Thank you to all treasure hunters!

Like all good things must do in their time, the Limited Edition Little Dragon Cafe giveaway has come to an end. We are very appreciative of all of the assistance that we received in this matter, and are utterly pleased with the results. The dragons are back home, safe and sound in the land of slumber (for now). In our heart of hearts, all participants are winners, but only one can receive the grand reward!

    The loot…

    And the winner is…

    Althea @fairiecrossing

    !!Congratulations!!

    Sharing is caring!

It is a great joy for the crew here at myPotatoGames to share our passion with all those who would hear. Sometimes, we are even fortunate enough to share our love in the form of gifts. This was one of those occasions, and just because you did not win this one (unless you did, in which case congratulations again!), it doesn’t mean that there will not be another chance to obtain some goodies in the future.

    Thanks again to all participants!

Specialized Animal Crossing tanuki statues for all!

Starting last night at 8p.m. (myPotatoGamesTime), Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp started giving away Tom Nook-ish tanuki statues to all those who log in between now and April 30th. The adorable little pudgy statue is the perfect adornment to any camp, and is a cute fit for the current holiday. With a slightly braggadocios description (with a mention that his statue is quite a trendy model), Tom Nook himself unveils the fish-packing, apron-toting idol with the fervor we’ve come to expect.

The tanuki, or Japanese raccoon dog, has long been seen as having magical powers, and a reign over all animals in nature. It makes sense, then, that Tom Nook would be the boss of AC, and eventually get his own tanuki statue. We can thank our lucky stars that we got an adorably cute rendition on such a silly occasion! Though loathe to give it away for free, we can be sure that Tom Nook is excited to share his visage with all.

For plenty more information on Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, check out all that myPotatoGames has to say. If you would like your very own Nook-ish style tanuki, you can get one right here!!

myPotatoGames has been a big fan of Little Dragon Cafe since its release. I mean, what’s not to love! From the creator of Harvest Moon, Yasuhiro Wada, Little Dragon Cafe is everything you’d expect from this creator, plus the ability to raise your very own dragon.

In case you missed it, you can certainly get all the information you need about this wonderfully evocative title right here at myPotatoGames! We fully enjoyed this most-excellent game, and would love to share that joy with one of our followers! So if you have either a PS4 or a Nintendo Switch, join us on this adventure to possibly claim your copy!

    How To Win…

Fairly simply, actually. Somewhere on the site, we were able to lose track of three dragons. These dragons didn’t seem to be particularly crafty, so finding them shouldn’t pose much of a challenge. I imagine it might even be as simple as looking at a few recent posts, given the lackadaisical manner of these specific fire drakes.

If memory serves, the dragons where turquoise, purple and orange of color. If you find them, please let us know by commenting, on the giveaway post in one of the social media platforms (Facebook post, Twitter post or in the comments below this post), the locations (the title of the post where you find it) of said dragons. We appreciate your assistance in this matter! We will choose one lucky helper to be rewarded with the Limited Edition of Little Dragon Cafe!

    A Cut Above the Rest!

If you do not consider yourself the average potato, there is a way that you could increase your odds at winning this adorable prize. If you are registered to the site, simply earn 25+ Tater Tots to have your name thrown in the hat a second time. Never hurts to up your odds!

Be sure to act fast, as all submissions must be entered by April 3rd, lest ye fall by the wayside… The winner will be selected at random from all participants. We love all of our followers, and are always excited to share goodies when presented with the opportunity.

If you aren’t into taking chances, and would like your own Special Edition copy of Little Dragon Cafe regardless of these results, you can click here for PS4, and here for Nintendo Switch.

If you’re a jumpy, easily-scared person like myself, It can sometimes be hard to join in with Halloween fun. You’re too old to get away with too old for trick or treating, but don’t particularly want to watch The Exorcist with your mate. But have no fear (literally), as we’ve compiled 5 great not-too-scary games that you can enjoy this Halloween.

    Night In The Woods

Night in the Woods is an autumnal themed indie adventure game. Highly relatable to many, the game shows the crumbling former mining town of Possum Springs. After the protagonist, Mae Borowski drops out of college and returns to her hometown, she finds things as gloomy and hopeless as ever. But this time there’s something more. Strange and eery occurrences are happening. And there’s something in the woods. This charming game with beautiful music can be played on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Xbox One, Android, Macintosh operating systems, and iOS.

Costume Quest & Costume Quest 2

Costume Quest is a Halloween-themed party-based RPG game. The game is developed by Double Fine Productions and published by THQ. The player controls a kid who is out trick-or-treating with their twin sibling. When their twin is kidnapped by a monster, the player must travel around the neighborhood and collect candy, items for their costume, and other children to aid them in fighting the monster and rescuing their sibling. The game was released on October 19th, 2010, and can be played on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Mac OS X, Linux, iOS, and Android. The game’s sequel, Costume Quest 2 was released on October 31st, 2014.

    Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon (also known as Luigi’s Mansion 2 in Europe and Australia) is an action-adventure video game for Nintendo 3DS. The game was released in Japan on March 20, 2013, and most other regions later on that month. The game is the sequel to the 2001 Gamecube game, Luigi’s Mansion. Luigi’s Mansion 3 is set to be released for Switch at some point during 2019.

The protagonist of the game is Luigi, who is sent by Professor E. Gadd to explore spooky abandoned mansions, inside which hostile poltergeists reside. Using the Poltergust 5000 (which resembles a vacuum cleaner), Luigi is entasked with capturing the ghosts and ultimately retrieving a Dark Moon fragment.

    Little Nightmares

Little Nightmares is a stop-motion-esque game, with an environment uncomfortably reminiscent of one’s childhood nightmares. The game is a puzzle-platformer horror adventure game that utilizes imagery, empathy, and strange and bizarre encounters (as opposed to overused jump-scares) in order to evoke a sense of horror. With the PC version of the game garnering a score of 81/100, critics praised the game’s atmosphere, graphics, and audio.

    Thimbleweed Park

Thimbleweed Park is a puzzle-mystery game that features pixel graphics. The tiny town of Thimbleweed Park is home to 80 very strange people. Five people with nothing in common are drawn to the town. Although they might not yet know it, they are all deeply connected. They’re also all being watched. From a rotting corpse to an abandoned circus, the game is a far cry from Stardew Valley. The game is available to play on Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Linux, and Mac.
