If you played New Leaf there is a chance you have spend some time on making beautiful patterns for clothing and even tiles. Nintendo now revealed that you can use those patterns in Animal Crossing New Horizons!

Thanks to the Nintendo Switch Online app that you can download to your phone for free, you will be able to use your phones camera to scan the infamous QR codes that inspired so many fans of the game to create unique patterns.

Use thousands of New Leaf Patterns in New Horizons!

This means that ideally you could use your Nintendo 3DS and a copy of New Leaf to draw the patterns with the included stylus and then scan the QR code with your phone to use your designs in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

If you don’t feel so artistic yourself, not to worry there are thousands of adorable clothing pattern out in the wild since players from around the world created content for many, many years!

Pattern creation was one of the most requested features it comes in handy that Nintendo recently started selling an official Nintendo Switch stylus. This comes in super handy if you plan to draw your own designs. Keep in mind you can use any stylus such as this one from Amazon.
