    Mario Kart Tour has seen huge success on mobile with more than 14 million downloads so far but players were sad to find a lack of real multiplayer competition in the first mobile installment of the kart racer. Today Nintendo announced that the promised multiplayer mode will finally start its engines this December.

    If you’d like to race and compete with your friends, or against other players from all around the world, you are in luck! The big N will be adding a live multiplayer feature this December, at least in Beta form.

    How to participate in the Beta Test

    To be able to participate in this beta test you will need to be a Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass Subscriper. This is Mario Kart Tours $4.99/month subscription model that unlocks new characters and other goodies every month.

    I am more of a couch potato myself, but when it comes to virtual sports, especially in the form of party games – I am all for it! Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is a game designed to celebrate the Olympics in Tokio, Nintendo style!

    Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 offers a wide variety of mini sport games in 3D as well as classic 2D games. There will be more than 30 different Olympic sports you can participate in using your favorite Nintendo characters such as Luigi, Mario, Yoshi and many more.

    Nintendo says you can look forward to “skateboarding, surfing, sport climbing, and karate—and a variety of events including archery, gymnastics, judo, boxing, marathon, football, equestrian, track and field, and many more.”

    The game will also feature unique motion controls using the advance Joy-Con controllers, If you played games like 1-2 Switch or Mario Party you know what you can look forward to – Twist, swing and jerk the Joy-Cons to win the game! The wide variety of the controllers will also allow you to play the game in local multiplayer such as table-top mode by simply passing one controller to your friend. Of course you can also compete online against up to 8 players.

    Mario Tennis Aces is free to play for Nintendo Switch Online members until August 13th.

    In a recent Tweet from the Nintendo Company, it was revealed that Mario Tennis Aces will be available to play for free for a short duration. This popular Esports title was released a little over a year ago, and was pretty well received for its graphics and gameplay. Now, all Nintendo Switch Online members will have the chance to play the game for free from August 7th to August 13th. Try it out to see if you like it, then you will also be able to purchase the game game at a 30% discount until the 30th of August.

    Nintendo announced that Nintendo Online Subscribers will be getting free access to selected games each month as part of their subscription.

    Much like Sony and Microsoft who offer free games to their subscribers each and every month, Nintendo will now follow their footsteps and start offering free game trials.

    PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players are already used to this format as PlayStation Plus and Game Pass offer free games each month that you can enjoy and play as long as you have a valid subscription.

    Nintendo is taking a slightly different path as the big N will only be offering free trials of selected games. The first game you can try out is Mario Tennis. The free trial will last from August 7th – August 13th. If you have a Nintendo Online Subscription, you will be able to download and play the game for free during that time.

    The biggest perk is that if you end up enjoying the game, you can grab it for a 30% discount at the end of the trial up until August 20th.

    Sports can be torture, but virtual sports is what drives the couch potato within us all. Super Tennis Blast brings arcade tennis fun to Nintendo Switch this month. No muscle pain and no expensive gear required, this arcade game is set to bring back nostalgia entertaimnent to a “next-gen” console.

    Unfinished Pixel is the indie studio behind the game and has recently brought us Super Volley Blast another arcade sports game. The developers aim to “to gather friends and family, no matter what kind of player are they, to play together.” Super Tennis Blast does exactly that as it features single or double play in local multiplayer or against AI. furthermore the game comes with an avatar editor in which you can create and customize your looks for yourself as well as friends and family you choose to play with… or against.

    Super Tennis Blast is expected to land on the Nintendo eShop on May 26th. The game will also release on Steam, on May 24th, Playstation 4 and Xbox are to follow as well.
