[dropcap]Y[/dropcap]esterday we learned that Nintendo had released the first update for Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The new patch brought the version of the game up to 1.1.1. Nintendo has been vague about what the updated really changed in the game. Some early feedback from players was indicating that the frame rate drops on the Nintendo Switch have disappeared.

GameXplain and ElAnalistaDeBits‘ have published 2 videos that partially prove that the frame rate issues have been addressed. You can watch both videos below.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Nintendo Switch is still battling heavy stock shortages, with the console still hard to find at most major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy and Toys “R” Us. New sales numbers from Japan, however, suggest that the Switch is still flying off the shelves.

The Playstation 4 has sold 500.000 Units within it’s first 7 weeks in Japan. The Nintendo Switch has sold the same number of consoles, but only needed 5 weeks to achieve this. This places Nintendos new console ahead of Sonys Playstation 4.

The main reasons for the sharp decline in the Playstation 4 first few months were the lack of games that appealed to the Japanese market. The Switch however, may have enough games to satisfy the Japanese gamer, but the limited availability of the console is holding back sales. It will be interesting to see how the sales of the Nintendo Switch keep up. If the console continues to sell well, third party developer naturally want to release more games on the system. Below are this weeks console sales numbers.

    Japan hardware charts:

    Switch: 78,441
    New 3DS XL: 29,771
    PS4: 25,472

    2DS: 6,722
    PS4 Pro: 5,261
    PS3: 2,930

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]here are just so many different piece of armor and clothing you can collect in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. But some of them stand out more than the others. The particular outfit glows in the dark, making for an absolute unique and rare look. If you want to dress Link up in this cool outfit, then you can follow the instructions on how to obtain the costume below.

Nintendo Life has put together a guide on how to obtain the pieces. This particular costume lures skeleton-type enemies and can increase your attack damage when using the bone weapons, who would have thought these actually come in handy one day. But, let’s not be kidding each others – we don’t want this outfit for the stats, but because it looks so very cool!

To get this set, you will have to locate a very secret shop in Gerudo Town. You can only do this at night, so make sure the sun has set before starting your attempt. Enter Gerudo Town – to stay undercover you will need to be disguised as a woman. So throw on some lipstick, a wig, and a few cute pieces of clothing, and then head to the location shown on the map below.

zelda Breath of the Wild Location

Once you know on the door, you will be asked for a password. If you don’t know the password yet, head over to the other side of the town. Here you will find a bar – check the exact location on the map below.

zelda Breath of the Wild locked door

You’ll be asked for a password, which you don’t know at this point. Move to the other side of the town and visit the bar marked on the map below:

zelda Breath of the Wild bar

Try to eavesdrop on the conversation the people are having.

Now head over to the house next door, and talk to the little girl. She will explain to you that it is possible to listen to the conversation through the wall. Now you will learn the password: G, S and C – followed by the diamond shape.

zelda Breath of the Wild conversation

Head to the house next door and talk to the little girl – she will reveal that it’s possible to hear the patrons of the bar talking through the wall. Listen to the conversation and you’ll hear the password: G, S and C, followed by the diamond shape.

zelda Breath of the Wild Radiant Armour Set

Now you can head back to the secret shop we pointed out earlier. Enter the password – you are in! Now you have access to Geruod’s exclusive hidden and very secret shop! This store contains the Radiant Armor Set, the reason you did all of the above.

Unfortunately this comes at a cost, you will have to hand over Luminous Stones as well as Rupees.

[dropcap]N[/dropcap]intendo has been attending most of the past E3 gaming conventions in Los Angeles, with mixed feedback from fans. The company has been criticized in recent years for it’s lackluster shows. In 2016 Nintendo had scraped their entire show in favor of only showing Zelda: Breath of the Wild. However, this year Reggie the president of Nintendo North America promised to deliver a big show. Furthermore, he says fans can expect big announcements not only for Nintendos latest console, the Nintendo Switch, but the Nintendo 3DS will get an equal amount of love.

Many Nintendo fans are hoping to hear more about the recently delayed Animal Crossing Mobile game, as well a possible Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Switch. It will be interesting to see what games Nintendo will bring to the E3 2017, and what games we will be end up seeing that have not been announced yet. Check back for more information on this as we approach the start date of the convention on June 14th – 16th.

Reggie Fils-Aime – The Full Statement

“E3 is always a big time for Nintendo. We look at each E3 as a unique opportunity to tell our story. And we’re gonna have a big E3 this year. We’re going to be showcasing a variety of games. We will have experiences for… consumers will be able to attend the show for the very first time. So I’m not gonna tell you all of the various games and all of our little secrets for E3, but I can tell you that E3 is going to be a major opportunity for us to showcase not only Nintendo Switch, but also content coming to Nintendo 3DS.”
