There has been a lot of speculation around Shops and buildings in Animal Crossing New Horizons. It appears that a survey sent out by Nintendo Europe finally reveals some information on this.

The survey sent out to European Nintendo fans does not reveal much that we haven’t heard yet. However a direct translation from the German newsletter points out an interesting bit about placing and constructing buildings as well as some more details on fishing and crafting.

Choosing where to place buildings!

According to the survey players will be able to choose exactly where to place any buildings, this will prevent villagers from moving into your town and bulldoze over everything you have created previously – yay!

Animal Crossing Local and Online Multiplayer Details

The newsletter also expanded more on how the multiplayer is going to work in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Even though we already received plenty of information on the co-op mode in the game, it is nice to see that Nintendo indeed focuses on the multiplayer part of New Horizons a lot.

Up to 4 players will be able to play on the same console together and live within the same town on the same island. This means that every player will have their own home they can decorate and build up and simply walk over your friends house to say Hi!

Of course up to 8 players can team up via online play – keep in mind this will most likely require an active Nintendo Online Membership.

New Fossils, Shells and Advanced tools for Exploration!

The survey also points out that there will be a lot of new things to collect. Nintendo mentioned fossils, shells and fish as just a few examples!

The pole also gets some more attention, as Nintendo points out that the advanced Pole can be used to discover more areas of your island that may have been hidden or unaccessible before! This could most likely mean that some areas of your island may be locked at the very beginning!
