A Frog’s Tale is an adorable passion project by NRMN with the help of development studio Cathar Games. This indie RPG is currently raising money to fund this project right here on GoFundMe. Meet Norman, the main playable character, who is trying to cope with the sudden loss of his father. Moreover, he’s a representation of the game creator’s, AJ Norman, own experience. Get swept up in an emotional and epic journey to save the world of Amphibia from a cosmic evil all while meeting a lovable cast of companions along the way!

    About A Frog’s Tale

The gameplay is a mesh between traditional 2D Zelda games and the Mario RPG series (Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi).  The game is presented in a top-down perspective with beautiful pixel art graphics inspired by classics from the 16-bit era. There is a strong emphasis on exploration and puzzle solving outside of battle, with a level of freedom and interaction rarely seen in the RPG genre. Enemy encounters lead to classic turn-based RPG battles, but what sets “A Frog’s Tale” apart is a unique twist to the combat system involving action commands synced to the rhythm of the music.

AJ Norman plans to have a playable build in one year to be able to make a pitch to publishers. For more updates, you can follow him on Twitter here. Interested in the thought of playing as cute little animals? Check out my article here: Tamarin Now in Development for Xbox One.

    Playstation 4 Kingdom Hearts III

This game also released about a year ago for the PS4, and, for the first time for this series, on Xbox One. Square Enix has just recently announced that a demo is available to download on the PSN here and on Xbox Live here. The demo contains two stories: one from the game’s opening sequence to the introduction of Olympus, and one that covers the first half of the Toy Box adventure. The save data of the former can be transferred to the full version of the game.

For a limited time, you can also try out a free demo for Garden Story. You can find all the details in my article here!

Yesterday we had some new World Premiere announcements and ports for Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass during Microsoft’s X019 Inside Xbox live-stream. Xbox’s library continues to grow with its own exclusives and third-party games, and today, we get to add another one to that list!

I first heard of Tamarin, an adorable 3D platformer, during this past E3 as it was announced to release on Steam and PS4 in Q4 2019 (which hopefully means next month). Now, the creators behind Tamarin, Chameleon Games, have posted a Tweet stating that the game is currently in development for the Xbox One! It probably won’t have the same release date but I’m happy it will be accessible to more people all the same.

During Microsoft’s X019, I caught the live show of Inside Xbox which revealed world premieres and gameplay footage for titles coming next year (2020) for Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass. You can watch the full stream below and check out my highlights for the most ‘potatoey’ games that I can’t wait to get my hands on!

Microsoft also announced their Black Friday sales which include discounts of 20%-70% off such as: $150 off Xbox One consoles, three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for just $1 and up to 50% off Xbox Game Studios titles! Furthermore, Project xCloud is coming to PCs sometime in 2020 and more than 50+ Xbox game titles are available in the Preview library.

    My X019 Potato List

    • Everwild: a new IP by Rare that will “give you memorable, engaging, and meaningful experiences for players everywhere to share.” There is no release date as of now.

    • Planet Coaster Console Edition: the theme park management game by Frontier Developments (Planet Zoo) is finally coming to Xbox One (and probably other consoles) this Summer 2020.

    • Drake Hollow: from The Molasses Flood, comes a game that seems to be about befriending plant-creatures and having them help you build items and structures. There’s also a battle element that shows some multiplayer aspects. It will be coming to Xbox Game Pass but we have no release date yet.

Stick around all weekend long for more news at X019 from London, England! Hopefully we can catch glimpses of games on the show floor! Also, I want to hear which game you are most excited about.

This new Doraemon game is set to be released in Japan next year.

The collaboration between Doraemon and Story of Seasons has been one of the greatest things to happen to gaming in some time. Now, Doraemon goes in a new direction with a fresh game being released that is based on the action/adventure anime movie of the same title.

Doraemon: Nobita’s New Dinosaur will release in Japan in 2020, and will hopefully come to the West. Although the Story of Seasons crossover is the only Doraemon game to receive a western release so far, so it doesn’t seem likely. But, who knows? Maybe Bandai Namco will get their hands on this one, too.

The new movie and game will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Doraemon franchise. The popular manga series has been doing quit well in gaming industry, and will continue to do so with the release of this new game, which follows in a line of over 60 Doraemon video games that have been released over the years.

Not much more has been revealed about the release of this new Doraemon game, but I will be sure to keep an eye it!
