Ooblets has become one of the most anticipated games so far this year. It is a hybrid between Animal Crossing, Pokemon and Harvest Moon. These are games we all love and adore, comfort games we can turn to whenever we need a lift. Ooblets is aiming to become one of those games – you can play for years and still discover something new every time you return to the world.

Rebecca the developer behind Ooblets describes the game as ” Ever wanted a game that lets you collect cute creatures, manage a farm, and explore? Well you’re in luck buster, because that’s what I’m making! “. Not only can you farm, explore, and decorate your very own home, but you can also grow tiny little Ooblets, creatures to collect and love.

As the game is not going to be released anytime soon, we will just have to cozy up and enjoy following the development process of the game. The developers have recently announced that new characters have been added to the game. These are NPCs you can interact with. You may find them hiking in the beautiful countryside of Badgetown, the main city in the world of Ooblets.

    Ooblets NPC character

The developers have also made great progress on the interiors. Badgetown is a booming city. Here you will find cafes, Shops, homes and more. The new Frunbuns clubhouse ( see below ) has recently been added to the game.

Some minor things like sprinting have also been added to Ooblets as well. The need to sprint hints at a rather large map of the game. The developers have stated that sprinting might be replaced by something more fun ” We’re hoping to expand on the idea a bit and maybe replace boring old sprinting with something more fun like rollerskating or skipping (or both!).

The next steps the developers are working on is to integrate a new starter home. Similar to Animal Crossing you will start out with a tiny house, that with hard work and sweat can be upgraded to an actual home. Furthermore, the main city is undergoing constructions as Rebecca the developer behind Ooblets explains,  “ Badgetown is going to go under a major rejuvenation project adding all sorts of new buildings like a real estate agency, furniture shop, salon, and more! “.  Rebecca also points out that they are currently working on adding the option to have multiple save games at the same time. She claims this will be especially useful in designing the ever-elusive shopkeeping gameplay.

Ooblets is currently set to release on PC and Xbox One. A specific release date has not been announced yet. Check back for more updates on Ooblets coming very soon!

The animations have been posted on Twitter by ” nonplayercat ” the creater of Ooblets.

    Home Sweet Home

It’s interesting to see is the furniture implementation in the first tweet. It seems you will be able to decorate your very own home in a similar fashion to Animal Crossing with the recently added placement system in Animal Crossing: New Leaf Welcome Amiibo first introduced in Happy Home Designer. Making object placement a lot easier and more fun.

    Sprinklers!

The second video shows what seems to be sprinkler or irrigation system helping to farm more, faster and better. Watering your garden can be fun, but also time consuming. Having sprinklers do your work as your garden, or farm becomes bigger is a huge benefit. We can’t wait to grow our very own cute, adorable Ooblets!

    Rainbow Cuteness!

By now it is no secret that Ooblets is an adorable looking game. In the short animation below you can admire the cute Ooblets dancing and running around in what appeas to be a living room kinda location.

Albion Online has been stuck in the Beta phase for quite some time now. The game is a top down exploration and adventuring MMO. Albion Online is hard to summarize in just a few words because there is just so much you can do. Besides crafting, exploring, enhancing your character, you can also built your own settlements, create a guild with your friends to help you build your own village with a bakery, a farm, your own house and more. The settlement will function as the hub for your guild. This is where you gather, exchange items, and put all those resources you worked so hard to collect to use. You will have to work with your friends to advance your town faster. In a nutshell Albion Online is a sandbox MMORPG set in an open medieval fantasy world. It has a fully player-driven economy; all equipment items are player-crafted.

Albion Online GameOne of many remarkable features in the game are the towns. A public town that can be visited by anyone, can also be changed and altered by anyone. You are able to buy a lot right in the middle of any town you wish to start a business. Within the town you can then see demand for certain items. let’s say the village you picked is lacking food, you can open a bakery, collect all the items needed to bake and start selling your baking goods. You can set the price for which you want to sell it for. You can even let other players use your bakery for a fee. This is also where Albions Online extremely fun player exchange market comes into play. Making and crafting your own things then selling them to other players is a big part of the game – and a lot more fun than you may be used to it from other games. In the end, any item available for your character is made by another player in the game.

    Albion Online Farming

Of course if you wish to keep to yourself, you can just build your very own player house. Build your home, then furnish and decorate it to your own style! Comfy beds, tables laden with hearty food, gruesome hunting trophies. Furniture not only makes your house a home; each item also provides distinct bonuses and abilities to your character.

Albio Online can be played in different ways, if you wish just to farm and built, you may do so in the sandbox mode. This makes the game feel surpassingly a lot like a Harvest Moon, or even the newly released open world Zelda: Breath of the Wild kinda game. But then there is another side of Albion, a side where you can explore dungeons with your friends kick some mobs, and overtake the neighboring city. You can freely combine armor pieces and weapons in the unique classless system – you are what you wear. Explore the world and tackle PvE content. Engage other adventurers in small- or large-scale PvP, and conquer territories. Gather. Craft. Trade. Conquer. Leave your mark in the world. Below are some main features of Albion Online.

Albion Online Beta is now available for PC, MAC and LINUX with the official launch set for July 17th 2017. Watch the gameplay trailer below.

At first glance Pumpkin Online looks like a hybrid game between Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing and the Sims. But it is a lot more than just that. Pumpkin-Online is a multiplayer farming dating simulator that aims to be different than anything you have ever seen before. This game is as relaxing as Animal Crossing, with a big spoon of role playing elements. You can even craft to customize your items, decorate your very own farm, and go on various quest. The best part? You can bring your friends all along with you.

The game is based on a Multiplayer concept, this means that everything you can do in the game, you can do together with your real life friends. Farming by yourself is fun, but inviting a friend to help you – elevates the experience, and adds a whole lot of fun to it. Why do the chores of gardening yourself if you can pay your friends to do it for you? You can connect and share the experience with your friends from all over the world, much in the spirit of games like the recently revived Sims Online or other online worlds like World of Warcraft.

Now what can you actually do in Pumpkin Online? How about getting married? Like Harvest Moon, this game will  feature dating, bonds, friendship and even marriage – regardless of gender. Social interactions between players and computer characters give the game more depth, and makes it feel more alive. Having the option to get to know in-game characters adds a fun twist to the gameplay. Beyond dating the cutie down the road, you will also be able to fill your day with activities like fishing and bug catching – Animal Crossing fans are very familiar with those kind of activities.

Dating, Fishing, Bug hunting and going on a mission for quests all sounds like a lot of fun, but Pumpkin Online does not stop here. You will be able to fully customize and build your own farm, and invite your friends to help you along the way. You will be able to decorate the inside as well as the outside of your farmland. Furniture can be collected and placed in your home as well. Home sweet Home!

There is a lot more information to come on Pumpkin Online. The small indie developer studio is hard at work to make the game as perfect as possible. It is currently in development, graphics, and features are not final yet. It is currently set to release later in 2017 for PC only – however the game is being developed on the Unreal 4 engine, this is an engine that the Nintendo Switch supports, a port for Nintendo’s new console is more than likely. A Mac version is being considered as well. We will keep you updated on Pumpkin Online.
