Nintendo’s Summer Game Sale is gigantic, and includes some of my favorites!

Given that most of us are stuck inside, playing like mad on our games library, it never hurts to save a buck or two on a bit of options for expansion. Nintendo has become quite accustomed to decent sales of late, and the Summer Game Sale is one of their best so far.

So many games, I don’t dare try to list them all here. But, I will certainly choose some of my favorites to tell you about. The Summer Game Sale will run from today (6/9) until the 16th of this month (June), so be sure to check it out soon, lest you miss your chance to score some wonderful games at epic prices.

    Lots of Mario Games

Some of the best Mario games are being discounted in the Summer Game Sale. Super Mario Party has been marked down from $59.99 to $41.99. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe has seen the same discount, and is also now just $41.99. I’d say that Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker falls into the Mario category, and has had its price reduced from $39.99 to $27.99.

    summer game sale

Given that Mario is a spawn from the DK series, this is where I will include Donkey Kong County: Tropical Freeze which is now also priced at just $41.99. One super silly mashup including the Italian plumber is Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, which has had a drastic price drop from $59.99 down to $14.99. And last but not least on the Mario list is Mario Tennis Aces, which is now only $41.99.

    Some epic Indies

I’m always keeping an eye out for indie deals, since I can never quite have enough of them in my gaming repertoire. The Summer Games Sale has some pretty cherry ones to choose from. Cuphead is certainly a major one that comes to mind, and is on sale from $19.99 down to $14.99. Nothing major, but a deal is a deal. Speaking of epic Indies, Terraria is also on sale from $29.99 to $20.99.

    summer game sale

Knights and Bikes has been marked down from $19.99 to $15.99. Coffee Talk is reduced by just over $2, making it now $10.39. A Fold Apart is also just $2 off, so it now costs only $17.99. Overcooked 2 has seen a pretty good price drop, going from $24.99 down to $14.99.Also, Golf Story has had its price cut basically in half, leaving it at $7.49. Definitely some pretty great deals on some pretty great games!
