Animal Crossing: New Horizons director Aya Kyogoku and producer Hisashi Nogam talk about things they would bring to a deserted island.
With Animal Crossing New Horizons still being months away from its official launch in March 2020, Aya and Hisashi sat down to answer some questions and reveal what they would bring to a deserted island. Animal Crossing New Horizons is set to release on March 20th, 2020. To tie fans over Nintendo recently released some new gameplay footage during the latest Direct. There has also been some new information about the games different multiplayer modes.

Now that E3 2019 is over, we here at myPotatoGames wanted to look back at everything we’ve learned and list our articles in case…there’s anything you missed! We covered most of the press conferences and gave you the scoop on all wholesome games!
We scoured live-streams for Nintendo Treehouse coverage, and E3’s Twitch channels and Twitter feeds. However, we left out Animal Crossing: New Horizons from the list because it would take up too much room (and if you follow MPG regularly, you’ll see we’ve got it pretty well covered), but you can join our new Facebook Page for all related news and fun.

Lots of wonderful and whimsical games received their fair share of gameplay at this years Nintendo Treehouse. We got to see many games that we are super excited about being played and talked about. One game that really stood out happens to be the next installment in an extremely popular series! No, not Animal Crossing. Pokemon has been all about cute little monsters battling to become cute big monsters since back in the day. Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield appear to be returning to the original formula, and we got to see all the new features and changes at this years Treehouse.
Much has been unleashed about this soon to be released title. Now, with this gameplay video, we have all the proof we need to see that this game is the remake that we have been waiting for. The bike is back and better than ever, now having the ability to instantly transform into a water vehicle!
If that’s not cool enough, you can now also see all the Pokemon that would have been hidden in the classic games, giving you the ability to choose whether or not to engage a wild. This comes as part of the grand package included as some of the quality of life improvements.
There has also been word that you will be able to heal your crew at the opening of the gym, instead of having to return to the Poke Center as a result of blackout. All of these new features have been implemented to streamline the gameplay, and make the game more immersive.

The Nintendo Treehouse this year was full of gameplay of all the upcoming games that we are super excited about, like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Zelda: Link’s Awakening. One special title that stood out (aside from AC:NH) was Super Mario Maker 2. With all the buzz recently surrounding this epic game, we were sure stoked to actually get to see a little gameplay ahead of its release on June 28th this year.
In case you are new to this series, Super Mario Maker is a creation/platform game where you get to create very own Mario levels, and play them with friends. The original title was released in September of 2015, and received overwhelming positive reviews. The gameplay footage of Super Mario Maker 2 from this years E3 shows just how much the series has evolved from the original title.
Many new features have been added to Super Mario Maker 2 to help streamline the level creation process. One such feature is the introduction of an items wheel. This gives ease of access to all the items one needs for all the different interactive pieces in the game.
Now you can quickly choose whether you want a fire blasting flower to heat things up, or one of those awesome feathers and take to sky! With so may amazing options to explore, we certainly can’t wait to get our hands on SMM2.
