With Animal Crossing New Horizons merely two months away, one begins to wonder – where are all the Animal Crossing New Horizons News?

You could argue that Nintendo has plenty of time until the release and that we have already gotten a descent amount of information. However what do we really know about New Horizons so far? If you have played any mainline Animal Crossing game prior to this, we don’t know much about what New Horizons has to offer besides the addition of crafting and the fact that it is…. an Animal Crossing game.

Latest News Raised Even More Questions

In fact the recent bits and pieces Nintendo chose to release only raised more questions. Looking at the latest Animal Crossing New Horizons Box Art we can see that perhaps Chip has a son that we have the pleasure meeting in ACNH. There is another new character that appears to look like a DoDo who I is the pilot of DoDo Airlines. Will we be able to travel around?

The new high-res image does show multiple islands in the background, so there may be a chance that we can visit other neighboring islands – much like Hawaii!

There are just so many questions I have about Animal Crossing New Horizons, will there be stores? Can we indeed visit other islands? Will there be any more new Animals? Whats Isabells role in New Horizons?

Nintendo Direct in January!

Five years in a row we had a Nintendo Direct in January, I would be surprised if 2020 would mark a difference. Nintendo might be holding back on Animal Crossing related news until the company is ready to finally lift the big curtain during a Nintendo Direct or even an Animal Crossing Direct.

GameStops recent SKU leak could be an indication of an upcoming Direct – though this should be taken with a grain of salt.

Pokemon has received almost daily news 5 months prior to the release. New Pokemon were announced frequently, new information about the Galar Region and so much more. I truly hope we will get a similar treatment in time for the ACNH release.
