It was only a few short weeks ago that the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe had nearly doubled the Nintendo Switch sales. With exciting games like ARMS and Splatoon 2 on the horizon, Nintendo is confident it will keep up with the great sales of the hybrid console. The Financial Times magazine has reported that Nintendo has increased it’s sales forecast. According to the article the company now estimates to sell a whopping 18 Million consoles by March 2018.

Nintendo has not confirmed the report, and remains silent about commenting on these numbers. It is very important for Nintendo to sell as many consoles as possible beyond the obvious reason for profits. The more consoles are sold, the more third party developer will be developing for the Nintendo Switch.
