The latest Story of Seasons Pioneers of Olive Town updates finally improves and simplifies the crafting system.

Pioneers of Olive Town for the ones who don’t know is the latest installment in the long running Story of Seasons franchise. The first full new title in the series released with a bunch of new features never seen in Story of Seasons before. Huge farms and a big world to explore were among those new features but also crafting was finally introduced.

However, the crafting in the game – while fun, was considered a bit of a hassle by the community. Luckily Marvelous listened to the players and now released a patch to address some of the concerns.

Prior to this update players could only make one single item per “maker” this meant that multiple devices were needed to be build if you wanted to craft different items. This quickly became a hassle since a lot of things have to be crafted in Pioneers of Olive town to receive the desired final product.

This little change will dramatically improve how crafting works in the game.

In addition, players have also complained about a stuttering gameplay experience with long loading times. Marvelous once again made improvements on this front as well – so be sure to update your game to the latest version to benefit from all these changes.

The patch is now available for free, simply check your game for the recent version to download the new update.

Story of Seasons Pioneers of Olive Town is currently available on Nintendo Switch. There is also an Expansion pass that releases new content every month, take a peak at the latest DLC additions – new areas, characters and more.

Story of Seasons Pioneers of Olive Town Update Notes

• Adjusts some of the residents’ existing dialogue and adds new dialogue
  • Our team is now working on writing new dialogue so that players can enjoy getting to know the residents of Olive Town even more than before.
• Changes the functionality of all makers 
  • In an effort to improve the functionality of makers, they will be changed so that each maker is able to create multiple items.
  • All makers can now be set to create the same item in succession (up to 10 times)
  • You can now take item as soon as they have been made, and you can now add the same materials to the makers while the making process is ongoing
• Improves visuals during eating scenes
• Adds the ability to lock movement in a straight line 
  • Holding down the L or R button and moving using the L stick will now allow you to move in only four directions.
• Adjusts cooking times 
• Removes the need to press the A Button when moving from indoors to outdoors
• The friendship level is now displayed on the screen when talking to a potential love interest
• Changes the effect of giving a gift/confessing/proposing multiple times in a single day
• Further reduces stuttering
