Nintendo announced during it’s quarterly financial call that Dr. Mario World is coming to mobile devices this summer. The big N is expanding it’s mobile efforts in collaboration with LINE. Previously Nintendo worked closely with DeNa to bring mobile games like Animal Crossing Pocket Camp to iOS and Android.
Dr. Mario was first released on the NEX in 1990 as an action puzzle game. The game has since then kept a steady fanbase, and it has quickly become one of the most famous Mario spin off games of all time.
Nintendo is expanding it’s mobile business to further attract and introduce more players to the companies impressive game lineup only available on dedicated Nintendo consoles.
During the conference the big N also mentioned that the long awaited Mario Kart Tour is coming to mobile phones this year. The mobile game was expected to release by the end of 2018, but the company wanted to further enhance the game before releasing it to the public.
