, I have decided to make the dungeons more puzzle and combat driven – each with its own style and atmosphere.
Windscape will feature tactical fights against larger bosses such as ghosts, ogres and dragons. Of course, there are many valuable items to loot too.

What I don’t want Windscape to be? A stats-driven RPG, a terraforming sandbox game or a first-person action game. This is why I am asking for your support. I’m building this game for the community and hopefully with the community. I feel your feedback is really needed to match my vision with the high standards you, the players, demand. Because of this I have chosen to go into Early Access, hoping to make great friends and build a community which shares my vision and aids me on my development quest…
