[dropcap]T[/dropcap]oday at E3, Ubisoft announced a new title named Skull and Bones. Skull and Bones will be a pirate based game that builds upon Black Flag‘s Naval Combat. It is scheduled to release Fall of 2018 on PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4.

The game is developed by Ubisoft Singapore. The naval open world game takes place in a shared world where you can play solo or with friends.

In the gameplay trailer above, Ubisoft showed off the variety of ships that will be available to the player. The range is from cannon heavy ships to quick, lighter ships. Size and Armaments combined with the nature of the ocean and wind will determine how to approach the various scenarios of combat that the player will face.

The Multiplayer Mode Loot Hunt pits two teams of 5 ships against each other in a race to find treasure. The players compete to take in Gold and to stay afloat.

Players can stay at a distance and launch volleys of cannonballs and mortars or close the distance to board ships and ram them.

The game looks to be perfect for anyone who’s a fan of Black Flag‘s Naval Combat or a fan of all things pirate.
