The Nintendo Switch remains to be sold out at major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy and Toys “R” Us. If you are trying to buy a Nintendo Switch, you may be in luck as Gamestop promised to get more stock in starting Wednesday, March 22nd. However, the few lucky people who were able to get a console on day one, may have had some issues with the Joy-Con controller disconnecting randomly.
CNET Australia has sent their left Nintendo Switch Joy-Con in for repair. They have taken photos of the inside of the controller before and after. It seems that Nintendo has found what is causing the issue, and the fix seems to be extremely simple. A foam block has been added to the bottom corner of the controller to avoid any disconnections.
CNET Australia also states that they have purchased a new controller from Amazon. This new controller is not showing any disconnection issues. After inspecting the new Joy-Con controller, CNET noted that the little piece of foam was not in place. Nintendo has proabbly already addressed the issue, and new shipments will not be affected by the desync issue. If you experience any problems with your controller, you may want to reach out to Nintendo to get your Joy-Con fixed.
