Race, Dodge, and Eat Strawberries as Kirby with your Friends
Nintendo has just released a trailer for a short-but-sweet new Kirby game coming very soon. Kirby’s Dream Buffet is a colorful racing obstacle course multiplayer game like Fall Guys but all food/desert-themed. Yum!
What we know so far is 1-4 players can roll around in sets of 4 matches with a final round being “a fruity fight atop a floating platform.” It does not specifically say whether the multiplayer is only online or if it’s local. However, the disclaimer at the bottom of the game listing saying “sold separately” has me thinking it’s the former.
While dodging things like giant ice-cream cones, gaining speed and power-ups, etc, you’ll also have to collect strawberries along the way. Reaching the end of the levels will tally up and reward the tubbiest Kirby and its adorable. The trailer below shows that there are Waddle-Dees in the race but they look like they’re only NPCs and not playable characters.

Developed by FaceIT and published by Noodlecake Studios, Summer Catchers is an upcoming indie game that we here at MyPotatoGames have our eyes on. With breathtaking pixel art and a soundtrack that’s already won awards, this game looks beyond promising.
About Summer Catchers:
In the North country, there lives Chu, a girl who has never seen summer. Tired of the snow and ice, Chu builds a wooden buggy and heads off to the south, on a quest for summer. What awaits her in this vast, creature-filled world?
Summer Catchers is many things but, at its core, it is a 2D racing game. You will travel through 8 levels with different environments. Along the way, you will update your buggy with new looks and new abilities.
You will also encounter various creatures. Some of these creatures aim to keep you from reaching the south. To defeat them, you will have to equip the right tools right at crucial moments. You will also meet creatures that want to befriend and help you on your journey.

- Completionist Play: You may find a replay necessary if you want to find all the hidden bits in this game!
- Upgrades: Stylish upgrades are available for your car along with unlockable abilities.
- Discovery: Not only is the beautiful world explorable, there are also events and mysteries for you to discover.

Summer Catchers is set to release Tuesday, July 16th on Steam. The soundtrack will also be available as DLC.

Fling to the Finish is developed by SplitSide Games, a small team of students based in Philadelphia. The game will be released early in 2020 on PC and the Nintendo Switch. Types of courses in this unique racing game include: floating parks, giant casinos, and even worm filled asteroid fields! There are also a dozen of adorable characters to choose from and pair together that we here at myPotatoGames have a hard time deciding our favorites! You’ll be tethered by a stretchy elastic rope that you can use to swing around perilous obstacles, and fling your partner up ledges before they fall to their doom.
Choose your favorite pair of characters! Fling to the Finish is the first game built from the ground up to combine the racing and platforming genres. It was inspired by games such as Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Mario Sunshine, and Super Monkey Ball. It was also inspired by TV shows such as Wipeout and Survivor.
What is Fling to the Finish?
Fling to the Finish is a competitive physics racing game where you’re tethered to your best friend or worst enemy. Share a controller with your partner and coordinate your movements to master crazy obstacle courses. Take the lead against other teams by attacking them with barrages of plungers, humongous anvils, and deadly lasers! Take part in an innovative mix of genres as you platform through the most outrageous racing game to come to the market in years.
Play local couch co-op with a friend by sharing a controller! Fling is playable in single player, local co-op, or local/online competitive multiplayer with 1-16 players. Not only can teams that fall behind in races use items to gain the advantage, but obstacles dynamically adjust themselves to become easier to navigate for those not in the lead. For example, some platforms will actually become larger and easier to land on after the first place team has passed them. This ensures that even if players fall behind they’ll be able to win.
