Random villagers moving to your island in Animal Crossing New Horizons has been a frustrating point among fans. The latest datamine sheds some more light into the issue.
I have combined a list of some methods to get right of unwanted villagers but one thing is for sure, there is no guaranteed way of evicting a fellow animal from your island.
Ninja is one of the most infamous dataminer for Animal Crossing New Horizons and his latest report focuses on how to evict islanders.
There are factors you need to meet!
Before any villager will ever consider leaving your precious island you will need to have at least 6 residents. Once you meet this criteria there is a small chance any one of your islanders will consider leaving your island.
You may notice a little thinking bubble above their head on any particular day. If you choose to talk to them they may let you know that their desire is to leave the island. It is then your choice to follow through or not. Keep in mind – if you convince the animal to stay he or she will not consider leaving again for at least 5 days.
Villagers likelihood of moving out is based on the friendship level
The likelihood of a villager choosing to leave the island heavily depends on the friendship level. If you want a villager to stay you may want make some generous gifts that you know he or she will love. You can determine the best gift for each villager using this tool.
In the opposite case where you would like someone to leave, make sure not to talk to them and to perhaps give them nothing or something they seriously dislike.
Villagers may not move out if their birthday is near
According to Ninja, villagers will also not considering to leave your island if their birthday is within the next 7 days. Furthermore if you have moved their home they will also not want to leave for at least 7 days!
All of this means that animals leaving your island is pretty much left at chance. However, at least you can make some moves to speed up the process!
What do you think?
