Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been in development for many years. Initially planned to be a Nintendo Wii U only game, it was then delayed to allow enough time for a Nintendo Switch port. The game was first shown of at The Game Awards 2014, where we were getting a first glimpse of the beautiful world in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
But the game was far from completion at that stage, and during development a lot of things can change. The video from GameXplain below compares the Zelda game we received on March 3rd, to what was shown throughout the years by Nintendo. It is remarkable to note how much landscaping, and changes have been done in the years between the The Game Awards 2014 and the official release date.
