Super Mario Maker 2 finally allows us to play with our friends in multiplayer online!

Of course, the sequel to Super Mario Maker is going to be fun, no matter how you play it. But I know that I’m not alone in thinking that all Mario games are just more fun when you play them with a friend. And I would say that goes double for Super Mario Maker 2.

Well, now we can play SMM2 with friends online, and in local co-op or versus. You will be able to pick courses not only from Coursebot, but also from Course World. Enjoy the full game in its entirety as it was meant to be enjoyed, with your friends.

A recent in-game notification informs us of a doubling in the allowance for uploading levels.

Super Mario Maker 2 has been in the lime-light since its release on June 28th. Everyone who is anyone has a Super Mario Maker 2 level just waiting for us to jump into. Even Arby’s got in on the action for a bit of shamless promotion. Who can blame them? Customizing your own maps for others to try out hasn’t been this fun since Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 (personal opinion). Now, we can create and share even more thanks to the recent update in SMM2.

Not only has the amount of uploads increased from 32 to 64, but there is also a promise of another increase in the future. Not that we really need another increase after this one, but hey, the more the merrier. Especially since this is most likely a response to the community backlash regarding the low upload limit in the first place. We are super stoked to see that SMM2 is still growing, and the sharing is off the charts.
