New rumors emerged early this morning that say a new Nintendo Direct might be incoming, and may air as soon as Thursday March 8th. We have had a lot of rumors surrounding a Nintendo Direct, and a Smash Bros Switch game recently. But this time around it seems to be a little bit more likely. First of all, Nintendo JP has recently opened up a spot for a new direct on it’s website. This has often been an indication for a new Nintendo direct. Furthermore, game journalist and well known insider Marcus Sellers posted on twitter that a new Direct would come this week, on Thursday March 8th.

These rumors are to be enjoyed with caution, and there is a big chance they do not become true. But to add more fuel to the fire, there are speculations that Blizzard will soon reveal Diablo 3 for Nintendo Switch as well, an upcoming Nintendo Direct might be a good opportunity to announce the game. The last major Nintendo Direct happened in September 2017. Other directs were focused on particular games like Animal Crossing Pocket Camp or Xeneoblade. Nintendo has often held a direct in the spring, so let’s hope we will have one again soon.
