Everything is new with Animal Crossing New Horizons including the somewhat sad retirement of the controversial character. Resetti is no longer going to be part of the next mainline Animal Crossing game in favor of an auto save feature.

Resetti has been in most Animal Crossing games, but his attitude has been smoothened out by Nintendo in every new game of the popular village simulator. Resetti is the one animals that will yell at you for resetting your console to time travel, or simply to not save your game for multiple reasons.

    Goodbye Resetti!

Reports of earlier Animal Crossing games showed that kids were actually scared of Resetti, which was one of the reasons Nintendo has made him, well nicer and less intrusive. One of the reasons we dug deep to find 12 weird things in Animal Crossing that no-one really questions.

As players will have to travel without Resetti to the deserted island, an auto save feature has been added to the game. This means that at no point the player will have to actually manually save the game. This leaves fans to believe that time travel will no longer be an option in the upcoming game as rumors have been circulating that the last save game will automatically be loaded.

    No more Time Travel?

Nintendo has been promoting players to play alongside seasons instead of time traveling. Online features may require player to stop time traveling, as in New Horizons you can now live with other online players on the same island. We will have to wait for Nintendo to deliver some more official details on this situation in the coming months.
