The new Pokemon mobile strategy game, Pokemon Unite, was just announced in the Pokemon Presents stream.

It looks like the Pokemon Company has found yet another genre to expand their franchise into. The new game, titled Pokemon Unite, will be a MOBA game released on Nintendo Switch as well as mobile devices.

As of now, League of Legends is, and probably always will be, the biggest multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game on the market. But I wouldn’t be surprised if The Pokemon Company could give them a run for their money.

    About Pokemon Unite

As mentioned above, the new game will be released for the Nintendo Switch, as well as iOS and Android devices. The game will feature cross play between the platforms, so those on Switch can still play with their friends on mobile.

The game will be set up as a 5 v 5, with the goal being to score enough points against your opponent within the allotted time. You will be able to catch the Pokemon you wish to fight with. You will then level them up through battle, and choose which moves you wish for them to learn.

    Pokemon Unite

There will also be special moves that each Pokemon can learn once they reach a high enough level. Each Pokemon has their own specific special moves that are unique to them alone, and they are called Unite Moves.

Pokemon Unite is a free-to-start game, meaning there will be in-game purchases to help you along the way, if you so choose. The announcement also came with a trailer, which can be viewed below.

We haven’t even finished with the special event of increased chances to find Gigantamax Butterfree, Drednaw and Covirknight in Max Raid Battles until early January 2020 in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. Now there’s another one! Starting tomorrow on December 4th, 2019, check out the Wild Area and the dens for a Gigantamax Snorlax, complete with a new look (giant berry tree on its tummy) and G-Max move called Replenish. This special move doesn’t merely deal damage to targets, it can also restore any Berries that Gigantamax Snorlax’s allies have eaten during the battle!

TYPE: Normal, ABILITY: Immunity / Thick Fat, HEIGHT: 114’10″+, WEIGHT: ????.? lbs.

    About Gigantamax Snorlax

The Berry seeds and small rocks that were tangled in its belly fur have undergone explosive growth thanks to the power of Gigantamaxing. With a tree sprouting upon its belly, this gigantic form of Snorlax has the majesty of a great mountain.

Whether because of the great weight of its stomach or its unchanged natural disposition, this Gigantamax Pokémon almost never moves. When the time comes to do battle, it lifts its upper body by just a tiny amount and attacks by flailing with its arms and legs. At first glance, you might think it’s not very serious about battling—but these actions pack a tremendous punch. In fact, Gigantamax Snorlax is said to be one of the strongest Dynamax Pokémon discovered.

The Pokemon Company have just announced that new plushies from Pokemon Sword and Shield will be releasing at the Pokemon Center in Japan on December 14th, 2019! Aside from the starter Pokemon, you’ll be able to get your hands on hands on Gossifleur, Eldegoss, Corviknight, Drednaw, and of course the ever-fluffy-fan-favorite Wooloo! Not to worry if you can’t physically go to Japan for these products as they’ll be available on Amazon Japan here and they ship internationally

Shopping through Amazon (with your trusty Google Translate for other languages) is an exciting way to get officially licensed products and not miss out on stuff like the new Holiday Merchandise shown earlier this month! Here’s the link for the Pokemon Frosty Christmas items as they tend to sell-out quickly on seasonal stuff!

The Pokemon Company announced their most recent exclusive Galar Region Pokemon to Pokemon Sword and Shield coming to the Switch November 15th, 2019. The odd duck holding a leek of the first generation Pokemon that had no evolution, Farfetch’d (I mean really that name has an apostrophe), is finally getting its due! Behold the mighty Sirfetch’d: Type is Fighting and Ability is Steadfast.

His leek gets an upgrade too; it is now cut in half to make a sword with the stem and a shield with the leaves. This Pokemon is 100% ready for this upcoming game. This amazing news comes after the last Nintendo Direct we received including Pokemon Camp, cooking, and customization! I also have to mention that potato leek soup is the best soup ever! See below for more details on Sirfetch’d.

    CATEGORY: Wild Duck Pokémon
     TYPE: Fighting
     HEIGHT: 2’7″
     WEIGHT: 257.9 lbs.
     ABILITY: Steadfast

A noble knight that fights fair and square

The Farfetch’d of the Galar region can evolve into Sirfetch’d after experiencing many battles. They are calm and collected, and they make a point of always battling fairly. They are so noble in battle that they are often chosen as a motif for paintings. Of particular note is a painting—famous in the Galar region—that depicts a duel between a Sirfetch’d and an Escavalier.

Its irreplaceable leek has seen many battles

In battle, Sirfetch’d uses the sharp stalk of its leek as a lance and the thick leaves as a shield. It maintains this leek over the span of many years and treasures it more than anything. When its leek finally withers, Sirfetch’d will leave the battlefield and retire from battling entirely.

Witness Meteor Assault, the signature move of Sirfetch’d!

Meteor Assault is a new move introduced in these games that only Sirfetch’d can learn! Sirfetch’d points its leek at the opponent and charges toward them at great speed. This move is devastatingly powerful! However, it appears that the move also puts great strain on Sirfetch’d. It will be unable to take action immediately after using this move.
